(S2): Falling from a horse

Raina walks the streets of the Clemonte family estate while enjoying the air in the morning. He saw the workers planting and harvesting vegetables. He also saw other workers feeding chickens and cows. Raina helps the workers harvest the vegetables, but is forbidden by Owen.

" Mrs what are you doing?"

" I'm helping them."

" You better not do it. I don't want your body to get dirty."

" It's okay."

" Later Mr. Leonard will be angry."

" Leonard won't be mad."

Owen took a long breath. " Okay, madam. I'm not gonna force you anymore."

" Thank you Owen."

Raina did not care, if her husband scolded her. He was happy to help the workers harvest the shallots. Towards noon, Raina again walked around the Clemonte plantation until she arrived at the border of land marked by a knee-high fence. Across the street stands a white-painted mansion that is a neighbor of the Clemonte family.

The atmosphere of the mansion looked so quiet that a voice greeted him.

" Good day!"

Raina turned her body. A man wearing a smiling cowboy hat on his horse.

" Good day!"

" I've never seen you around here."

" I just moved here yesterday afternoon."

" It's worth it."

The man got off his horse.

" I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Leonel Baldwin."

Raina watched for a moment the man in front of her. Leonel is handsome and according to Raina's guess is older than her husband, although Leonel looks very handsome and has a stocky body.

" I'm Raina Clemonte."

"Are you a member of the Clemonte family?"

" right. I'm the wife of Leonard Clemonte."

"Ah so you are Leonard's wife. I'm sorry I don't know." There was disappointment in his voice.

" It's okay. I just stayed here so it's only natural that not many know who I am."

" How about we have lunch with me at my place? Think of it as an invitation from a neighbor."

Raina was speechless considering Leonel's invitation and there was no harm in him accepting his invitation.

"All right."

Raina stepped over the guardrail. They walked towards the Leonel mansion.

Leonard, who had just arrived at his mansion, was welcomed by Leonie.

" Welcome back, Mr. Leonard!"

" Did my wife come here?"

" Yes, the lady came yesterday morning."

Leonard is relieved Raina did not return to her parents' house.

" Where is he now?"

" I don't know. Last time I saw her, the madam was out on a farm."

" all right. I'll look for him."

Leonard walked to the plantation and asked some of his workers about Raina. One of the workers saw Raina talking to Leonel and Raina went to Baldwin's residence. He immediately took the horse from the stables and drove his horse quickly.

Leonard didn't like his wife being close to Leonel, because he was a playboy. He was afraid that Leonel would tempt his wife. Upon his arrival at the Baldwin family residence, Leonard immediately found his wife. He was annoyed to find his wife having lunch with Leonel in the backyard of the mansion. He was jealous of the familiarity of the two of them and Leonard did not like it when he saw Leonel openly put his love to his wife

" Raina," call Leonard.

Raina was surprised by the arrival of her husband with an annoyed face.

" When are you coming home?"asked Raina who could not yet cover her surprise.

" Just now. Let's go home!"

Leonard pulled his wife's arm, then dragged her home. Raina felt bad for Leonel.

" Thank you for lunch."

" Next time I'll invite you again."

Leonard kept dragging Raina.

" Let go of your hand!"

Leonard did not listen to Raina and continued to grip the arm of his wife firmly.

" I'm not going to run away."

" You shouldn't be here."

" I just say hello to our neighbor and our neighbor invited me to lunch."

" Hurry up!"bentak Leonard's.

Raina got on the horse. Leonard spurred his horse and he immediately led Raina to his room as soon as they arrived at the mansion.

" What's wrong with you?"raina asked annoyed.

" Never come close to Leonel" cried Leonard angrily.

" He's a playboy. I don't want you to be one of the victims."

Raina laughs.

" Leonel is a good man."

" Don't be fooled by him. That's one way he's going to entrap a woman into falling into her charm."

"Are you jealous?"

" No."

"alright. In Paris you kept me quiet for a week now here you're indignantly indistinct. If this keeps up I'd better go home to my parents."

" If you go, go ahead, please"challenge Leonard.

" I'm going to get out of here" Raina shouted.

Raina insists on leaving Leonard and the man panics at Raina's seriousness to leave.

" You can't just walk away. You are my wife" Leonard said, trying to contain Leonard's departure.

" You know. I don't understand you any more."

" Why did you marry me?"

" I've said it before, no, that I love you sincerely and it seems like you can't appreciate my love and maybe you don't think of me as your wife anymore. I hope that after you return, you will be nice to me as it turns out no, I better just go."

" all right. I will not be angry with you anymore or silence you again. Are you satisfied?"

" I don't know. "

" If you go, what your parents say they'll be sad."

" You're right."

"Are you going to stay here?"

" It seems so. I did this, because of my parents. I don't want to make them anxious."

Raina then exits the room and Leonie notices her coming out of the room. The female servant followed Raina.

" Mrs Raina wait!"

Raina stopped her steps.

" Leonie, what's wrong?"

" Of course."

Leonie takes Raina to the music room.

" What do you want to talk to me about?"ask Raina.

" It's about Mr. Leonard."

" What's wrong with her?"

" In fact I know why Mr. Leonard would marry you."

" What do you mean?"

" Mister Leonard wants revenge on you."

" Vengeance?"

" Yes madam. That's why Mr. Leonard wants to marry you to avenge Mr. Oliver, his brother."

" Leonie, I still don't understand."

" You must know that Mr. Leonard has a younger brother."

"I know and his sister died in an accident."

" Mister Leonard thought you were one of the causes of his death."

" me?"

