Cloudy clouds adorned the afternoon sky, from his study Keira could notice the water spots began to fall. After sighing heavily, the woman turned her gaze to the sheet of paper on her desk.
"Not coming home, son?" The voice of a man surprised Keira, his head raised for the sake of staring at the approaching Kusuma.
"Attime, again, Dad."
"Hmm, don't overtime, remember your health." Kusuma patted Keira on the shoulder.
The woman turned her head then smiled, a few seconds staring at her aging father's face. The man was still just as cold and cruel as her, but not to her. Since their relationship improved, Kusuma showed more attention to his daughter. Especially now that his only child is pregnant with his first grandchild.
"Dad get home, huh?"
"No, Dad. Later ...."
Brrtts. Keira's mobile phone vibrates displaying Evan's name.
"Evan is already ahead" Keira said with a smile. Hurry up, he tidied up his files and took the bag.
"Come on with Daddy coming down." Kusuma reflexes help Keira stand up because of worry even though Keira's stomach does not look enlarged at all.
"I'm okay, Dad." Keira smiled amusedly at receiving Kusuma's over-treatment.
But Kusuma didn't care, he kept Keira walking through a row of employees who looked amazed to see their superiors who were usually cold was now unusually warm to his daughter.
"Keira, shouldn't you take a day off?"
"Well, it's only been three months. I'm doing fine. Later ..."
"But I see you're often pale. Don't be tired, Keira. Your mother's worried too."
Keira stopped her steps and looked at Kusuma with a smile, "Dad's grandson must be fine. I promise."
Kusuma could only nod his head and then release his hand grip on Keira's arm which immediately said goodbye.
"I'm home first, Dad."
"Yes, be careful."
Keira then passes leaving her father standing looking at Evan down running with an umbrella to pick up Keira and herd her to the car. Slowly a smile broke out on Kusuma's lips as Keira waved along with Evan's horn.
**
"Is there anything to eat?" ask Evan while driving.
"Nothing. It's raining anyway."
"If there's anything you want, it's okay Kei, say it."
"No, I'm going to take a break." Keira yawned and closed her eyes. Evan looked at his wife and smiled. Keira's stomach touched while muttering.
"You're not fussy or your mom's great, son? It's been three months, but what, Mama, you never ask weird?"
Keira laughed even though she was still closed.
"Can you stop for a second?" ask Keira suddenly.
Evan immediately stopped his car and looked at Keira who was still closing her eyes.
"Why, Kei?"
Slowly Keira opened her eyes and looked at Evan until the man was confused.
"Why?" reset Evan.
"No idea, I think I miss you today?"
Evan glared at Keira's rare remark. He scratched his unscratchy head and then approached.
"You want to be hugged?" ask Evan.
"You're not like other fathers, Van. Take a hug, how come, put on some?"
"Yes usually, right, you don't like to be touched outside other than in the room." Evan blinked his eyes.
"Ralat yes, do not like it in front of people. You too, right?"
Evan chuckled, taking off his seatbelt and Keira and he approached to hug her.
"It's not comfortable if there's someone else. If only the two are free. Because every time you touch you can be dangerous, Kei. I can't bear to go on to the next scene."
Keira immediately laughed and tightened her arms, "Now danger, dong?" ask again.
Keira was silent, since she was pregnant, they did restrict intercourse because Evan did not want to endanger the health of his son and wife.
"Keira, but you're not sick, are you? You ..."
"I miss my room." Keira interrupted making Evan frown.
"Can't you go home today? Suddenly I miss Mom," Keira asked expectantly. He knew Evan had always been less comfortable living in his house because he still felt awkward being close to Kusuma.
Evan took off his embrace then looked into Keira's eyes and smiled, "May. Wanna catch?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Okay, we go back there." Evan rattles Keira's hair and starts the engine again, but Keira holds her hand.
"Why again?"
Keira just smiled and shook her head.
"Nothing. Just making sure you're still my husband."
"Key, are you sick?" evan asked suspiciously. During Keira's pregnancy, his wife rarely complained or made it difficult but it made Evan anxious for no reason. Sometimes she saw Keira vomiting and nausea but the woman never complained of pain. Not infrequently Evan caught his pale face asleep in any place but Keira insisted he was fine.
"No. I'm doing fine. Me and your son are safe, Van."
"Related?"
Keira nodded with certainty and because she did not want to argue, Evan chose to continue the journey to turn towards Kusuma's house.
**
Keira goes into the house first leaving Evan who is parking the car and checking the equipment in the trunk. The atmosphere of the house at that time was quiet, Keira guessed her father was still in the office. Slowly Keira walked down space by space to get to the living room. He was so slow he walked, his footsteps barely making a sound.
"How can he come back?!" lestari screams from a room.
Keira stopped to hear her mother's panicked voice, and then she changed to Dizza's voice.
"Mom, don't panic!"
"How can you not panic? That crazy guy could hurt your brother again!"
"Dad won't let that happen!"
"But your father is sometimes negligent! He didn't even know Keira was stuck in the Oshi drama! He even realized that someone was stalking Keira after a week had passed and now how could the stalker escape?"
"Mom, don't yell!"
But Lestari just screamed, "Then what if she finds out that Zea... I couldn't stand ... What if your father went back to venting on Zea?"
"No way, Mom. Dad has changed!"
"But Baskoro can't change! That demon was supposed to die, how could he wander around again? I'm afraid of Zea ...."
Keira's knee immediately felt limp. His heart raced quickly along with the cold sweat that poured down his forehead. Keira looks for help on the wall but Lestari's voice scares her even more.
"Baskoro devil!"
The shadow as the man pierced his stomach regained control of his brain. Then it changed with another tale of cruelty destroying his mother. As if it wasn't enough, Keira recalled the moment Hans stained her.
For more than a year, Keira managed to get rid of those bad memories. All this time he had been living happily without thinking about his past but today hearing that the depraved man had returned, Keira was instantly frightened.
Suddenly his stomach felt nauseous and his head felt dizzy. He tried to stand up, but his eyes grew blurred.
"Keira!" Evan arrives just in time as Keira is about to fall.
Quickly, the man propped up Keira whose face paled. Evan's screams made Lestari and Dizza leave the room immediately. The two panicked because they thought Keira must have heard their conversation.
"Sister?"
"Why did you suddenly come?" tanya Lestari was wrong.
Keira looked at her mother for a moment and then remembered Lestari's call that Baskoro was a demon, that someone was stalking her. Keira could not answer, the next few seconds she fell unconscious in Evan's arms.
"Keira!"
How can the devil rise up so quickly?
How could the world make it back so easily?
