Aratha stood in front of an ever-closed room. Even though he was in his own house. However, she was dressed neatly by carrying a bouquet of pink roses in her hand. He was afraid to knock on the door. But there is no one in it. He tried to open the door slowly, as if there was someone sleeping inside.
He saw a bed that was still very neat with fine blue sheets. A large bookcase was leaning against the wall, not far from the bed. The scent of lavender flowers began to smell even though the door was only opened slightly.
Her steps look shaky. It's not dark, but Aratha looks scared when she gets into it. Carefully, Aratha put her flowers on the bed and looked at her for a while.
”I hope Mom is okay there. It seems that heaven is so taking the attention of Mother. It's okay because it's all worth it for Mom.” Aratha sounded so tense as she said it even though she was trying to calm down.
Aratha pulled out a chair and sat there. Curtain curtains were deliberately closed because the night still drowned the Tangerang region. Silence feels so soothing. Aratha looked at the photo of herself and her little brother together with her mother playing on a swing. The photo was posted on the wall by his mother. Not knowing what the exact reason was, Aratha immediately thought that her mother was looking at her from a distance there.
”Mother, I unknowingly brought love into my life. It felt like an uninvited guest who came just to ask for a meal. But the guest brought happiness with him. At the moment I am a little disappointed that love is in the doorway. To be exact, someone else was already waiting for him out there. My hand moved itself to pull him back into my house. Slowly, my heart makes a rope that is easily brittle when in a storm. But he, turned that rope into a rainbow. I'm thrilled. His character always reminds me of my mother. I finally realized, why at that time Mom was willing to do anything for me.”
”... The rainbow will soon be gone. No more ties after this. I need rain and sun to make rainbows. Ah, it feels so stupid. People like myself who are often hit by storms, it is impossible to have their own sun.”
”What are you doing there?!” the man snapped, right in front of the door that was still open. His figure was very similar to Aratha especially the way he was looking at her from outside the room.
”Aretha, when do you come home?” Aratha immediately glanced towards Aretha, her twin sister who had just returned from Makassar. Aretha went with Aunt Anieq because of Aretha's own compelling request. Aretha left her home, a month after their mother's death.
”You're so brazen!” Aretha immediately punched Aratha in the face until she slammed into the bedside and left a reddened mark on her left cheek.
”... Under these circumstances, you still dare to meet Mother?! Just so you know, Mom died having to save you! Why were you just crying and not doing anything for her?! Basic useless! Shitty!”
Needless to say even this, Aratha could already understand. Unknowingly, Aratha always wanted to be spoiled by her mother while Aretha chose to be with her father even though her father was always busy. If Aratha had not forced her mother to come visit her Aunt's house with her, would she not have encouraged her and chose to save herself when the accident occurred?
”Whispering! I also know it.” Aratha looked cold as usual while looking at Aretha.
Aretha felt challenged. Instantly his face became irritated. Aratha pushed her chair so that she could stare clearly at Aretha in front of her face. ”When it's done, I want to go. Set up your own messy suitcase.”
Aratha walked past Aretha just like that. But Aretha did not allow it. Aretha kicked the boy's back until it nearly fell and slammed forward.
Aratha could barely feel anything. The back that was just kicked by Aretha and the face that had previously been tortured, all of that left a blue mark that was very sick if touched just a little. His face looked tired and he tried not to say anything.
”Yes Pardon, Aretha! What are you?” Aunt Anieq who had just arrived looked extremely anxious. He immediately walked over to Aratha and his gaze was fixed on the bruises on her face. ”... Ouch, Aretha. He's your own brother. Why did you hit him?”
”Aunt why do you care about him?! Anyway because of her illness, Auntie must follow pay for her treatment!” ketus Aretha was furious.
”But you don't have to do this to your own brother. Poor him.” Aunt Anieq tried to hug the unmoving Aratha.
”ARETHA!” shouted the father who had just arrived at the door. He put on an extremely angry expression at Aretha as soon as he saw Aratha's current state. She slammed her briefcase and glared at him ”... You've gone too far for Aretha! I'm sick of you admitting this again!”
”Wait, Dad! It's not Aretha's fault. My fault. Don't be mad at him.” said Aratha with distress.
”WHAT THE HELL! NO NEED TO BOTHER!” aretha shouted very angry at him. ”... I WANT TO HIT HIM AS AN APPLICANT! WHY EMANGNYA?! NOW YOU'RE ANGRY? PENGIN DUMPED ME?!”
”ARETHA! ENOUGH!” Dad directly slapped Aretha in the face when she arrived in front of him. His voice sounded so loud that it shocked Aratha and Aunt Anieq.
”Dad! Stopit! Don't be mad at Aretha! This is Mom's room! She must have been so sad to see him!” Aratha tries to walk over to Father and Aretha but is held captive by Aunt Anieq.
Father stared at that moment, looking at Aretha who was holding her cheek. Aretha looked annoyed as she looked at her father's face. He is also upset that Aratha pretends to be a hero to him.
”I don't like you guys! Just hate! No one loves me the same! So I'm just going!” aretha quickly pushed her father away and ran away from her home.
Aratha wanted to chase him. However, the pain in his body grew so much that he was no longer strong enough to walk. As a result, Aretha actually left her house and Aunt Anieq immediately moved away to look for her.
Dad grunts. With the childish nature that Aretha did. He walked over to Aratha and said, ”You rest. Forgive everyone who was here.” after that, he walked away leaving Mother's room that had already fallen apart.
