The Boltom family home

21.30

Jessica kept staring at the contact number that was on her phone. Half an hour had passed and one word he could not press, he squeezed his phone. She was worried, confused, after her plan failed this morning to tell Matt about her pregnancy. How did he get this news to Matt? It could be via phone or message. But this happy news should not be conveyed by phone. Moreover, he wanted to know firsthand how Matt's reaction to her pregnancy.

“Ma, when is papa back?” Jessica gasped in surprise, she looked at Lyn who looked sleepy. Since when did Lyn wake up? He didn't even notice Lyn coming down the stairs from his room.

“Papa's coming back soon, you're not sleeping Lyn?”

Lyn shook her head and walked over to her mother who was sitting on the living room sofa. The little girl was back on the couch with a cushion on her little thighs.

“I'm looking for Mama, I checked in Mama's room there is no. And I saw from above Mama sitting here. Is Mama waiting for Papa too?”

The innocent girl looked at the face of the mother from below. Then he turned his face away, making his face face face right in front of Jessica's flat stomach. Lyn's hand was raised and gently stroked her belly, her smile cracking, all she knew was that she would soon have a little sister.

“When is my little sister out?”

Lyn smiled warmly and still gently stroked the mother's stomach. Jessica smiled faintly, she stroked Lyn's head dearly. This little girl was so happy after getting the news that she was going to have a sister, Lyn just needed a friend.

“If there's a sister, I'm fine not playing with papa.”

Jessica's tears are filled with Lyn's spontaneous speech, but Jessica quickly removes them before Lyn realizes it. He knew, over time Lyn must have gotten used to it without her father.

For five minutes they were silent, making no sound. Even Jessica was too afraid that if she spoke, it would be a sobbing that she could not hold back. For him, silence is the best thing.

Jessica looked back at Lyn and stroked the little girl's head, now Jessica smiled, it turns out Lyn was back asleep. This little girl just wanted her mother's company. Jessica looked back at her phone and typed in a few sentences addressed to Matthew.

‘Goodnight baby, are you going home tonight? There's something I want to talk to you about. Lyn missed you too. I'm waiting for you Matt, I Love You're '5’

After reading it for three times repeatedly Jessica pressed send. He hopes Matt wants to see him tonight. He wanted to deliver the news directly to Matt.

Nearly thirty minutes since the message was sent. Jessica sighed, and stared at the large wall clock in Boltom's palace, at 22:15. If Matt's coming home, office hours should have been 8 last night. Jessica sighed deeply and re-typed some messages for Matt, he had no other choice.

‘I'm pregnant Matt, I'm pregnant with your child. I wanted to deliver this morning, but I don't think you and your project are doing very well. And I'm sorry about what happened this morning, I hope you come home tonight.

Greetings from your wife who loves you so much, Jessica Bolt.

Jessica smiled slightly as she typed in the love message, hoping Matt would be overwhelmed by the message this time. Jessica leaned her back, actually she was quite tired as well. Maybe a short nap could restore his strength.

Boltom Company

The sound of the phone's vibration distracts Corrine. In front of him is Matt's phone lying on the table, while Matt is still presenting their project for the next two weeks.

Corrine tried to ignore the message, but as she stared at “My Wifey” on her screen Corrine quickly picked up Matt's phone. Matt who was still focused on presenting was unaware of what Corrine was doing on his phone.

Corrine who read word for word in Jessica's message was quite surprised. If Jessica is pregnant with Matt's child, it will make Matt turn away from her and she doesn't want that. Corrine glanced at Matt at a glance, he smiled faintly as Matt was seen focusing on some questions from his employees.

“Cih! Crazy woman, don't expect Matt to come back to you.”

Corrine was noisy and immediately deleted the message. His mind was still drifting on Jessica's short message. His relationship with Matt is going to get more complicated, and he hates it so much. What's he supposed to do?

“What are you doing Corrine?”

Corrine flinched, by reflex she slammed Matt's phone quietly on the boardroom table. Corrine looked around, surprised to learn that there was no one in the room except Matt, Mark, and Dana, his personal assistant.

“What are you doing with my phone?”

“Ah? I just changed my contact name.” Corrrine said nervously.

“Master for meeting conclusion this time, I-“

“Tomorrow morning you make it, now it's too late. Your work hours should have ended a few hours ago.”

“Good Sir, I permission pamit.”

