Orang-orang to Aratha

Orang-orang to Aratha
Chapters. 30 - Rain Welcomes Light

Today Sonya and Aretha promised to go to the city library. Sonya wears a long-sleeved brown tunic. Her hair was ponytailed in half a horse and there was a bit of make up that beautified her face. Even though he's not very good at using it.

Aratha, you definitely won't believe it. In a few days, I'll take the college entrance exam.

I've been so excited lately. My father promised to go home if I managed to become the best graduate of the year.

I fought hard until the end, Mr. Zaki said that I was the best graduate of the year. I'm ranked first out of hundreds of people of our generation. I'm getting more and more happy, because tomorrow, Dad's coming home and I'm going to read a speech in front of all my friends. I've made sure you'll come to the farewell that'll be held in two days. So, I'm not gonna be alone anymore.

Thank you for bringing my world to life.

The sound of the car horn was heard from outside his house. Quickly, Sonya immediately cleaned her desk from the makeup tools that were still scattered. Then after that, he quickly stepped down the stairs. Not forgetting, he locked the door when he got outside and saw a black car parked there.

”We are no longer dating, right?” Aretha opened her car door and showed herself there. The red t-shirt covered in a parka jacket is the type often worn by Aratha. However, I don't know why Aretha now looks like the usual Aratha.

”Wow? I almost thought you weren't Aretha. Your appearance is very different today. Your mood is happy, huh?”

”I almost thought you were someone else too. You are much more beautiful than usual. Better to wear this than wear uniform.”

”Your praise is too much. To the extent that it feels like I want to nonjok you.” Sonya showed her big fist and was only greeted with a smile by Aretha who saw her.

”Come quickly, get in the car. I don't want your beauty to be seen with other guys.” Aretha opened her car door and let Sonya enter it. While Sonya just smiled blandly after that she stepped inside it.

...~o0o~...

”You why the hell? Suddenly take me with.” Fahruz drove his bike at moderate speed, crossing a not-so-busy highway.

”How else do you want? You want to be the third person between Sonya and Aretha? I also do not have to make it there.” ketus Dea who hesitates to hold on to the waist and stomach Fahruz.

”Well, I also didn't know that the two of them would be this close. Maybe some of Sonya still hasn't let Aratha go. In addition, Aretha really similar to Aratha. Definitely, it is very difficult for him to let go if there is someone in common.”

Dea chose to remain silent while distracting her. When he was caught off guard against the circumstances around him, suddenly Fahruz's motor stopped suddenly and almost made Dea fall to the side. Luckily, Fahruz reflexively held him back at once despite using only one hand.

”You should have the right handle. Earlier, there was a madman who crossed recklessly.”

Fahruz further fascinated Dea. His cold gaze as he looked forward was something that made Dea be amazed at him. Despite the slight hesitation in his heart, Dea tried to steady him to hold on tightly to Fahruz.

Sorry Sonya. I took Fahruz from you. He really fascinated me.

...~o0o~...

For 30 minutes driving the car, they finally arrived at the library. When Sonya and Aretha had just finished parking their car, they were immediately greeted with the arrival of Fahruz and Dea who had been standing here since.

”You guys are old! Why just?!” ketus Fahruz, looking at Aretha full of suspicion.

”You seem suspicious of me. I did not do anything other than pick him up at home. After all, you've been with Dea since, right?” aretha replied, staring coldly at Fahruz.

”Ouch! Come here even fight! Quickly log in before many visitors!” sonya pulls Dea and walks into the library without caring about the whereabouts of these two guys.

Not long ago, Dea was able to recognize Sonya well and be close to her. It turns out Sonya was a pretty good person and always helped. He's fun too. Dea was finally able to understand why at that time Alrez was so defending it.

While in the library, it feels like being in the paradise of book lovers. There are hundreds of shelves that can accommodate thousands of book titles. Even novels about romance are included.

The room was filled with the smell of a new book and the smell of coffee from the beverage machine. The chairs and tables are always filled with people who focus on learning something or just reading a book as entertainment.

”Where are you going first?” sonya asked Dea next to her.

”I'll go straight to the second floor. There's a history book I want to learn.”

”OK. You go with Fahruz, yeah. Don't part with him.” Sonya immediately ran to the rear, approaching Fahruz and Aretha who had just entered. ”... Fahruz! I'm picking Dea! Take good care of him!” With one quick move, Sonya immediately pulled Aretha's hand and took her running down the first floor.

”Okay, Sonya. She doesn't want me to be around her anymore?” murmured Fahruz while scratching his back head. After that, he slowly walked over to Dea who was waiting for him.

...~o0o~...

”I see, I think you are very interested in things that smell of science especially about living things.”

”Is that such an amazing thing for you? When I grow up, I want to be a doctor. I want to heal everyone with the knowledge I have.”

”It looks like it suits you. You're the one with the heart.” Aretha stopped to catch her breath. ”By the way, you've been making a speech for farewell?”

”Oh, so that's what gets you excited? It is only fitting that you stay here often to learn.”

