PRETEND POOR

PRETEND POOR
LAST MEETING

"Mom Ana, can we talk to you for a second?"

Meka met Ms. Ana, one of the nannies at the daycare where she used to leave Davin. That morning, he deliberately took Davin there early in the morning to be able to talk to the person in charge of looking after Davin.

"Please come in, we'll talk inside." Ms. Ana invited Meka into her room. "What's it gonna take until Davin's mom gets here early?"

"I want to ask for help" said Meka. He pulled out his phone while showing a photo of Ferdian in his gallery. "He's Davin's father, but our relationship isn't very good. If he comes here to see Davin, please arrest him and call me. Don't let him go get Davin. If necessary, Ana's mother just hide Davin until I come."

Although it is not necessarily the case, Meka has put up a vigilant attitude after last night Ferdian suddenly came to his house. There was no way the man had come if there was no particular intent.

Last night the man's attitude was so good. He accompanied Davin to play while he finished the work of wrapping doughnuts that he brought today to his friends. In fact, Ferdian waited until Davin fell asleep and he wanted to go home.

Ferdian said that at any time he would come back to visit. I think Meka wants to laugh. After so many years of being thrown away, now he cares about his life. He was afraid that Ferdian would take Davin away from him.

"Good, Mom. I will" replied Ms. Ana.

"Then I want to go to work. Please take good care of Davin."

Ms. Ana nodded.

Meka kisses and hugs Davin. "Darling, my mom left for work first, yeah .. so good and smart kid with the teacher's mom."

"Yes, Ma."

After saying goodbye to Davin, Meka leaves with Ms. Ana. The obstacle is a large bag of parcels that he will later give to his friends.

Despite being worried about Davin, Meka had no choice but to keep him there. As a single parent, she had to work hard to raise him alone.

Davin never asked to be born into the world. But it was Meka who decided to have a child. He has to take responsibility for what his choice is.

Ardi was waiting for Ruby in the lobby area. This afternoon, she wants to pick up Ruby and take her to the hospital to meet her mother. Sukma has asked Ardi to take Ruby with him.

"The ardi?" greet Meka when she just got off was about to go to the cafe in front of the office.

Ardi looked towards the direction the voice came from. "Oh, Meka. Where you going?"

Meka walked closer to Ardi. "You buy drinks up front. You're waiting for Ruby, aren't you?"

Ardi nodded.

"Have you contacted him? Or should I call him?" Meka offered help.

"No, he said he'll be down in a minute."

"What about Aunt Sukma's condition?"

"My mom is dead."

"Thank God, I'm glad to hear that. I'm sorry, I haven't been able to see Aunt Sukma again."

"Yes, it's okay."

"Ah, this is my own cake. Take her to the hospital for you and Ruby." Meka handed me a bag of donuts she made last night. His intention earlier he would give to the waiter in the front cafe because the innate advantages after being distributed to his friend.

"Thank you." Ardi received Meka's gift.

"Then I go first" he said.

Ardi nodded. He watched Meka's back walk away from him.

The voice that came then distracted Ardi. He smiled seeing Ruby was already there, still wearing a neat work suit. His present skirt was a long one below the knee, unlike before. Despite that, she still looks beautiful as an office lady.

"No, I just got there" he said. He waited for about 15 minutes there.

"Then we go now, yes!" bring Ruby.

Ardi got up from his seat, holding Ruby's hand with him. They walked towards the front parking area where Ardi parked his car.

"Auntie Sukma what to bring, about?" Ruby put a seat belt on her body.

"Looks like my mama doesn't want anything else but you."

Ruby laughed a little.

"When you first realize, your name is first asked. I was so envious to hear it. It's like you're his real son, not me."

"Hahaha .. I am very happy to be looking for Aunt Sukma again. Glad to hear it's all over." Ruby was worried about her condition. "So, what do we buy for aunty?"

Ardi looked at ruby with a smile, "No, I just have to take you."

The car drove at a moderate speed through the capital's congested streets that afternoon. Many traffic lights that they must be patient to pass because of congestion. After about half an hour, they finally arrived at the hospital.

"I'm not happy to come empty-handed" Ruby said.

"Have it, I said it's okay to not be the important problem you came."

They walked through the hospital corridor of the top floor area of the VVIP class. Before arriving at the treatment room Aunt Sukma, they were surprised to see the atmosphere that looked rowdy from the treatment room Aunt Sukma.

A few nurses seemed to be running out and into the room. Ardi and Ruby looked at each other. They were worried, something happened inside.

Without a second thought, Ardi and Ruby immediately ran to the treatment room of Aunt Sukma.

Arriving inside, Ardi's worry grew bigger. There are already a lot of people there. His father was there to cover his face with both palms. Meanwhile, doctors and nurses gathered to take care of her mother.

Moments later, the doctor stopped his efforts. His cheap face showed sadness. With a headband that he aimed at his father, making his father immediately restrained and cry as it happened.

The nurses started removing the medical equipment attached to her mother's body. Ardi's body seemed to tremble, slowly he stepped his legs hesitantly approaching his mother. The sound of his father's crying made his heart crumble.

"Son Ardi, I'm sorry. Sukma's mother has died."

The doctor's words brought down her hardness. Tears running down her cheeks looked at her mother's extremely pale face with her eyes closed.

"Ma ... Mama ... Mama .... " Ardi hugged his mother's body tightly. His cry broke, his voice billowing throughout the room. The sadness he felt could not be described with words. The woman he loved and respected had now left him for all eternity.

"Ma, get up .. I brought Ruby here .. she said she wanted to meet him... Ardi please .... " Ardi was still trying to speak with a vibrating tone of voice.

Behind her, Ruby was also sobbing. He did not expect that today would be the last day of their meeting.

When Ardi told him that Aunt Sukma had realized, Ruby also felt happy. So he finished his work as soon as possible because Ardi would pick him up to meet Aunt Sukma. He was happy that Aunt Sukma wanted to see him again, meaning that he was not angry with the past events. But fate says something else. Aunt Sukma died before she apologized.