Matt nodded in response to Mark, the tall man exited the room. Matt checks his phone, from incoming calls or messages, but no one calls him. He looked at Corrine, who now seemed busy with his own phone.

“Dana, you come down first. There are a few things I want to talk to Mr. Boltom personally.”

“Good, Miss.”

Dana exits the room awkwardly, leaving Corrine and Matt. Actually, he was quite concerned that there was a special relationship between his boss and his coworkers, but all he could do was keep a secret.

Matt was silent, still trying to figure out what Corrine was doing to his phone. He's not a dumb guy who believes Corrine changing his contact name in the middle of a meeting is important.

“You heard me, Matthew?!”

“Urus is your own business! Don't disturb my family!”

Matt's cold words made Corrine clench his hands tightly. As if his concern for Matt wasn't considered the man. He just doesn't want Matt to look like a dumb guy in front of the Villegas girl.

Corrine opened her handbag and pulled out a brown envelope, she threw it on the meeting table. Matt was speechless, not even intending to touch the brown envelope.

“You can finish it or you can threaten him with it.” Matt frowned at what Corrine said.

“I know your wife's affair is starting to look for her biological child.”

Matt is shocked, how did Corrine find out if Mike started looking for Lyn? He never even told Corrine if he had children, because he knew she could threaten him with Lyn. But, how?

“You? How can you-“

“I'm Corrine Edmond, do you understand anything from my name?” Corrine said with a cynical smile.

Matt quickly grabbed the brown envelope and took out the contents. And it is true what he predicted. He just stared at Corrine in disbelief, how could Corrine get this without her knowledge?

The Boltom family home

22.45

Jessica gasped from her sleep when someone opened the Boltom family's big door. Still lulled in his dreams he tried to focus his vision. He sat down, fortunately he had lifted Lyn into his bedroom earlier.

“Matt, you home?”

Jessica smiled broadly and approached Matt who was walking towards her. Finally, after nearly four days Matt didn't come home, he came home today. Or because of the message to Matt? He didn't care, he was so happy with Matt's presence.

“Matt, you read the message-“

“I'm tired Jess, don't talk too much!”

Jessica flinched over Matt's bluff. Didn't Matt read the message? Or maybe Matt didn't care about her pregnancy? Or maybe the message was not sent, yes this must be the message was not sent and made Matt act like this.

Jessica quickly opened her phone and checked the message addressed by Matt. No, the message was sent and even received. Or did Matt not care? Jessica squeezed out her hand, making her hand redden. Why is it so painful? His heart is very sick.

“You've eaten? I made lasagna for you.” Jessica smiled faintly, trying her hardest to hold back her tears.

“I've eaten.” Matt began to open the tie and his shoes, with Jessica swiftly picking up the slippers of the house lying next to the main door.

“Lyn misses you so much, she was sleeping with me on the couch waiting for you. So, I moved it.”

“Hm.” Matt answered briefly, taking off his office coat

Jessica took a deep breath, trying her hardest not to cry. This time he squeezed his queen's stomach. He was disappointed, he was really disappointed. Disappointed at her hope that could make Matt come back to her because of this pregnancy.

“I want to rest.”

“Matt, I have something to talk to you about.” Jessica held onto Matt's arm, making the man sit back on the living room couch.

“I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant Matt.” Jessica smiled, displaying a neat row of teeth. While his eyes are inversely proportional, his eyes look teary holding back tears. Matt just stared at her flatly, as if it was a normal thing for her.

“Matt, I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant with your son!” Jessica began to emphasize her sentence, she now began to be annoyed with Matt's indifference to her, especially to the baby in her womb.

“You sure it's my son?”

“Matt!” Jessica shouted out loudly, completely unexpectedly it was a question that came out of her own husband's mouth.

“You're pregnant, after Mike comes back again in our lifetime!” Matt started to shout back to Jessica.

Matt opened his briefcase and threw the brown envelope on the table. Really, he didn't really want to do this. Yet as if Jessica was always fishing for him, luring him to end it all.

“You'll drop the baby or you'd rather sign it?”

Jessica was surprised, she held the brown envelope and took out the contents. Jessica flinched, a divorce letter that Matt had even signed. Why, why is Matt so mean to her?

“I'm tired of Jessie, I think our relationship is here. I should have known, we couldn't be together."

"Matt.. Wait, Wait!!"
