(S2): Return of Joseph

Joseph was so happy to attend his cousin's wedding. At the moment, his wife is pregnant with his child. His happiness is becoming more complete.

" You are tired" Joseph said to his wife.

" I'm tired and want to go home soon."

" Well, let's go home now, but I'm going to the toilet first."

" Don't be long!"

" It won't be long."

Joseph kissed his wife's lips very fondly. " I'll be right back."

Joseph's bodyguards followed him from behind and kept their distance from the King. He overheard the voice of the person arguing and he recognized the voices. Joseph walked up to him and saw Michael and Lewis debating something. Joseph was about to leave, but when his name was mentioned, he did not go and decided to hear it.

"We must get rid of Joseph immediately so that his throne may fall on me."

Joseph who heard that was shocked. He had not expected his uncle whom he loved the most and believed to have malicious intentions towards him.

" Well, Queen Charlotte is pregnant. The throne will fall into the hands of their child" Lewis warned.

" You're right. We also need to get rid of the child after birth."

" What about Charlotte?"

" I'll marry her as my Queen."

" Then when are you going to get rid of Joseph" Lewis said impatiently.

" As soon as possible. Next week Joseph will be attending a royal event and I will have someone break his car so he will have an accident. Everyone will think Joseph died, by accident."

" A good idea. I like it."

" Let's toast Joseph's death!"

They both laughed. After hearing their conversation, Joseph immediately left and immediately went to see his wife.

" Dear, let's go home!"

" What's up? You look very anxious."

" I'll tell you when I get to the palace."

" All right."

The servants welcomed the arrival of their King and Queen. "Good night, Your Majesty!"shout them at the same time.

Joseph and Charlotte headed to their room. After changing their clothes they lay on the bed.

" What exactly happened? I noticed you were very worried."

" Our lives are in danger."

"What do you mean?"

" Michael wants to take the throne from me."

" What's?"the cry of not believing.

" I heard it myself."

" Over this time Uncle Michael was very kind to us and always attentive."

" He's just pretending to be nice to us. He also has the intention to get rid of our son."

Charlotte was protecting her stomach

" I won't let him hurt our son."

" You must protect her no matter what, because she is my successor, if anything happens to me."

" What are you talking about. Nothing will happen to you."

"Hopefully."

Joseph's face was already looking very tired thinking about his royal duties and now there was someone nearby who wanted to kill him. He rubbed both his hands on his face.

" What are you going to do now?"ask Charlotte.

" I'll behave as usual as if I never knew their evil plans. You should also behave as you normally would and pretend not to know."

"All right."

"Now sleep is late."

The next morning Joseph and Charlotte acted as usual and chatted casually with Michael and Lewis. The same goes for the next day and the following days. Finally the task of visiting the state arrived. Joseph was getting ready in his room with the help of some servants.

" You look so handsome" praised Charlotte.

" You look so beautiful today too."

" It's a pity I can't go with you, because of my pregnancy."

" You just take a break."

Joseph did not want Charlotte to come, because today Michael will try to kill him, but he already has his own plans. Charlotte escorted her husband to the front of the palace and Joseph lingered on his wife. There is a possibility that he may see his wife one last time.

" Be careful on the road! And come back soon."

" Take good care of yourself and remember my message last night."

Joseph hugged and kissed his wife before getting into the car that had been prepared for him, while Michael and Lewis had already left first. Unbeknownst to others, Joseph swapped his car for another. The car he was supposed to use was transported by a dread truck to be carried to the edge of the ravine. On the way, the car stopped.

" Your Majesty," said Dave.

" Thank you for helping me carry out my plan."

" It's for your safety."

Dave helps Joseph push a car whose brakes have been broken by Michael's men into the abyss, and the car burns. Joseph's plan worked out this way, he would be presumed dead, while the person in his car was the corpse of a man Dave had gotten from a hospital and no family would admit to it.

