Prophet's Story
The story of prophet JOB

In genealogy, Prophet Job is still descended from Prophet Ishaq. As a man of choice, the prophet Job was known to have great patience. In his story, the Prophet Job was originally through a life that could be said to be perfect. For he is endowed with abundant wealth, good blood, and noble character.

But Allah tested the faith of the Prophet Job with various ordeals. Everything that the Prophet Job had disappeared, even he also suffered from severe skin disease. Even so, the prophet Job still showed his patience. He continued to pray and ask God for healing.

The story of the Prophet Job has been described in the Quran. If you want to observe it, how much wisdom and lessons we can take from the figure of Prophet Job as. By knowing the story of the previous prophets, we as Muslims are obliged to emulate and make it as an example.

Allah SWT has mentioned that the Prophet Job was His patient and merciful servant. Not only among humans, in a story explained that the Angel also praised the piety of the Prophet Job. Hearing all the praise, Satan also put jealousy on the Prophet Job. Satan continued to deny that the Prophet Job was obedient to Allah only because Allah gave him many favors. As if to prove the miracle and primacy of the Prophet Job, Allah gave a test by eliminating all his favors. Allah also allowed Satan to instigate the Prophet Job.

The prophet Job, who originally had wealth and lived well, suddenly went bankrupt. One by one the sons of Job also died. Not until there, the body of the Prophet Job who was originally gallant and healthy, finally attacked by disease. Even more sadly, the disease is a skin disease that looks disgusting and there is no cure. Those who had once admired the prophet Job turned away. There was only his wife and two brothers who looked after and cared for the Prophet Job.

The prophet Job received the test for 18 years as described in the hadith, "Indeed the Prophet Ayub alaihissalam was in the test for eighteen years. Both the immediate family and the family rejected him except for his two brothers. It was the two brothers who always fed him and met him."

"And (remember the story) Job, when he called upon his Lord: "My Lord, I have been afflicted with disease, and You are the Most Merciful of all loves." So We granted his appeal, and We removed the sickness which was in him, and multiplied their numbers, as a mercy from Us, and as a warning to all who worship Allah."

Allah granted the prayer of his servant, the Prophet Job was commanded by Allah to stomp his feet on the ground. Then came the water under his feet. The prophet Job used the water for drinking and bathing, as in Surah Shaad verse 42:

"Stop (tread hard) your feet on the earth, and rise there in the cool springs, and bathe and drink, and heal the disease."

By the power of Allah, the prophet Job was healed. His body which was originally gnawed by disease and aging, turned as fresh and fit as before getting sick. Allah also bestowed great favor on the Prophet Job, as in Surah Shaad verse 43:

"And We gave him (by gathering) his family and (We add) them as much as they did as a mercy from Us and a lesson to those who think."
