43. Back to New York

Miya sat at the dressing table and looked at herself in the mirror. His face still looked pale and tired. He saw his ring finger still attached to the engagement ring from Fabian .Every time the thought of the man, Miya's heart was filled with pain, making her always shed tears. Although now his life is no longer meaningful without him, but his life still continues even though it still looks gloomy. Miya remains confident Fabian will return to her soon.

"Can I come in?''Miya is shocked to see Fabian's mother standing in the doorway. Whether since when the woman stood there with a gentle smile on her, Miya did not know, just a moment ago she had a deep throat in her mind.

"of course. Come inside!''

As usual the woman always looks very graceful when walking even though her body looks a bit thin and her eyes are a bit swollen, as she continues to cry for Fabian. Surely the heart of the woman was very sick to have to lose her only son. Since Fabian disappeared his parents have returned to live in the Castalia mansion and his father again took full power in his company. Roslie sat on the bedside and told Miya to sit next to her.

Miya was so comfortable when she was next to him that she considered her own mother. The woman's hand stroked her head gently while smiling at him.''You're a very nice woman. Fabian loves you so much. It is not wrong to choose a woman. If only he had not lost surely you have become husband and wife and maybe you have given me very sweet grandchildren.''Miya just smiled sadly hearing Rosalie's words.''Fabian will always be in my heart. I will never be able to forget her, said Miya.

"I knew. You love her so much. Thank you for loving her.'' Rosalie put her hand on top of Miya's hand, then clasped Miya's tiny hand.'' Now rest up ! You must be tired after a long day at work.''Miya nodded slowly. The girl saw Rosalie leaving her room with a sad face that was still clearly visible. The woman was so frail and weak. His sadness has made him look older. The bedroom door closed and re-created silence in her room. Only the sound of his breathing was heard. Miya then curled up on her bed. Her tears came back.

Blinda leaned her back against a tree in the garden . He looked at Fabian who was sitting on a park bench with a sad face after he told him about his true circumstances. Fabian was glad he met his cousin, as Blinda was able to help him free from Jeanette. Blinda felt ashamed and resigned, because she had accused him of betraying Miya.

"So what can I help you with?"ask Blinda.

"Ask someone to collect evidence of Jeanette's crimes, then call the police to arrest her."

"All right."

"thank you. I'm counting on you."

"No problem."

"How's Miya doing?"

"Over these four months Miya has been crying out for you. He still loves you, if you want to know"

Fabian's face became increasingly grim ."I've made her cry a lot."

"really so. You're just conscious now."

Blinda looked at Fabian. He believes Fabian still has something he doesn't want to say. Fabian stood up, took a deep breath, then said, I'd better go home . They must be waiting for me for dinner.''With heavy steps, Fabian left the park. Blinda frowned seeing her cousin look so sad and hurt and she was forced to let Fabian go even though there were still many things she wanted to talk about with her cousin.

At breakfast the next morning Fabian reluctantly walked into the dining room where Jeanette was arranging the table and Raina was sitting there. After he met Blinda yesterday, all this pretense is coming to an end. Jeanette smiled at him and told him to sit down immediately. During the breakfast Fabian was silent only Raina and Jeanette spoke. He had absolutely no desire to speak and his appetite was gone. Fabian just stirred up his food and it did not go unnoticed by Jeanette. Fabian accompanies Raina to play briefly in her room while Jeanette tidies up the rest of the breakfast in the kitchen. For a moment Fabian stared at his sweet face that still looked innocent. He will take Raina with him when he returns home to New York, because he loves his little daughter so much.

Two weeks after Fabian met Blinda, he met Jeanette in the living room after dropping off Raina at school.

"We need to talk."

"Take me off! Let me go back to my family."

"No. You can't leave here. Raina and I need you very much, Jeanette said with a clear face.

"I'll bring Raina along with me, but not with you.''The bleeding was clearly visible from Fabian's eyes.''After all, we both never married."

Jeanette's face that had been soaked by tears looked angry.'' I don't want to see you living happily with Miya in the meantime I'm living in your loveless grief.''

"You've gone mad Fabian said firmly.

"I'm crazy because I love you so much. I will do whatever I can to have you.'' Jeanette clasped Fabian's hand very tightly, but Fabian immediately brushed it off.

"Your love for me has made me suffer and made my loved ones suffer as well. Your love for me doesn't make me happy.''

"But during these four months you lived happily with me and Raina.''

"That's because I pretended to be happy for Raina's sake, because you're the mother of my son, but sorry no matter how much I tried I couldn't love you.''

Jeanette just cried.''I'm going back to New York with Raina, because I can't leave Raina with you here.''

"I won't let you go back to Miya. It won't. What else is taking Raina with you. If you leave, I'll kill Miya and your family. Fabian looked at Jeanette who was still full of anger.

"If you allow me and Raina back to New York, I'll forgive you."

"Never will."

Just then Cedric and Blinda came along with some policemen. Jeanette was surprised by their arrival.

"What the fuck?"

"Jeanette Walcott, you're under arrest on charges of attempted murder to Fabian Baskerville" one of the officers said.

"No. No, you can't catch me."

Jeanette tried to escape, but the police managed to catch her.

"Fabian, you can't do this to me" cried Jeanette.

"I'm sorry. I had to."

"You're gonna pay for all this" she yelled again before the police took her.

After Jeanette left with the police, Fabian was able to breathe a sigh of relief. Finally after four months, he was able to break free from it. Fabian thanked Cedric and Blinda for helping him.[ ]
