1.24. When do they do Everything End?

“Captain we came.”

Matt smiled grinningly greeted by his friends. Matt looked at his friends one by one. Carl, the man with the hair is now looking so manly with the body filled. Ragen, the cubby guy who is so cute now looks more cute. Timmy, the youngest man looks the most mature of all, which Matt thinks is the same as Lee, the guy with the same dreamy smile as his, warm smile, even her hairstyle remained the same after a few years of not meeting.

“See, see Jessica in the library!”

“That's funny Tim.”

Matt's sarcastic tone was able to make Timmy's mouth go silent. Carl, Lee and Ragen couldn't help but laugh at Timmy's expression. After almost four years they have not met, more precisely since Matt decided to study in the UK and finished three years of college just to apply for Jessica.

“Do you have baby Matt?”

“Hei Michael!”

Ragen's shout was able to make Carl who asked gasp. Matt stared at the door of the cafe, where Mike was wearing a short brown shirt. Matt clenched his hands tightly, why did he forget Mike was definitely present. Matt smiled cynically, even he forgot Mike was his best friend at Karin High school.

“How's France? You must be tired of seeing beautiful women there.”

Mike just laughed briefly, Lee sighed talking to Mike is so difficult, it takes extra patience. Even he was confused how Matt was able to befriend him from Junior High school.

“Back to my topic first, you have baby Matt? I want to hear good news.”

“No.”

Matt's short answer was able to make the atmosphere become gripping. Everyone gasps a little at Matt's answer, Matt being so warm becomes cold just because of Carl's questions about his family. They all know, if Matt is like this, don't discuss the same thing again, let alone ask him more deeply. Mike who saw Matt's reaction just smiled faintly.

“Good news, I'll get married.”

Timmy tried to get things back together by throwing an invitation on the cafe table. Lee quickly took the invitation. There it read for The Best Man Group, Lee stared exasperatedly at Timmy, the stingy guy. He didn't want to make five invitations, so just make one for all. While Carl tried to peek at the invitation in Lee's hands.

“You're getting married to Lara? Really?!”

Carl's loud screams were able to make Lee look irritatedly at him. But after hearing what Carl shouted, he hurriedly read the invitation quickly. Timmy Holland and Lara Kim. The five friends looked at Timmy in surprise. Even Mike who used to look unconcerned, is now so interested. Timmy being stared at like that was just grinning. He already knew this was the reaction of his five friends.

“You know Lara hurt Jessica, you're sure with-”

“Lara has changed, trust me.”

Matt stared intently at Mike, even Mike dared to discuss Jessica in front of his friends. Mike who felt something looking at him also looked at Matt. Mike grinned, Matt quickly averted his gaze with a tightly clenched hand. He doesn't want to get out of control here.

“Happy new life Tim, don't let your wife cheat behind you.”

Mike was quite jolted at Matt's words. Isn't Matt too brave to talk like that in front of everyone? While the four friends just looked at Matt in confusion. There must be something wrong with Matt's relationship with Jessica. Could Jessica be cheating on Matt? They think Jessica is a good woman.

“How do you think of a cheating wife, starting with Carl.”

Ragen who spoke the reporter style made the others roll their eyeballs, starting again the madness of Ragen. While Carl who was appointed first felt panicked, as if told to solve the hardest math problem in his life.

“I? Why should I? I'm not married.”

“Alright, starting from Matt.” The atmosphere became tense. Why Ragen instead brought up this problem, did not understand him if Matt had a problem with the word cheating.

“The affair must be resolved by divorce. The woman is wrong, betrayal remains treason whatever the reason.”

Matt spoke from the bottom of his heart. Upset and fed up to be more precise, all just fell silent, not wanting to bring it up any further. Mike who heard it did not want to lose, there is an argument in his head.

“I agree with Matt saying, who agrees?” Ragen asked.

“What if the marriage is not based on love? The woman cheated on him with the man he loved, because he did not love her husband. Couldn't it?”

