Special Task

“Carine?” marc is confused. He was like, heard that name somewhere. However, despite trying to remember out loud, he still could not remember.

And again, the woman standing before him, had a face similar to Reine's. In fact, it can be said, they make no difference. Like, Reine who transformed into Carine.

“Not, Deval. That's not. I'll explain everything, but I'm afraid there's no time. Rav, open another portal using this. Keep on, get Robin and Luc to the treatment. You understand?” pinta Carine was soft and firm, a distinctive tone from her. “Good, Miss. I understand” replied Raven followed by a submissive nod. Together with Carine, Raven appears more docile and very obedient.

“Deval, you have to come with me. There are important things that we must save first” Carine said to Marc. Although battered, Marc can still stand. But yes it is. It seemed, he was still confused by the entire incident that was happening before his eyes.

“Deval? Why bengong? I said, I'll explain. But because of time, I can't explain it right now. Still strong way, right?” carine asked as she put the sword back into place. Marc simply nodded in stammer. “Rav, I'll go to the old ruins. When you arrive, inform your Majesty. That old jackass witch, was passing through a portal that leads to downtown” Carine orders on Raven again. He still looked calm, facing a black magician-class creature.

Raven nodded while tightly gripping Robin and Luc with both legs of her dragon. “Nona, beware” he said shortly. “Hm, you too. Don't forget, send him my message. I was just anticipating. In case, I am late to execute him” stressed Carine. Raven nodded again, before flying up into the sky.

“OK, that one is in order. Now, come on, Deval” take Carine. Like a clumsy man, Marc moved slowly towards Carine. “You ready?” ask the woman. Marc nodded slowly.

Then, Carine seemed to be swinging her sword. Instantly, the sword turned into a silver scepter. Which if lifted, the length exceeds the height of the Carine itself.

Then, the stick was pushed to the ground. Like magic, Marc suddenly flew. Below him, several butterflies are seen circling him and Carine. The view was amazing for Marc. As it turns out, the protective butterfly is really real.

And he, is an ordinary human named, Carine. Marc believed it today. Not only he, Robin and Luc, may be very surprised to find out if, Reine has reincarnated into Carine.

Or, otherwise?

Marc's mind at the time was only embellished by Reine's change to Carine. He also quietly continued to watch Carine on the sidelines as they flew with the butterflies. Marc also repeatedly stared at the silver jewel adorning Carine's wand.

So, who is the owner of the jewel? What does this have to do with Reine? Has Reine been unreal all this time?

Marc's mind was again focused there. Unknowingly, he had arrived at the old ruins. A place no stranger to Marc.

“Why did I bring you here? Because, this is the duty of a Death Hunter like you. So, this is an old ruin. You must know, in the past here was where the establishment of a palace” explained Carine. They too, seem to be down. After that, the group of butterflies that made them fly, instantly dispersed and disappeared like dust.

The ruins, never weathered even in the eating times. The former white palace that was once so magnificent, still leaves concrete pillars supporting the building. In fact, the entrance of the palace was still intact standing.

For me, this is a hint from Heaven for the leaders of today. Where, this palace was once led by a Queen who was firm and wise. The Kingdom is truly in a safe, peaceful and prosperous position. Tragically, the palace was destroyed by the evil power of the black demons. Then the Queen saved her people somewhere. Only a few soldiers were ready to die, join him. With all that power, the Queen was willing to take her life for the sake of her people, the inner Marc. He seemed to be walking, trying to imagine the atmosphere in his mind.  The sacrifice of a leader, to protect his people. Therefore, this building is a silent witness to the sacrifice that the Queen has made.

“And this place, is now the key of the silver jewel. You know why?” chirp Carine, bak has heard the inner Marc. “Sa... I do not understand..” replied Marc drunkenness. “Because... I'm not gonna say it now. So, wait a minute?” canda Carine teases.

Seeing Marc who was constantly tense and confused, Carine continued to try to melt the atmosphere. “Our task is to return this gem to its place. Do you know where? No, huh? This silver jewel, must be returned on the palace podium. Otherwise, the entire population in this new world, would not be able to live anymore. And again, this is a special task, you know! Rarely, there are Death Hunters who come here” explained Carine. Instantly, Marc nodded. “It is an honor for me, to be able to carry out a special task like this” he said respectfully.

Carine smiled. With a firm step, he headed towards the podium. For a moment, Marc felt a strong wind pressure. The wind told him to stop stepping.

When he saw that Carine had gone far enough away from him, Marc saw a shadow from the past. A woman appeared to step towards the royal pulpit to receive an official order. Next to him, the white podium was still there. On the sacred red carpet.

Carine removed the silver jewel from the head of her wand. As she always did, Carine slowly placed the jewel on the podium. At the front of the podium, there is a wide basin. When the silver jewel was placed into the basin, the wind that had blocked Marc's steps, returned to how it was.

The new world, has returned to normal.

“Now, time to hunt. This time, are you ready? If you are tired, you can refuse. I'll send you to Robin and Luc”'s place Carine said giving an option. Marc looked silent. He still could not shake his confused feelings.

In front of Marc, there was a woman with the same face as Reine. Reine's charm, as if it had spilled over into Carine's. Or perhaps, the nature of Reine is also part of another trait that Carine possesses?

But he's not Reine. Perhaps, the face that Marc saw was an illusionary mirror created by his mind. He just can't accept.

Reine's not dead. But, he disappeared. Disappear? To where? He is no longer in this world.

Then, does that mean... Reine really has... isn't there?