" Yes madam. Mr. Leonard thinks that you're his sister's ex-lover and have made Mr. Oliver sad and devastated, you've even aborted."

Now Raina knew why her husband was being cold to her. He was also very sad that Leonard never loved him. It made his heart feel very sick.

" I overheard Mr. Leonard talking to a picture of his sister. That's where I know."

"I don't understand why Leonard thinks I'm his sister's ex-lover?"

" Maybe your names are the same."

" You better split up with her soon."

Raina was surprised to hear those words coming out of Leonie's mouth.

" Your marriage won't be happy, because you don't love each other, so it's useless. Actually I love Mr. Leonard."

Leonie's unexpected confession greatly shocked him.

" I don't like you marrying Mr. Leonard, because you've taken her away from me. If only you had never been present in his life maybe now I've managed to win his heart."

Blatantly Leonie put on a hostile face with him. Now Raina knew why Leonie was being dislikeful to her.

Raina stood in front of the Castalia mansion with a wide smile with her clasping footsteps she pressed the bell of the towering gate, then there was the sound of a man.

" Good day! Can anyone help?"

" I am Raina Astor. Want to meet Miya Baskerville."

" Wait a minute!"

Not five minutes until the gate was open. Raina got into the courtyard of the mansion by driving her car. The butler named Edgar leads Raina to meet Miya who is arranging the flowers she just picked. Raina looked at Fabian's wife with a dislike look. He admitted that Miya who has the face of Asia is a beautiful woman no wonder Fabian married her.

"Good day! I'm sorry if my arrival here annoys you."

Miya stopped her activities, then smiled kindly to her guests.

"Jiang! Please sit!"

"no need. I won't linger here."

"alright. I can help you."

" I'm Raina Astor and I'm Fabian's lover, your husband."

Miya was very surprised by the confession of the foreign woman in front of her.

"You don't lie. Fabian couldn't have had a lover and betrayed me."

" But reality is like that. I'm his girlfriend and we've been in a relationship with him for six months."

"You must be lying and I believe in my husband."

Miya's eyes were already glazed over and her vision blurred, due to the tears piling up in her eyes. He did not want to believe what the woman said, but after he remembered Fabian's attitude for the past week that being cold to him shook his belief.

One week ago

Miya waited for Fabian's return from his office as usual during the time he had been married, but that night Fabian's attitude was not as usual. He didn't kiss Miya the way he always did.

By the time Miya returned to the room, Fabian had gone to bed. She got into bed and looked only at her husband's back. It was the first time since they were married for 13 years that her husband did not hug her while they were sleeping and did not whisper love words like rituals in the night before they went to bed. Miya could not stand the strangeness of her husband's attitude, and she asked.

"Are you asleep?"

"Not yet."

"Today you're very strange. Is there a problem?if there is you can tell me even if later I can't help much."

"No problem,’’ replied Fabian while still turning his back on Miya

"I'm anxious to see you like this, because you don't usually act this strange to me, even tonight you don't hug me as usual. Have I done anything wrong to make you angry?"

Fabian finally turned around and found Miya looking at him anxiously and sadly.

"What's the matter?’’asked Miya once more while rubbing her husband's face. Fabian took Miya's hand on her face and grasped it tightly. Miya could feel the warmth of her husband's hand.

" I'm okay just tired. Today my work in the office is very much."

Miya felt dissatisfied with her husband's answer, then suddenly her mind crossed whether Fabian did not love her anymore or she had an affair. He tried to throw away the thought, but still Miya's feelings were agitated. Miya is afraid, if her husband has cheated on her. He does not want to believe everything he thinks is not necessarily what he gives birth to is true. Miya was also afraid that her husband would get bored of her. A wide variety of bad thoughts entered Miya's mind.

The next morning Miya found her husband was no longer in bed and the waiter who came to her room to deliver breakfast said Fabian had gone early in the morning to his office. Miya's feelings did say that there was something strange about her husband. Usually before leaving Fabian always woke him up and gave him a good morning kiss. Today was the first time her husband had not done so.

It did not last for a day, but for a week. Her husband's attitude turned cold and Fabian did not want to say anything to her.

Now there is a woman who claims to be her lover. Miya no longer knew who to trust.

" There's no evidence that you're my husband's lover."

Raina smiled. " I don't have any proof, but I'm your husband's lover."

After Raina was satisfied telling lies to Miya, she left without saying anything else.

After hearing Leonie's explanation, Raina only understood why her husband's attitude had turned cold.

" I didn't expect Leonard to think of me as the one responsible for his sister's death" Raina muttered.

Raina's feelings became mixed. She is very angry with Leonard and she also feels she is the most stupid woman, because she believes Leonard's sincere love is fake. At first, Raina will struggle to maintain her love, but seeing her husband's attitude, Raina becomes angry. He decided to leave by asking for help from Leonel.

Raina rode a horse and the accident happened. He falls off the horse after almost approaching the mansion of Leonel, because Raina is so emotional that she cannot control her horse. Raina fell and was seriously injured.

Leonard finds out Raina escaped on her horse, but she has no intention of pursuing him and after being told by Leonie that Raina fell off the horse, she begins to feel anxious even more now that his wife is with Leonel, because the workers found Raina badly injured. Leonard's heart began to worry and jealous of his wife along with other men. He knows that Leonel seems to like Raina.

" Bastard playboy shit," snarled Leonard.

Leonard further worried his wife after he saw Raina lying in a state of severe injury and unconsciousness. He immediately approached Raina and clasped her hand.

" Why is it like this?"

Leonard could no longer endure his grief. He regretted making Raina like this. [ ]
