“Luc? And... Lady She? I'm still conscious, right? Lady She? Why is he here?” muttered Reine quietly. Curiously, he was still hiding in his place. He tries to hear a conversation between Luc and Lady He.
“I told you, this is a forbidden area for humans. Please come back, before I press the emergency button” pinta Luc firmly. “Hm? Are you sure you want to just throw me out? Apparently, you still do not understand what I said a few days ago” responded Lady She pitched with emphasis. “I understand, but it can never change anything. So, please you leave here” pinto Luc again.
Lady He looked at her with an angry look. “You don't understand what I mean! Until then, I'll never hand Reine over to someone like Marc! Especially to that rotten Deval clan! I don't want to!” pekiknya. Hearing this, Reine was surprised. Apparently, Reine had just realized that Lady He must have known something about Underwall and the others.
“Lady Him! You really are overdue! The Deval Clan was the strongest clan among the bloodsucking clans. And their clan, was also the most honorable clan. So, please, watch your word. You have no right to judge the Deval clan!”
“You defended him? You don't even remember, the Deval clan is the only clan you hate, Mr. Marchand. Remember that!”
“Don't try to change my memory! Whatever you say, I am the demon of the Marchand clan. Reincarnation or whatever it is, I don't care”
“Reine is in danger, sir. Therefore, I will not give up on Reine, stay put in our hotel! He is an ordinary human, not a demon!”
Hearing Lady He remained insistent, Luc seemed to let out a long sigh. “How many times have I told you? I'm working on it. I've already discussed this with Mr. Deval, so please don't incite the demons until they attempt to attack the Underwall. That, it is strictly forbidden. If the Death Hunters find out, you will definitely be exterminated. So, please go” said Luc gave an understanding. “A few days ago, I gave you a week. But unfortunately, Reine stayed here. So, I had no choice. I said it too, didn't I? If you fail to bring Reine back to my place, then I will not remain silent. Inciting the demons to attack Underwall.I have no other choice, Mr. Marchand” replied Lady He while looking shrugged.
Reine's eyes turned back. Tonight, Reine was struck by lightning. He did not understand, why Lady He instigated the demons to destroy Underwall, just because of her. Why should he not be in the protection of the Marc clan? Would that put him in more danger?
But, inciting the demons to destroy the Underwall was not something that could be justified. Threatening Luc, too, is not a good thing. Maybe, Lady she's just worried about me. But his actions, however, remain unjustified. I have to do something. For Underwall. And also, for the sake of dispelling suspicion towards me, Inner Reine was determined.
“So, I have to..” said Reine. He seemed to step out of hiding. He walked leisurely, leading to where Lady He and Luc were. Trying naturally, like just realizing the existence of Lady He by an accidental mimic is what Reine is doing. He can't be found out.
“Oh, Lady Dia?!” exclaim Reine shock. “Jeez, Miss Dallaire!” reply Lady He was no less shocked. Hurriedly, he seemed to be running towards Reine. However, Luc's hand is seen stopping Lady He's steps. He stretched out his hand, blocking Lady He's body that was about to run towards Reine.
“Your limit, just get here” said Luc not allow. “What...you mean?! Our relationship is very close! Not just a work friend. I think of her as my own daughter. Get rid of your hands!” amuk Lady He does not accept. But Luc is still in principle.
“Luc, it's okay. You can watch me from here” pinta Reine suddenly. “Rein, dia..” Sergah Luc stopped. Reine looked nodded. As if he assured that, “Everything will be fine”.
With a heavy heart, Luc allowed. Lady He seemed to be running back towards Reine. She hugged Reine tightly, letting go of her own son.
The two, engaged in a pleasant conversation the entire night. Although Luc, was still there to accompany Reine. And of course, keep an eye on them.
When Lady He returns to her place, Luc is seen driving Reine to her room. Along the way, the two seemed silent. No conversation came until Reine arrived in front of the room.
“So better, I hide or... how?” reine asked before stepping inside her living room. “Only Mr. Deval knows about this. Everything is up to you” replied Luc impressed scary. Reine was behind the door.
“Then you're like this, you're gonna be a pain in the ass. Take it easy, I won't tell anyone” said Reine rather annoyed with Luc's more annoying attitude than usual. “Sorry, I'm thinking a lot. You anyway, too reckless” retorts Luc trying to get back to normal. Reine shook her head slowly. “I did too. Because of the suspected cause of the chaos of Underwall, I feel lazy to do anything” complained Reine suddenly.
As soon as he remembered, Luc seemed to raise his index finger. “I'll fix that one. So, you don't have to worry. Basically, it's not you who should be suspected” he said later. “Who? You're the one to be suspected? Because it turns out, the chaos that happened it all started from you? You... Not the one who gave them access, right?” guess Reine bluntly.
“Rein, I said, I told Mr. Deval. But, Mr. Deval insisted on not hearing me. It's as if he didn't do anything. He's convinced that, we can all protect Underwall and you. Therefore, my job is to get there. Tell him and then, protect Underwall. For the reason why, I don't care. Therefore, it is no longer my responsibility”
“That means, all this time you know that the person who gave the demons access to the Underwall was Lady He?”
“That was a consequence of Mr. Deval's refusal. So, of course I know”
“Why did you silence him? Why are you only protecting Underwall, when you can get straight to the root of the problem?”
“First, because it's not my responsibility. Second, because that woman has a good relationship with you”
Reine looked to frown. “I thought, that's not a valid reason, Luc. You... hid something, didn't you?” guess Reine. And it seems, fitting. Looking at Luc's expression as if he was being cornered. “True, right?” continued Reine pitched more cornered.
“You're right. However, I decided not to tell you, Rein.” replied Luc disappointingly. “I can help you” bargain Reine. Unfortunately, Luc returned to his feet. “I haven't said this to anyone else. And I decided not to say it, including you. Please respect my decision. And wait. Later, I will definitely say everything to you” reject Luc by agreement.
But to Reine, those words were mere pleasantries. He knew very well, when someone promised to say everything later, that meant, they would never say it. Just like what happened to him. Right at the time he, still a child and his mother, was still alive in this world.
