37. Engagement
Fabian and Miya decided to return to the castle, and their attention was diverted to the gate towards the castle of Baskerville. The door opened and a limousine entered the castle courtyard. Miya was so enthusiastic to see who came maybe one of her mother's family members again. The limousine was already parked smoothly in front of the entrance of the castle some servants were already there lined up neatly welcoming the arrival of someone who seemed to be very important.
A man came out of the limousine and Miya was slightly unnerved by the man's good looks. A butler greeted him and called his name as Mr. Waldgrave.''Is that guy Uncle Joshua?''muttered.
Fabian immediately approached him and spoke to him. "It's nice to see you again Joshua.'' Fabian's face looked very pleased and hugged her. Miya watched from a distance. He was indeed a handsome man with brownish skin and had extremely sharp turqoise eyes. If you pay close attention again Fabian and Joshua have physical similarities such as brown hair with golden tendrils, high cheekbones, a sturdy jaw and an athletic body. They both look like sisters. Miya followed them from behind. Joshua stared intently at Miya with judgment making the girl feel nervous.
"Joshua this is our niece Miya, '' Fabian said. Joshua with his turquoise eyes was still staring at him sharply and a smile was on his face.
"Hello!''greet Joshua with a heavy and raucous voice. Miya welcomed Joshua's cold hand and her piercing glare was still on him. At the corner of his lips expands a mocking smile still while continuing to watch Miya from top to bottom and the girl feels as if Joshua has stripped himself naked with the look of his eyes. He felt uneasy and nervous to be noticed by her like that. He wanted to run into his room right now. The call to lunch from a waiter rescues her and Miya can breathe a sigh of relief has freed her from Joshua's keen attention.
When lunch was over, Fabian stood up. He is happy that some of his family have arrived and he has not wasted another chance to announce his relationship with Miya. ''There is something I want to say to you.''Everyone who was there took Fabian seriously."Miya is officially my lover and I will marry her soon.''They were all shocked and looked at Fabian with a look of disbelief, then their gazes turned to Miya. Blinda's mouth opened as if her jaw would fall as well as the others while Joshua and Adelina just smiled.
Meanwhile Adelina who had been watching the two was smiling widely, then said, Congratulations to you two!''said.''When are you getting married?''
"Still not knowing. Maybe after Miya graduated college. We'll get engaged first.''Fabian looked back at his lover with a gentle smile .Miya's face has been red ever since and doesn't know what to say.
"Good son!''say Rosalie .
"Thank you, ma'am.'' Fabian hugged his mother.
"Dad is surprised the woman you love is Miya. It's beyond my expectations, but dad agrees you're married to him.''Fabian smiled happily and hugged his father. ''Dad hope you will live happily later.''
"Of course, '' Fabian answered confidently.
One by one the members of the Baskerville family present there congratulated Fabian and Miya. The girls were so happy, they agreed to his relationship with his uncle.''Congratulations, Miya, said Blinda.''I still can't believe you and Fabian love each other and are getting married soon.''
"Thank you, Blinda.'' Behind Blinda was Cedric who immediately hugged Miya tightly making Fabian put on a dislike facial expression.''Fabian turned out to be moving fast to get you. I was a step late from him, but I'm glad Fabian got you in the end.'' Cedric walked over to Fabian and put on a naughty smile.''If you don't make her life happy. I will not hesitate to take it from you, Cedric joked full of threats. After saying that Cedric left and Fabian looked very upset at him. Miya just smiled looking at him.
Miya also got hugs from her grandparents.''Congratulations Miya!May you be happy.''
"Thank you.''
They then gathered in the living room while enjoying drinks and some pastries. Fabian seemed busy talking to his father and also his mother. I don't know what they were talking about, Miya could only watch him from a distance. The heavy and raucous voice surprised him.''I didn't expect Fabian to choose you as his wife Joshua said. A cynical and mocking smile was on his face. His eyes were cold and stiff.''I know Fabian very well you're not his type. You're skinny, a little short and your face is normal. I don't understand what Fabian saw from you.''Miya opened her mouth to protest but her intention was paused, because after saying that Joshua immediately went and approached Fabian who was talking to his parents. The next afternoon Miya and Fabian held an engagement party that only family members attended. The two seem happy even though Miya feels sad that her father and mother are unable to attend, but they promise to see her as soon as possible . Fabian's eyes during the party never escaped Miya. Fabian is so happy. He quietly approached Miya and took her away somewhere leaving his family members who were enjoying the party and their departure no one noticed. Fabian took Miya to the library and immediately hugged her, then kissed the girl's lips many times.''I love you..love you,''re repeating Fabian.''I love you everything about you.''
Mary Jane frowned. Don't understand.''The shirt?''
"Yes the shirt I gave you this morning. I told you to sew the missed buttons.''
"Oh...That.it.forgive me. I forgot to sew it, but I'll sew it right now.''
Fabian let out a long breath.''Alright. I want that shirt finished in the sewing tomorrow morning, because I'll wear it.''
"Okay, Mr. Fabian. Excuse me!''
Fabian opens the room door and tells Miya to rest, before leaving Fabian lands a light kiss on the girl's lips that makes Miya's face red again. When their gazes met, the girl again found it hard to breathe. After saying good night to Miya, Fabian passed away going to her room. Fabian sat on the sofa of his room unbuttoning his shirt and his eyes caught something on the table. A bouquet of white Lily flowers and a white envelope He took the envelope and opened it. The writing on the letter was as beautiful as ever.
Congratulations on your engagement
Fabian immediately threw out the letter and put it in the trash. Fabian rubbed his hand against his face. Tiredness was on his face.''Who exactly are you?''
Miya lay in her bed tired, as Mary Jane came to her room carrying warm chocolate milk for Miya. The entire body felt sore and Mary Jane squealed Miya's body that felt tense.''I didn't know that you were good at spying.''
"I often did it to my mother.''
"Didn't you miss your mother? You can take a vacation if you want.''
"Of course I miss her, but right now I can't leave Miss Miya. My mom's gonna be fine.''
"At least you can look at your mother for a moment.''
"Of course, if there's any time I'll meet her and congratulations on your engagement, Miss Miya. I have not had time to congratulate you and hopefully you will live happily.''
"Thank you, Mary Jane.''Mary Jane smiled broadly.
"That's enough. You don't have to scold me anymore. You can come out now. I want to rest. ''
