Gita walked slowly up one by one the stairs of the flats that are currently the place to stay. Every time he comes home from work, he's like a car running out of gas. It feels heavy to walk. Already exhausted in the office, still had to struggle up the stairs of the flats to the third floor.
"Assalamu'alaikum!" he closed the door he just opened.
"Wa'alaikum greetings" replied Ririn, a good friend of the Gita. Ririn was washing dishes turning her gaze towards the newly arrived Gita. "Why else, Git?" ask Ririn.
"Rubber!" his weakness. He lay down on the sofa while taking a deep breath.
"Every day we are tired. It's called work, tired of it, Git!" Ririn stopped the activity of washing dishes. He walked up to Gita.
"Your husband is a cruise, Rin. Why stay in a house like this. Where to stay on the third floor, no elevator anyway. It's like hell."
"Ee .. basic no thanks! It is fortunate to be allowed to stay using insult anyway. I'm getting rid of your taste!" threaten Ririn's.
"Oh, having a friend is also very evil to throw me out. What a shame is my fate." Gita put on a hardened face and was persecuted.
"Go back to your house!"
"Where do I have a home, Rin .. I'm a bum." Gita remembers what her boss said last afternoon. He's a bum who doesn't have anything.
"Here you go, just go home. What would your stepmother do if you still wanted to live there? That's your house, too." Ririn has known Gita for a long time. They have been friends since High School. What happened to Gita, she already knew.
"I've been told to leave, Rin. If I stay there, I'll go crazy. Let him get what he wants. After all his main purpose was to marry my papa also because of money." Gita reimagines her stepmother's face. Maybe he wasn't physically hurt, but mentally, his stepmother really hurt him.
Gita had been given a dextro cough medicine that was secretly included in her drink for months until she almost went crazy. He almost killed his stepmother because it was beyond his consciousness. That was the reason for expelling Gita from her home.
Gita chooses to leave the house on the advice of her maid named Bi Tanti. The loyal servant who had followed her since childhood told Gita to stop drinking healthy drinks given by her stepmother.
He discovers a strange package of drugs that his stepmother accidentally drops after making drinks for Gita. When Gita checked the drug to the hospital, she was very surprised because it turned out to be a cough medicine dog.
Gita checked herself into a doctor. Fortunately, his nerves had not been damaged. He had to undergo a series of treatments to neutralize the drugs that had already entered his body. From then on Gita lived her own life outside the home.
Gita finished her studies well. Initially he took care of small projects owned by his friend before finally being accepted into a fairly well-known company. For several years working in a well-known company, he earned a fairly high salary until he was able to buy an apartment that was quite good.
Gita thought her life would be fine, especially if she had a lover who loved her very much. They fought each other hard and saved up with the aim of getting married one day.
Dreams are not always realized. In the end Gita had to part with her lover due to an affair. Not enough to get there, all the savings and apartments he earned with difficulty must be lost. The job is also gone. The Gita returns to zero.
"What I said first, you're too in love with Jimmy it ends up being like this."
"Yes, Rin. I'm sorry I didn't listen to your old words." While still close to Jimmy, Ririn said the man likes to spread charm and have high ambitions. He disagrees if Gita is dating Jimmy. It seems like it will be hard to follow Jimmy's thoughts. Finally proved. Not only cheating, but he also cheated on Gita.
"Yes, I take everything that happened to me as an expensive lesson to be more careful going forward."
"A very expensive lesson, Git. until you lose your tuition."
"Hahaha .. if my life includes college, I'll get a cumlaude bachelor degree easily fooled people."
"God! Goddamnit! You think I'm as good as that, what? I'm still alive, it's worth being grateful for." Gita considers relaxed the problems she faces.
"You're weird, Git! It could not be sad or depressed to face such a big problem." Ririn was always dumbfounded by the stubbornness of her friend.
"I've been crazy, Rin, for taking dog medicine. Time I have to go crazy again just because of this. Treasure can be sought again. It's more terrible to lose your mind than to lose your treasure."
"Yes, you have a point too." Ririn said Gita.
"When did you move, Rin? How comfortable to live here?" Gita again complains about the condition of Ririn's house.
"My husband's only been working three years on a cruise, Git. Should I buy a new home? After dong there will be nothing saved. I have to skimp."
"It can tremor every day my legs go up and down the stairs constantly."
"Tomorrow don't walk." Ririn threw a pillow at Gita's face.
"Hahaha ... kidding, Git! It is emotion. I'm also very grateful that you've put me here. Thank you, Bestie." Gita hugged Ririn's arm and leaned her head on Ririn's shoulder spoiled.
"No need to thank you, Git. You've been considered like a brother."
"Uuhh .. glad .. I feel like I have a family." Gita was happy with Ririn's words. Their relationship was very close even as a sibling.
"What about your job, Git? If you are tired, stop. Try to find another job that doesn't require too much physical work."
"It's okay, Rin. That was also for a while. If I get a call from another company, I'll leave that job."
"Oh, yes. I want to tell you about the president of my company."
Ririb was immediately enthusiastic to listen to Gita's story. Gita once told me that the handsome man she had met at a nightclub turned out to be the president director at the company where Gita worked. Even more crazy, Gita once invited her boss to sleep with her. He thought Gita would be fired that day.
As it turns out, the Gita can still survive in the company despite daily complaining.
"Last noon he gave a meal coupon in the cafeteria for 2 weeks" said Gita while showing the coupon he had.
"Well, royal's her, too, huh? Does that mean his anger at you is gone?"
"I don't know. Although he's pretty annoying, but I think he's got a good side too."
