Signal

“Antipation? Luc?” ask Marc who is still thinking about Gray's words. Marc is seen stepping in the hallway of Underwall, where he sees Gray disappear there. He had thought, Gray might go to the human world.

But... What'd he go there for? I think, lately he's always been hiding something, Marc thought. However, before Marc further thought, the Underwall sky was suddenly decorated with darkness. The Underwall windows, which had been illuminated by light, had been replaced by the gripping sound of lightning.

Duars!!

Marc hurriedly gazed towards the origin of the sound. Instantly, the people down there were suddenly in chaos.  They ran there and came here. They, like, are being threatened by a major incident.

From the right of the hallway, Reine ran to approach Marc. When he saw someone he loved was panicking, Marc lightning-fast ran towards Reine. So dramatic.

“You okay?” ask Marc worriedly. He held both of Reine's shoulders to make sure things were right. Reine only replied with a single quick nod. “You're fine too, right? What the hell's going on? Last time I was in the reception lobby, I heard a loud bang” he said later.

After many incidents, Marc puts Reine in the Front Desk of the hotel. Initially, Reine was only allowed to be in Marc's house. But because he wanted to go back to work, Marc finally allowed him to work as a receptionist for Underwall.

“I heard it too. It seems... There will be great danger again on Underwall” Marc said. Reine looked at him. As if, Reine already understood what would befall Underwall.

Suddenly the sound of a bang was heard again. This time, repeatedly. Like, two bombs dropped in one shot.

Marc and Reine ran to the window. They saw that some people down there had already fallen. “This. They even dare to kill other demons that are not related” said Reine.

Marc nodded in understanding. “They will do that. Sure. For they are part of the demons that are left over from the battle of Vosre. They want to continue the war” reply later. “They really...” said Reine until out of words.

Shortly after, a giant claw was thrown from below. The claw hit the wall next to the window, where Reine and Marc were standing. The claw, apparently belonged to a dragon-type demon.

Marc remained silent, despite seeing it happen in front of his eyes. He was only seen embracing Reine's shoulder and slightly shifting away. He looked fearless, as if it had happened before.

When the claw made it through the Underwall, like there was already a remote controller, the Underwall walls closed again followed by a hot blue fire. So, the claw that had penetrated, fell down again. The walls of the Underwall have returned to their normal state.

Reine looked directly at Marc in amazement. “This..?” the question still makes no sense. Marc nodded slowly. “Underwall is doing its job” replied Marc looking calm.

Before long, Robin found them. “Luc has successfully entered from the underground area” reported. He also looked calm. “Let him in. We don't know what he wants from this place. Because in fact, Underwall is not a place for people who are dirty heart” reply Marc firmly. His face turned serious. His facial muscles look stiff.

“What's your order?” ask Robin. “Enable all protectors” replied Marc. “All have been activated” Robin said.

Marc looked forward. He again observed the situation out there, from the window on the fifth floor. “If our staff become victims, do not hesitate to kill them. Although, Luc has to be involved. Tell the whole guard. This... is an order from me”. Robin nodded respectfully.

Robin's holding down the second floor of Underwall. Because, Luc and his soldiers might lead to that place, after successfully breaking into the road from underground. Robin was also seen deploying several guards to some important points.

When things get precarious, there's only one person Reine doesn't see. He could not even find that person despite searching all over the place. You can guess who that guy is, right?

“Maximilien, where is he? You saw it?” reine asked, as if she had lost the side of her shoe. “Max? I didn't see her again, after we all met in my room. I don't think he's here either. If he's not here, shouldn't he be... will he be fine?” replied Marc. “Maybe?” respond to Reine, as if in doubt.

Indeed, Marc was the one loved by Reine. However, after incident after incident, Gray always haunts Reine's dreams. Everyone, it's going as if it's real.

In the dream, Reine was unable to tell the difference. Which is just a sleeping flower or indeed he has experienced the same situation. Strange dreams about hunting down demons, like suppressing his memory. Not to mention every incident that Reine dreamed of, there was always Gray's presence there.

When Gray is invisible or sometimes disappears, Reine seems to be forgetting something. Or feel like, missing something. After that, the dream that felt like a nostalgic story began to spin in his brain throughout the night.

Luc took down all the Underwall guards in one strike. Marc's guess, it always happens. And for that reason, Robin would literally knock out Luc for a moment.

But before that, Robin must first cripple the soldiers of the black magician. Unlike in the cave, Robin's strength suddenly multiplied when he was in Underwall. In fact, even 100 soldiers, he could handle alone. Although the strength of a mixed blood demon, it was usually too weak than the strength of a pure demon.

Marc stepped towards the portal of the demon and ordinary human worlds. Behind him, Reine was also on standby with all the situations that would occur. When the black mage army attacked, Marc immediately recalled something.

Message from Gray.

“What will you do in the portal aisle?” ask Reine. “Maximilien told me, to send signal” explained Marc. Reine looked to frown. “Signal?” ask again.

The portal was in sight. That place too, became the last position Gray disappeared. Marc stared at the portal with a serious look.

After counting a few seconds, Marc immediately threw a stone from his hand. I don't know when the stone was in Marc's hands. In fact, even Reine did not know about the origin of the stone.

However, Reine did see Marc always clasping his hands tightly, before the army of black magicians attacked. When the stone was thrown into the portal, nothing happened. The portal looks transparent, as always.

“What.... will happen after this?” reine asked breaking the silence. “I didn't ask. Max just told me to do it. I've gone crazy, believing in a madman like him!” response Marc who was suddenly upset, due to the ridiculousness he did. Reine also did not understand the meaning of Gray. But instead, he realized something else.

“Why did he tell you to signal through the portal? Will humans know the signal? They can't possibly help us, right? They are just ordinary people. But something suddenly disturbed me. Max told you to signal, as if he were somewhere else. As if he were in that place. A place where ordinary people are. Hasn't that been enough to answer, where did he go?”
