117. Regrets

Jessica blinked her eyes slowly, and she closed her eyes again when she felt direct sunlight piercing her retina. He could feel something warm hugging his slender waist and he was very happy about it. Slowly Jessica wriggled slowly and drew closer to the person who was hugging her, she was sure it was Matt. It was one of Matt's habits that always embraced him while asleep.

The woman with her long brown mane still closed her eyes, too lazy to just open her eyes. He wants to be like this always, and forever. The arms that hugged her waist further tightened her embrace, Jessica silently smiled.

“Is your sleep good, Baby?”

Jessica felt a total sense of awareness when her eardrum caught the voice of someone she knew so well. His eyes looked horror at Mike who was smiling looking at him. He sat on the bed and stared at the whole room. Many clothes were scattered on the floor and he actually saw very clearly the white blanket he was wearing was a lot of blood spots.

“What-”

Jessica could not continue her words as she clearly saw Mike's face adorned with a grin. Jessica closed her eyes, and using her palm, she covered her entire face and started sobbing.

Yesterday's events are in his memory. He still vividly remembered the moment Mike entered his body, the scream, the sigh and the pain mixed into one in his memory.

Mike's gaze softened, his ears could hear very clearly Jessica's miserable sobbing. With great care Mike approached and touched Jessica's white shoulder that was not covered by anything.

“Do not touch me!”

Jessica's screams made her flinch. Jessica stood up from the bed with a white blanket to cover her entire body. He could feel the pain down there, but he didn't care about it now. He looked sharply at Mike but still with tears flowing. Disappointed, he was very disappointed what he had done with Mike. He shouldn't have complied with Mike's request to come here if it was going to end up like this, he was really stupid.

“Do you know what you've done to me Michael?!”

Jessica shouted loudly. Mike breathed a rough breath and stood up, actually he was very upset over Jessica's reaction to him. Why is Jessica so mad at him like this? He must have done it with Matt, but he was pretty sure that if Matt had done it, he wouldn't have been so angry like this. And Mike feels injustice here.

“You're mad at me?!”

Mike yelled back to make Jessica flinch. He squeezed both blankets that were deliberately used to cover his body. Why is Mike angry with her? Does he not know what he has done wrong?

“Do you think I should laugh happily after what you have done?!”

Mike clenched his arm. Now he looked at Jessica sharply, and slowly his legs began to draw closer towards Jessica standing up. Jessica who felt the things she did not want would happen, stretched back a little. But Mike quickly gripped both of his arms making the blanket he held to cover his body loose, which now only displays his innocent body that is not covered by anything.

“Let go of me!” Jessica shouted loudly in front of Mike. Mike did not flinch, he still grabbed Jessica's arms and looked at the girl in front of him. They both still looked at him sharply.

Jessica shouted back, she now began to rebel and it made Mike clutch his arm. Mike looked at Jessica intently, he saw very clearly Jessica's eyes were looking at her sharply, her slightly chubby cheeks were teary, her lips were slightly swollen from yesterday's act.

Mike's sharp gaze became soft, he didn't know why he loved this little girl so much. Even this girl has married someone who incidentally has a best friend, but she will not be able to let go of this girl, never can.

“Didn't you hear me?!”

“If you come back screaming, I'll do something to you.”

Mike's flat statement was able to make Jessica again jerk and close her mouth. The sharp look Jessica gave now turned into a sad look but Mike could not understand. Mike looked carefully at Jessica's sad gaze, but he failed to find the meaning of the sad look.

With a single jolt, Jessica managed to release Mike's hand that gripped his arm. Very quickly Jessica's hand swung and had landed hard on Mike's right cheek. Mike who got one hard slap on his cheek looked in shock, he looked at Jessica in disbelief. Is that how Jessica got to him? Jessica's anger made her angry.

“You dare slap me?!”

Jessica didn't flinch when Mike shook her shoulder. He no longer cared what Mike would do to him. After all, it is already dirty. She has been ‘feel’ by someone who incidentally is not her husband. What would he say to Matt? What anger would his father be if he found out? Where would you put his family name if they knew all this?

“It's enough Mike, we end it here.”

Mike clenched his arms tightly. This is not what he wanted, it should be Matt and Jessica's relationship that ran aground first and not the relationship. It's been about six months that he waited for Jessica to leave Matt and it ended up just because of this one mistake? No, he won't say anything to Jessica, he won't.

“You think I'll approve of your words? No, it never will. I could have told Matt.” everything

Mike grinned at Jessica, but was still met with a sad look from the woman. After all, now he already doesn't care what Mike will do next, even he doesn't care if he has to divorce Matt. He feels totally inappropriate when paired with a nice guy like Matt.

“Whatever you're gonna do, I'm tired Mike.”

Jessica said flat and left the room. He goes into the toilet, he wants to clean himself up first before going home and seeing Matt. As for Mike, the man just looked at Jessica in complete disbelief. The threat about Matt is no longer effective, and he's getting dizzy now.

Mike clenched his arm and threw away anything that was on the mattress with just about anything. He's really very dizzy. This was not what he wanted, he had to find another way. After all, his relationship with Jessica would never end, never would.