Joseph decided to hide until the time came when he would return. Actually he felt guilty to his wife and made her sad, because he pretended to die.

" In a moment the news of your accident will be broadcast. Where are you going to hide?"

" I don't know yet. I'll think it's important you take care of my wife."

" Why don't you tell him the truth?"

" I don't want to put Charlotte deep into danger again maybe once Michael finds out I'm dead, he won't hurt Charlotte anymore."

" What about your son? It's not that Michael wants to get rid of it either."

" You advised him to take my son away somewhere else."

"All right."

"See you soon!"

A few minutes later the news of the King's injury broke. Michael and Lewis are thrilled that their plan is working, while Charlotte hysterically hears her husband is dead, due to an accident.

Dave comes to comfort her, and she remembers Joseph's words to Charlotte.

"After your child is born, you better get him out of here right away, because Michael could have killed him."

Charlotte seems confused. She did not want to part with her son after she lost her husband.

" It's for the good of your son."

It is with a heavy heart that Charlotte agrees.

Joseph walked down the low hills and passed through the plantations of the inhabitants to find a hiding place where Michael and the people could not find him. He could have used his family's wealth to buy a house, but he didn't want to, because that would have left a trail.

Joseph fainted, exhausted. After he regained consciousness, he woke up in a very strange place.

" Where am I?"

" In my house" said a man." I found you in my farm."

" Thank you for helping me."

" My name is Alfred Hunter."

"My name's...."

"Grigor Farris's. That's your name, isn't it?"

"Huh."

Joseph was confused.

" I saw it on your identity card. I'm sorry I opened your bag. I didn't steal anything. I just want to see your identity card."

Joseph immediately saw his identity card and sure enough his name had changed to Grigor Farris. Dave has really prepared a new identity for me and even has a passport with his new name.

" It's good to see you, Alfred."

" I've prepared a meal for you you must be hungry."

Joseph immediately ate the meal provided by his new friend voraciously. After living in Alfred's house for several weeks, he went to America with Alfred and helped him take care of his estate.

" I actually know who you are. You are a King" he said suddenly to Joseph's surprise.

"Where do you know?"

" Even though I am American, all the inhabitants recognize the face of his King. As long as you stay with me, you don't go out once to dodge. Is there any news of the King's accident."

"Since the first time I met you."

"Why have you been quiet all this time?"

" Because you must have a good reason to hide."

" You're right. I had to do it even if I could leave my wife with someone who was going to kill me."

" Someone wants to kill you?"

"really. My own uncle."

"Your uncle is really evil."

"I beg you to keep who I am."

" Well, but how long are you going to keep hiding?"

" I don't know. I don't know."

" You can stay here until whenever you want."

Alfred left her alone.

"Who are you?"leonard asked to see Joseph sitting by the bed holding Charlotte's hand.

Joseph looked up and looked at Leonard and the woman beside him.

" Any pardon me."

Joseph stood up.

" I'm here to see Charlotte. My name is Joseph Coldwell."

Leonard and Raina widened their eyes in surprise.

"Joseph?"leonard couldn't believe it.

"Yes." Yeah."

"That's no way my mother's husband is dead."

"Mother?"joseph was surprised." You mean Charlotte's your mother?"

"true."

"So you are my son" he said with a happy face. Joseph hugged Leonard, but Leonard immediately let go of his father.

" My father died in an accident."

" no. I'm not dead yet. The accident was a lie. All this time I was pretending to be dead, because Michael was trying to kill me. I know that rotten plan."

" So you're really Joseph my mother's husband?"

" right. I have to say it a few times to make you believe."

" Sorry. I still don't believe."

" I understand."

Leonard's eyes glazed over, then hugged his father.

" Thank God you're alive. "

" I'm also glad you and your mother survived Michael's clutches."

" What's been going on with Dad all this time?"

Joseph told Leonard everything about his escape during this time.

" Why is Dad showing up now?"