Sonya chuckles a little. ”Yes, I missed Dad a long time ago. He hasn't been home in a long time. I'm quite lonely at home.”

Aretha only nodded a few times after that silence ensued. Aretha was busy looking at Sonya who was sitting in front of her. Sonya's face reading the book and copying it on an ordinary book looked more dazzling than looking at it from the front. His black eyelashes looked long moreover, as his front hair fell down and covered his forehead. She smiled to herself even though Sonya was unaware of it.

Feeling something strange, Sonya looked back at Aretha because since then, she felt Aretha was just silent in front of her. ”You didn't do anything? No book you want to read now?”

Aretha seemed surprised by Sonya's words. Aretha looks panicked, afraid Sonya realizes that she keeps paying attention to her. Then he quickly pushed his chair back and stood looking at her.

”I'd like to grab a drink first. You must be thirsty. I stay a while.” Aretha immediately walked away leaving Sonya.

Not much did Sonya. He only blinked a few times, staring at the wonder of the new nature and hobbies that Aretha had now.

...~o0o~...

It feels very tense when stared at by someone he likes. It felt like he was suspected of a crime. He only saw her for a moment. Was that a big mistake?

As it passed by, Aretha was glued to a much smaller shelf than the others. The shelf contained only magazines and newspapers. However, it was not his shelf that made his steps stop. But the face of a family murder perpetrator who is being sought by the police until now and he is known to be in this region.

Can a human do this terrible thing?

No one dared to unless his heart was already shut by the darkness of his night.

Aretha had a bad premonition that was not sure to happen yet, inviting anxiety. He turned around and ran towards where he came from. Deep down, there was a fear of losing someone he loved. And this fear is the last spice of his love for Sonya.

Sonya was not in her place.

Aretha was panicking. He searches for Sonya everywhere, no matter what people think of her as a bully. Right at the shelf section containing the teen novel, Aretha was standing at the end there. He saw the figure of a girl standing in the middle while opening up some books that he thought were interesting.

It was Sonya.

His mind could finally be a little relieved after seeing Sonya was fine. However, there was something strange about a man wearing a black jacket with his hood, walking up to him Sonya.

This meeting was just a coincidence. The real feeling has not happened. His heart was racing again and his entire skin was suddenly goosebumps.

”Sonya! Get out of there!” unknowingly, Aretha shouted as she ran towards Sonya who had just realized her existence.

Time does not seem to be on either side at all. As Aretha was running towards her, the man in a jacket near Sonya immediately stuck a knife, landing on his stomach. The brown tunic that became his clothes, was instantly adorned with bloodstains of his own. Sonya was so shocked by the excruciating pain that came to her all of a sudden. Until he can't make his voice.

...~o0o~...

Aretha never expected, the knife would be removed from Sonya's stomach to make her blood flow out. Sonya leaned against the bookshelf and slowly, she dropped her entire body on the floor. Aretha who was already upset, immediately took a throw a wooden ruler big enough to finally land on the head of the criminal until it made him fall and faint.

Seeing the villain being rendered helpless by her, Aretha immediately approached Sonya who looked in great pain. He took off his jacket and tied it to Sonya's stomach to stop her blood from coming out.

”Sonya, relax. You'll be fine. I'm here.” Aretha looked anxious and panicked, trying to calm Sonya who could not help her pain.

Right after that, the rain greeted the cloudless sun. Sonya could no longer feel her own breath. The pain in him not only happened to his stomach but his chest that felt burned as if it was hit by a hot iron.

”Stop, Aretha. Stopit! It hurts.” Sonya tried hard to say her sentence in the middle of her half-breath. He didn't do anything and just lay under the bookshelf. Everyone who heard the commotion there, immediately swarmed over to see what was happening.

”You can survive. Ambulances are coming soon.” Aretha tried to comfort Sonya who seemed depressed because she felt her life would end here.

”Aretha, you've been wrong about me all along. Thank you, because of you I can do better. Thank you for trying.” Sonya tried to touch Aretha's face with the rest of her energy while smiling as if saying she would be fine. However, just five seconds later, Sonya immediately dropped her hand like she was helpless.

Aretha was in complete disbelief, looking at the two eyes of Sonya that were instantly closed at that very instant. The blood that came out until it pierced through his jacket, slowly became cold. Silent. Like having no life. Aretha tried to convince that at this time, Sonya just fainted because she could not bear the pain.

”Sonya, please open your eyes. Only once. You'll be cured soon. So please open your eyes. You said your dad's coming home tomorrow, right? You should also make a speech in front of your friends. So, open. Please.”

Aretha dropped her tears and grieved a second time after she heard that Aratha was gone. He was very sorry because he had left Sonya alone.

One of the visitors who has a profession as a midwife, tries to check Sonya's consciousness and heart rate currently using her stethoscope. However, after checking it out, he showed an expression of worry. Afraid to tell the truth.

For a moment, he exhaled, trying to say it in a fine way, ”Sorry, this girl, she did not survive.”
