No Rose Without A Thorn's

No Rose Without A Thorn's
Flakes Hint

No one talks about Dizzas birthday party. Everyone felt that there was nothing strange, only Keira who, for reasons of not feeling well, locked herself in the room. He didn't even come to the office.

Ms. Lestari only thought her daughter was exhausted to the point of ignoring Keira who had not been out of the room for two days. Only Bara called repeatedly because he was abroad. Finally it was Mr. Kusuma who realized the strangeness of Keira that was rarely seen.

"Where's Keira?" after dinner with Lestari and Dizza.

"Sister doesn't seem to be feeling well, " replied Dizza.

"It looks like he's not going to the office either" said Mr. Kusuma again.

"He was in the room all day" Lestari replied.

"What's wrong with her?Is she okay?" ask Mr. Kusuma.

"Dad, lately I've been worrying too much about my sister" Dizza said.

Ms. Lestari looked at her husband in silence and then she left.

"I'll see it."

"Take him into the study." Mr. Kusuma gave the order before leaving Dizza alone to enjoy his dinner.

Lestari found Keira lying on her side without closing her eyes.

"Are you sick?" mrs Lestari began to worry.

Keira did not answer.

"Dad told you to meet him in the study. But if you're sick, I'll tell her, "Mrs Lestari is ready to leave Keira but Keira stands up.

"I'm doing fine. I'll see him."

Keira walked slowly.

Throughout his life, Keira always felt awkward talking to Mr. Kusuma. Both at home and in the office, he talks as little as possible. He cannot talk to the person who raised him and gave him many opportunities in the office. Keira always felt Mr. Kusuma was never really sincere.

"Are you sick?" asked Mr. Kusuma as Keira closed the door slowly.

"I'm fine, just a little unwell. I'm sorry I wasn't in the office today."

Master Iuma looked at Keira and told her to sit down.

"Have you ever met the CEO of Oshi Group?"

Keira tried to remember and shook her head.

"What's up, Dad? Isn't he one of the investors in Dad's new hotel development?"

Dad nagging. Keira did not participate in the construction of the Big Hotel, a five-star hotel that Kusuma will build. He never met for the hotel and never met his investors. He only occasionally reads reports during internal meetings.

"What's the matter Dad?" Keira asked when she saw Mr. Kusuma was agitated.

"His secretary insisted that the CEO wanted to see you before signing the agreement."

"Me?" ask Keira wonder.

"Are you sure you never met him?"

Keira shook her head and quickly replied.

"I'll see him, Dad, if that's what you want."

Mr. Kusuma nodded slowly then told Keira to leave, when Keira opened the door to come out, Mr. Kusuma called out to her.

"Keira, take care of yourself."

Keira glued and replied politely, "Thank you Dad."

Evan sipped his coffee and thought again. He saw a photograph of the past. Photos of her and Keira they took while skipping school. One of the items he saved when Kusuma's men sent him to an orphanage outside the city.

In the past, they only had a few months together, but in that short time they spent a lot of time together. Time that Evan thought was precious. They are two teenagers who are both lost and lonely.

Evan rarely meets his older brother who is forced to live abroad, while his mother is a busy woman immersed in her own world.

Similarly Keira, she lost her only sister who for some reason since her mother married Kusuma, had to hide Zea in an orphanage. While his mother, since marriage, became a busy woman taking care of many things.

Evan took another photo and compared it. Photo of herself with Tone. Evan compared Keira's face and Nada's. There is no resemblance between the two. Evan scrunched his forehead and remembered his past encounter with his uncle, Baskoro.

"We have to finish off the Kusuma family. He killed your mother and brother! He also caused me to be in prison for so many years!"

"That woman, that cunning woman took your mother's position and destroyed it!" the word Baskoro refers to Lestari.

"Uncle, is that woman really only having one daughter?" ask Evan carefully. Baskoro looked at Evan suspiciously.

"Do you know anything?"

Evan shook his head puzzledly, "Let's know.I just asked.

"If you find any other information, you should tell Uncle. Remember, the company from the beginning did not belong to Kusuma. He snatched it from me, made my brother his mistress, then banished you who already thought of him as a father!"

Evan held the cup in his hand.

"The truth is he's not my father" said Evan Lirih.

"He made you an heir. He only trusted that cunning woman too much!"

Baskoro left with a question mark in his heart.

