The taxi left Jessica standing in front of the 25-story office. For the umpteenth time Jessica stared at the hand bag she was carrying. Yesterday Matt didn't come home and he hoped that with him bringing Matt's favorite food, the man would forgive him. After all, no matter how much Matt hates him, Matt won't kick him out. Rather than Matt hurting her, he would rather get drunk out there with another woman.
Without Matt realizing it, with his attitude like that, it actually made him so sick.
Jessica pressed the elevator button, and the elevator door opened, standing Mark - Matt's personal assistant - who seemed so surprised to see her. Mark lowered his head and replied to Jessica's thin smile.
“N..Madam, are you coming?”
“Is Mr Boltom in his room?”
“Ah?” Mark looked even more surprised, Jessica looked at the man in wonder. Mark who looked resolute and did not hesitate this time was so different as if there was something he was hiding. Jessica put her shoulders together trying not to care.
“A..There's Madam, ta.but she's in a meeting.”
“Hm, okay. I'll wait for him in his room, I first.”
The elevator door opened, without saying a word or hearing Mark's reply, Jessica got out of the elevator and headed for Matt's room. He saw, some of Matt's employees looked surprised looking at him. What's actually going on? Unlike usual they behave this way, it seems like something is not right.
As Jessica wanted to hold onto Matt's doorknob, Mark quickly restrained his arm and looked at him very nervously.
“Mistress, Madam, I have info if you are in the meeting room. I can-“
“Don't touch me! I just want to wait in her room.”
Jessica flung Mark's arm around her and opened the doorknob, she saw Matt sitting on his couch with a towel around his waist and wet hair. Jessica smiled, Matt must have taken a shower, Matt would have been so happy if he had brought food for him, anyway why would all Matt's employees behave strangely today if it was just because Matt slept and bathed in his office.
“Darling, I need-“
Jessica's smile faded, she looked at a girl wrapped in a towel on her chest and a towel wrapped around her head was coming out of Matt's bathroom. Matt looks very surprised by Jessica's arrival, but the girl who came out of the bathroom with an innocent look just grinned.
“Welcome Mrs Boltom.” Corrine grinning.
“Jess, I can explain. I-“
Jessica felt her chest as if it was pierced by something, and it was so painful. He slammed the hand bag he was carrying. He made Matt's favorite Italian meal almost an hour over and this kind of surprise he got. Jessica let out a small laugh, while her tears started to come out one by one. He wanted to surprise Matt, but now he was surprised by Matt. Really stupid.
“Thank you Matt, thank you so much for making me feel what you feel.” He cheated on me, even doing bad things like that. But now Matt should be satisfied, satisfied to have replied to him.
“Jess, Jessie!” Matt started running after Jessica. Jessica must have misunderstood, she shouldn't have come here without telling him.

Jessica and Mike smiled, and they laughed. For a long time it felt like they were not joking like this, or indeed Mike was the type of person who rarely laughed. Mike looked gently at Jessica, this is one of the reasons why he loved Jessica so much, Jessica could always laugh, even melt the mood when her heart was broken.