All four of his friends except Matt were of course nodding. It could have been, to be honest, the first argument Mike made if Ragen had been acting silly like that. Mike was more silent and listened to the argument. This time Mike decided to talk.

“Wedding without love? Like what?”

“Stupid.”

“I go.”

“Matt.. Matt wait!”

Ragen's screams were ignored by Matt. Now all eyes were on Mike, the man just shrugged his shoulders as if he didn't know. They're sure there's a problem with Mike that they don't know about.

Ting! Ting! Ting!

The sound of her house bell being suppressed impatiently made Jessica wary. Now that it's been shown at one o'clock in the evening, who's been at his house this late? Obviously it had been almost two days that Matt had not come home, and Ma'am Hogwarts, one of his household assistants Matt had hired, had been dismissed because he had now started eating regularly.

Jessica opened the big door, and there was Matt who was being embraced by two sexy women on his right and left. Jessica's heart was pierced, so painful to see Matt in front of her. The man looked drunk, but grinned at him.

“Satisfy me Baby.”

Matt kissed the woman's lips to her right. Jessica clenched her hands tightly looking at this scene before her. Jessica pulled Matt's shirt collar and slapped the man hard. Jessica's breathing roared, her emotions could not stand, whether this was the first time Matt had brought a woman home, but this was the first time Matt had kissed her in front of him. For anyone she's still Matt's wife, and she really doesn't accept seeing it all.

Matt stayed in position, and Matt laughed loudly. Jessica's guts shrieked, Matt's laughter so creepy to him. While the two women in front of him just smiled watching this scene in front of him.

“You're jealous? How's it feel? Sick? Pissed off? Angry?”

“Matt however I am-”

“Enough Jessica! Never mention you are my wife! I would never have a wife who cheated on me.”

Matt just walked past her, Jessica lowered her head. Really, he wants to end his relationship with Mike, he will not have another affair with Mike. He wants to be with Matt now, but why would it be like this. Jessica's eyes glistened, her body almost fell when the two women in front of her who had accompanied Matt nudged both shoulders hard. They followed Matt upstairs, to the room they were both supposed to sleep in.

It's been almost a month since Matt knew everything. Matt talks about divorcing her, but the man seems to just lock her up in the house. Actually not locking him up, it's just that he's too confused to get out. At times like this, he could not possibly meet some of his friends, or even go shopping. He could not have fun, but in this house he was depressed. Matt rarely came home, but once he came home, he would bring a woman or two a night to stay. And he didn't know what they were doing in the room he and Matt were supposed to be in. As he now sleeps in the guest room, he is too scared to go into his room and Matt instead finds things that hurt him even more.

Did Matt deliberately torture her slowly? Why not just kill him if he is able to, he believes Matt is able to kill him. But that's not what the man wanted. The sound of her phone ringing made Jessica flinch. He saw his cell phone on the bedside table.

'Angelina.’

Even he still keeps Mike's number by the name of Angelina, Jessica smiled sadly. Slowly taking his phone, should he answer Mike's call? But he really doesn't know what to do at the moment. Mike couldn't have come here because he didn't pick up the phone, right? Without thinking any longer, Jessica picked it up.

“What's Mike?”

“You never picked up my call Jess, are you okay? Matt didn't hurt you, did he?”

Jessica looked down, Matt did hurt her, hurt her mentally. Matt made her feel what Matt felt. Matt should've slapped him, at least a rude remark he made. Not to hurt her heart like this. Jessica was not strong, she unconsciously started sobbing. He recalled Matt's gentle treatment of her, becoming the moment Matt kissed another woman in front of him. It was so painful.

“Jess, Jessie, you're okay right?”

“Matt..Matt...”

“Jess, meet me today at Shena Restaurant. Please, you'll go with me.”

Jessica's cry dimmed, unknowingly her heart skipped a beat. Is Mike serious about what he says? Or just play around? Is he sure he would prefer Mike over Matt here? Jessica was silent, her head thinking hard. Should he do this? Saying what Mike said?

“Good.”