Keira looked at an orphanage building. The building had changed completely from the last time he had been there, the day before the fire. He recalled the first time his mother left Zea in that place and took him to the big house of Kusuma.

Almost every day he could not eat because he thought of his sister, although his mother repeatedly said that Zea did not lack anything. Zea would eat the same food as him, Keira still did not feel calm.

Actually Keira was curious if Kusuma knew about his sister. They came from a remote village and had no family identity. I don't know what made her mother reluctant to have a family identity.

Keira initially thought it was because their real father was dead, but now Keira feels her mother is hiding a lot of things.

Keira looked at the woman before her doubtfully.

"I'm looking for the leader of this orphanage" Keira replied.

The woman looked at Keira with many questions in her heart.

He often met hesitant women in orphanages. Either because they want to leave children born without a father, want to adopt, or look for children who have been entrusted.

But he did not see Keira as a person who would leave children or intend to adopt.

"Is there anything you're looking for?" ask the woman again.

Keira's confused.

"I'm Sintia's mother, the current leader, is there anything I can help you with?" ask the woman again.

Finally Keira was in the living room of the orphanage. Keira looked around the room and found a photo of a woman. Keira looked at him a long time ago, remembering that the woman was the one her mother often met in this place.

Sintia's mother looked at Keira and then, putting down a cup of tea, she asked, "Do you know my mother?"

"Eh?" Keira turned away from the photo.

Sintia's mother smiled. "She's my mother. The orphanage before me."

"Can I see him?" ask Keira expectantly.

Sintia's mother smiled again, "She just died."

"Oh, sorry." Keira covered her surprise.

"Can I help you?" ask the woman again.

"Actually I want to know about the victims of the fire 13 years ago."

Mother Sintia's forehead is wrinkled. "We're keeping the victim's data, but what do you want to know."

"My sister was one of the dead, " said Keira slowly, hard to say. Sintia's mother was still waiting for Keira to speak.

"But now I doubt if my sister actually died?"

Sintia's mother looked in surprise, "Do you doubt my mother's testimony?"

Keira thought for a moment, "I'm sorry I didn't mean it that way. I just thought, maybe there was a mistake."

"Yes, I understand, that when someone we care about dies, we'll always think 'if there's a mistake' and then we hope that they don't really die."

Keira confirmed the words of Sintia's mother.

"Have you lived in this orphanage with your sister?" ask the woman again.

Keira shakes. "Mother brought my sister to this place."

Sintia's mother scrunched her forehead again.

"Mom don't feel weird, because I feel weird too. Why did my mother take me away and leave my sister in this place."

The woman seemed to think, she looked at Keira then shouted in surprise, "You .. are you Lestari's daughter?"

"Mom know my mother?" ask Keira.

The woman was silent for a moment. "Is your mother okay?" Does he know you're here? You ... did you go here without her knowledge?" The woman railed against Keira with questions that made Keira suspicious.

"Mom, please tell me, what do you know."

The woman looked at Keira pity then shook her head.

"nothing. Your mother brought your sister here and the accident happened. As you know, your sister was one of the victims. Since then your mother and we have had nothing to do. You better not come here again. Your sister's dead, forget her."

Keira increasingly does not believe the words of Sintia's mother.

"What are you hiding? Why can't I come here again?"

Sintia's mother fell silent.

"Why didn't you answer?

Why can't I come here?!" Keira shouted furiously.

"Because it's for your safety!"

Keira looked at the woman before him in disbelief. He could not understand why this woman in front of him also said all for his sake.

For your safety!

"What's wrong with my safety?"ask Keira in despair.

"I don't care about my safety! I just want my brother to survive. If time can be turned, I'd better be the one burning in this place!"

"Don't talk like that! Your mother did everything for both of you!"

"For us? For what?!" Keira demanded an explanation but the woman was reluctant to speak further. He stood up and opened the door, allowing Keira to leave.

"Please go home, there's nothing you can get here. Live well without thinking much of anything else."

Keira stood up and looked at the woman sharply.

"I wonder, did you guys decide to keep Zea here and not me?Or the mother who decides who lives and who she brings?"

The woman did not answer. Keira became angry.

"I'll find the answer myself!" Then he left.

"Don't hate your mother. He did everything he could to save his two daughters."

Keira paid no heed to the words she thought were nonsense, but the woman spoke again.

"Your sister is living happily."
