THE REVERSE POSITION

Ruby's still in Melvin's office. This day he paced back and forth into the room filling the pugnacity of the new CEO in his office. There's a reason he made it so he could get in there.

Ruby became pitiful whenever she saw Tomi standing in front of the entrance when she came. He's a secretary whose role is like a security guard. Melvin was too late to use his position to act arbitrarily against his subordinates.

"Why is your appearance still neat? You're not sweating?" that's the question that came out of Tomi's mouth when Ruby walked out of Melvin's room.

"In the way we play basketball, we sweat? You're weird!" ruby murmured in response to Tomi's question.

When the break came, Ruby was called back. He had lunch together in Melvin's room. Tomi is told to buy food for both of them. He feels like a secretary and a versatile servant.

"Is there anything important that happened while I was away?" melvin asked as he gulped down a can of cold drink.

Ruby was silent for a moment. "Can't you ask something like that first? I don't want to make you feel bad on the first day of work?"

Melvin's getting curious. When Ruby said that, it meant that something serious happened.

"Say .. I want to hear it" he said.

"No, let's talk about something else first." Ruby tried to divert the conversation. "First, why did you come home and enter this company without telling me first? Then, what's going on there until you have to come back here before your time?"

Melvin smiled broadly hearing such a long question from him. "The answer is only one, anyway. I've got a beautiful GM here, so I'm in a hurry to get home."

Ruby patted her forehead.

"I'm serious ..." continued Melvin.

"You've been working hard for the last few years, brother. When it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, why leave it behind?" Ruby feels weak. He put his head on the couch. Ruby knew very well, how difficult it was to try to start daei downstairs. He arrived at his current position only requires high dedication to the work until trusted to hold a higher position.

Melvin stroked the soft side of her cheek, "What's wrong? I don't think this company is too bad either."

"That's because you haven't seen it in person. I think you'll regret it after a while here." Ruby spoke with a serious look in her eyes.

Melvin could only smile. The woman was just her clothes and appearance that looked mature, but her behavior was still like a junior in her college. For a moment he missed his youth.

"It looks like I don't have to worry about having a beautiful and reliable GM." she said.

"I'm serious, Brother .." said Ruby.

Melvin returned his gaze. "I'm serious too."

"Yes, I'm going out first. The break is almost over."

Ruby was just about to stand up, but was pulled back by Melvin. He was told to sit there.

"People will wonder if I'm in your room all day."

"They will understand, there is a new boss who is asking a lot of questions to his GM." objected Melvin.

"Your secretary's love is still outside."

"Let it go, he's paid for it." Melvin pulls Ruby into his arms. "I still want to be like this. My goal is to have a morning meeting so I can stay longer with you."

"It's so nice to have a girlfriend in the office. Especially if we're married, the room over there seems to be falling apart every day." Melvin's mind began to travel imagining things that were not.

"I'm going to marry Ardi's sister."

Ruby's words made her delusion instantly crumble. He let go of his embrace and stared intently at the woman before him. "Ruby .... " His tongue feels stiff to speak. He hastened his affairs for her sake, but ....

"Aunte Sukma's condition is getting worse. Ardi's family requested to expedite her wedding plans. My father wanted it that way too."

"I know this is bad news to hear, but I think you should still hear it directly from me. The office guys already know that I'm getting married soon."

"Can Brother accept this kind of situation?"

Melvin laughs. "Why do I feel like you're replying to me?"

He remembered the past. The situation now turned around, he was in the position of the previous Ruby. It should be very upsetting, but he just wants to laugh at his situation.

Ruby smiled. "At least my papa didn't come to you and gave me a suitcase of money to leave me." Ruby said.

Melvin was interested to hear it. "Did my dad ever do that?"

"Your mother once offered me a few hundred million dollars. But after finding out who my father was, he apologized immediately."

Melvin chuckles. "My mother must be very embarrassed." he murmured. "I've felt that way too."

He is ashamed to remember the past. He used to try to make Ruby as his mistress. "Is it my turn to be your mistress?" tanyakanya.

"It looks like I won't be able to afford the CEO's life to be a stash of employees like me." Ruby answered while laughing.

"You take it easy, I'm an independent savings type, don't need to be given a credit card, but I'll give that thing to you." Melvin took out a black card and showed it to Ruby.

"Oho! Just this time there's someone begging to be made a mistress."

"But this card is still I take, yes!" Ruby snatched the card from Melvin's hand. "Rather than you give it to just any woman, I'd better keep it."

"Yes, wear it as you please. I got it for you." Melvin rubs Ruby's head. "Let's buy better clothes, don't open models like this." Melvin again criticized Ruby's skirt which he thought was too short.

Drrtt .. drrtt .. drrtt ....

"Wait a minute!"

Ruby asked permission to take the phone from inside her bag. It turns out that there is an Ardi number plastered on the screen of his phone.

"Who?" ask Melvin.

"This is Ardi" he said, picking up the phone. "Hello, Brother?"

"You're still in the office?" tanyakanya.

Ruby was silent for a moment. He massaged his forehead because he forgot today there was an appointment with Ardi and Aunt Sukma.

"Ah, yes, Brother. I'm still in the office. Sorry, I forgot because there was a lot of work today." he glanced sideways. The man next to him was also glancing sharply at him.

"Then I'll pick it up now, yeah. Mama's been waiting a long time."

"Yes, Brother. I'm sorry again." Ruby felt guilty especially to Aunt Sukma because of the sudden arrival of Melvin, he forgot them.

"You get ready, I'll be there in 15 minutes."

Ruby hung up the phone. He breathed for a moment.

"What are you talking about?" melvin's face looked sour.

"Today I have an appointment to meet Aunt Sukma."
