The five years later..
Boltom’s Company
20.00
“Mr, Mrs Boltom is waiting for you for dinner.”
“Jessica?”
“Not, Mr.”
Matt stared blankly at Mark Lee, the assistant who had accompanied him a dozen years ago. It has been five years since Jessica's departure and she still can't figure out why the girl just left her.
But the belief that he believed the most, Jessica was so tired of his attitude, his attitude that always concerned work rather than family. But just then he promised to prioritize Jessica over anything, couldn't the girl give him a second chance? Matt smiled sadly, Jessica had given him many times, and he had also disappointed him many times.
“I told you not to call her Mrs Boltom.”
“Sorry, Sir. Madam forced me to call her that.” Mark looked down, Matt could only take a deep breath.
“Are there any news about Jessica, Mark?”
Mark looked at his boss. Five years have passed, and his boss asks the same questions every day. But Mark is grateful because Mr. Boltom's circumstances have been much better, the first three years lost Mrs Boltom he was so bad. Even the Boltom’s Company almost went bankrupt if the Master and Madam did not intervene to handle it.
Mr. Boltom seems to be an undead, all he does is sleep in the office but do nothing, not even touch his desk at all.
The large Boltom house is now empty, but Mr. Boltom pays several maids and guards to watch the house every day, still hoping that one day Mrs Boltom will come home, he couldn't live there alone.
“Sorry Sir, I have no news of Mrs." Matt looked at Mark with a blank look. Either have to find where else Jessica is, as if the girl was lost to the earth.
“Stay watch over Corrine and Mr. Edmond, chances are they are the masterminds of all this.”
Matt said again, I don't know how long he convinced this. He hoped Mr. Edmond was the mastermind of it all. It's all too painful if it's the fact that Jessica chose to leave. But everything was nil, how hard he was looking, neither Mr. Edmond nor Corrine had anything to do with Jessica.
“Good, Mr.” Mark gave me an answer. Although he himself knew, his efforts would be in vain. Five years have passed, it is too difficult to find Mrs Boltom without any evidence found.
“You remember I would give anything to you if you found Jessica, right, Mark?” Matt spoke again and looked at Mark with hope. Mark never disappoints, and he hopes Mark can find Jessica's whereabouts.
“Iya, Mr.”
“It will last forever Mark, maybe until I die. Find Jessica. I'll give Boltom’s Company to you."
......................
Boltom’s Family is now celebrating one year of their wedding – 3 hours ago
After one year of marriage, Mrs Boltom has now announced her pregnancy – 1 hour ago
“Mrs Boltom, yes?”
Jessica smiled faintly at her phone. And in the end Corrine was able to replace her position as Mrs Boltom. It had been five years since she left everything behind, leaving behind her luxurious life, leaving her position as Madame Boltom.
“You're sorry?”
Jessica gasped at someone's question. He looked over and found a man who was looking at him deeply. He is the same man, the man who helped him to leave his old world five years ago.
“No, of course not.”
Jessica smiled broadly. The man just looked at Jessica sadly, knowing that Jessica was lying. But, he was unable to let Jessica get away from him. Going with his past, he can't.
The man was still staring at Jessica who was now staring blankly out the window, as if the girl was thinking of something she could not solve on her own.
“You want to know about Michael Bellamy?”
As if she could read her thoughts, Jessica looked at the man who was now walking closer to her and sat down in the chair next to her. Looking at the surprised face of the girl before him, the man smiled.
“He is back with the Edmond family, his name is Adam Edmond now."
Jessica smiled at the man in front of her. If from the beginning he didn't come to the life of Matt and Mike, maybe everything would be fine. Mike should not be evicted from the Edmond’s Family, and Matt should not feel the pain of being betrayed. Again and again it was all because of his presence.
"Matt is happy with his little family now, and Mike is too." Said the man softly and looked Jessica in the eyes.
"Yes, I'm happy too."
"When are you gonna be happy with your new life Jessie?"
Jessica just kept quiet getting questions from the man in front of her. I honestly haven't thought about happiness in a long time. Now living a simple life by opening a bakery he named Lyns is more than enough. After all, he really has no life purpose anymore right now.
Looking at Jessica who was just speechless, the man now knelt down and pulled something out of his suit pocket. Jessica looked at the man confusedly, she already considered the man before her as her sister, because they were two years old.
"Will you marry me Jessie?"
Jessica was shocked, she could not say a word as the man took out a shapire ring with a beautiful blue gem. Jessica stood up, The man in front of her has been so kind to her, can she start over? Start putting things together and achieve your own happiness? Can he do all that? Matt is happy with Corrine and so is Mike. And can he be happy? So many questions in his head. To be honest, he is still afraid to re-establish a relationship with someone.
"I.. I don't-"
"I'm ready to wait, until any moment. I'll wait for you." The man stood up and confronted Jessica. It had been five years that she had gathered courage and it was painful for Jessica to turn her down by a split second.
"Yes, I'm willing to marry you."
The man looked at Jessica in disbelief, he thought Jessica would reject him. The man hugged Jessica tightly. No, he promised himself he would never let Jessica down. Jessica who got the hug smiled and returned her embrace.
"I love you Mrs Boltom." Jessica who heard him smiled irritatedly and pinched the man's waist in anxiety.
"Don't call me that." The man took off his embrace and chuckled at Jessica's pouting face.
"Then what are you? Boltom’s Company's personal assistant? Mark Lee?" Jessica spoke in a sarcastic tone that made the two laugh happily.
...THE ENDS...
