Matt ran as hard as he could, I don't know how many insults he received for hitting some people. His heart skipped a beat there, even an important meeting with some clients he canceled. He didn't care about anything else, hearing Jessica's news as if his world was collapsing instantly.

The little girl smiling sweetly looked at the father before Mark carried her. Matt was silent, all this time Lyn knew if Jessica cried because of it, he had been a bad father and husband for them.

Matt moved the hospital's door hinges, he entered Jessica's room and saw the woman sitting on her back against the hospital window. Matt took a deep breath, he could see Jessica's body shaking, the girl crying.

“Jess.” No answer, Matt sighed again and walked over.

“Go.” Jessica said coldly. Matt was silent for a while, unable to speak or walk closer.

“I said go! You didn't hear?!” This time Jessica raised her voice. Matt was silent on the spot, only able to stare at Jessica's still trembling back.

“You satisfied Matt?” This time Jessica turned to look at him, Matt was speechless. Regrets enveloped. He swore, deep in his heart this was not what he wanted. Sometimes he is too stupid when he cannot control his emotions.

Jessica screamed, her tears breaking, her heart so sore that she failed, failing to keep her baby. She shouldn't have opened the door for Corrine, she shouldn't have let Corrine in, she should have been much stronger in defending her baby.

“Corrine.” Jessica said slowly.

Matt was silent, but Matt clenched his hand tightly. He knew what Jessica said. That girl, she could have moved this far.

Matt moves away from Jessica's bed and presses a few digits of the number he's already memorized out of his head, the call is connected.

“Mark, check all CCTV connections today at my home!”