" I'm sorry Dad. I think Charlotte's still suffering from a psychiatric disorder and is being treated at a mental hospital. I got that information from the TV broadcast. Since then I haven't heard from Charlotte anymore. Until finally there's news of Charlotte and you're kidnapped."

"Mom would love to see you again."

" Maybe your mother will also be angry, because I've been lying to her all this time."

Leonard then introduces Raina as his wife.

" Your wife is very beautiful. You're very lucky."

"Thank you."

The next morning Fabian and Miya are shocked by Joseph's appearance when they come to the hospital. Leonard told his father's story.

Fabian was a bit upset, because Joseph had left Charlotte in grief, even though he understood the reason, but still what Joseph did was like a cowardly man.

Leonard was in the room accompanied by Raina, while Fabian, Miya, and Joseph were outside the room. Charlotte's gentle groans made Leonard approach her mother and her eyeballs began to twitch. Slowly his eyes opened.

" Mom" call Leonard happy.

" Where is this? What's going on?"

" Mom's in the hospital now and I'm in an accident."

" Mom now remember."

" I'll call the doctor."

Leonard immediately exited the room looking for a doctor. He tells Fabian, Miya, and Joseph that Charlotte is conscious. They're coming in soon.

" Charlotte," call Joseph.

Charlotte looked confusedly at the foreign man before her.

" It's me, Joseph, your husband."

" no. This is impossible. You're dead."

When Joseph was about to explain it, the doctor came and told them to go out of the room. They wait for the doctor's examination with anxious hopes and after the doctor finishes checking on Charlotte, the doctor comes out and says Chatlotte has passed her critical period and will recover soon. They're very happy.

Joseph was left in the room alone to meet his wife.

" Are you really Joseph?"charlotte asked with great joy.

Joseph took Charlotte's hand. "really. I'm not dead yet. All this time I was pretending to be dead, because Michael was planning to kill me that day. I'm sorry I made you sad because I thought I was dead."

Joseph kissed his wife with teary eyes. His gaze became clouded, because of the tears that accumulate in both of his eyes.

Charlotte shed tears." I'm glad you're alive. I thought I'd lost you forever."

" I promise from now on I won't leave you again."

A few days later Charlotte was allowed to go home and stay at the Castalia mansion for a few days. After Charlotte was fully recovered, they decided to return to Luxembourg.

" So you're going back there?"ask Leonard.

" right. I have to go back to being King again and do my job again there."

" It looks like we'll have to split up again when we just met."

" You and your wife can stay with us at the palace. You are the next heir to the throne. "

" I'll stay here to take care of the Clemonte family estate they've inherited from me."

" all right. I won't force you to come with us. I'm gonna miss you so much."

" Mom will miss you too. Take good care of yourself and your wife."

" Of course."

" When you can come to Luxembourg. The palace doors will always be open for you" Joseph said.

Joseph and Charlotte hug Leonard and Raina in turn. Charlotte then approached Fabian and Miya.

" Thank you for all your help. "

" We're glad to be able to help you" Fabian said." Anyway I've considered you my own brother and the family should help each other."

Charlotte hugged Fabian, then hugged Miya.

" Thank you. "

"Before you guys leave, there's something I want to say to you guys" Raina said.

Everyone looked at Raina curiously." You'll soon have a grandchild."

They were shocked and their eyes did not blink at all.

" Is that true, baby?" ask Leonard.

" It's been 8 weeks."

Leonard immediately hugged his wife's body and twisted his body. Laughter is happy to be away from them.

Charlotte and Joseph congratulate Raina as well as Fabian and Miya.

" Mom and son are both pregnant now" Fabian said, stroking his wife's growing belly."

Once again they laughed with happiness and it was time for Joseph and Charlotte to leave.

" Bye bye!" Charlotte says.

The car that took them was lost to sight. Fabian hugged his wife happily. Now his life had been perfect and that was what Fabian was thinking back then, because without them realizing it, a big problem would have awaited them. [ ]
