“Pardon Corrine's behavior, Jessie.”

“Nothing Mike, surely he has a big reason to do this all to me.”

Jessica grimaced in pain as the nurse bandaged her wound, not too big but must be very deep, it could be seen how the folding knife was almost full stuck on her shoulder. Mike saw her feeling guilty. Besides Matt, Corrine must have done this because of him. Moreover, he has said if Jessica left him and married someone else who turned out to be Matt, the man Corrine loved.

“I will open the bandage when the wound dries Madam, is there anything else I can help?” The nurse with the hair asked.

“No, no. Thank you very much Sister.” The nurse simply nodded with a smile and then exited the room.

“Corrine, is he your brother Mike?”

Jessica asked and stared at Mike's eyes, Mike just sighed. He knew, with Corrine's behavior, he couldn't hide all this anymore. Though he could have guessed this would all happen after knowing if Ed Company would cooperate with Boltom Company. Ready or not, this is all going to happen.

“You still remember that, huh? She is my sister, but I think she has changed a lot.”

Jessica looked at Mike who seemed to be flying with her mind. He had been in a relationship with Mike for a long time, but he didn't really know about this guy. Mike said slowly. Jessica understood, having a distinguished family is sure your life will be the center of attention, and Mike does not like it.

“I just want to go to school with ordinary people, hang out with ordinary people, and marry people I love.” Mike stared in Jessica's almond eyes, as if trying to channel his feelings through a gaze.

“If I were still labeled Edmond's family, I would have to marry a noble. While the person I love is a simple girl, who has a fragile body but a strong heart. But, with the Edmond family I can't get it all.”

Secretly Mike smiled sadly, even without the Edmond family he could not marry someone he loved. Jessica, Jessica Villegas is someone who is in her heart until now.

Jessica was silent, she looked at Mike who spoke hot. Mike's right, she's Mrs Boltom, Jessica Boltom. From several meetings with large companies he was the one who became the center of attention and hailed. At least if the whole world supports Corrine, this country should support her.

“This time you have to protect yourself, the one you are fighting is Corrine Edmond not Lara Kim anymore Jessie. No one will protect you, me or Matthew. You have to fight it yourself.”

“If Corrine can hurt you, she won't hesitate to hurt Lyn, Jessie. And only you can protect her.”

Jessica clenched her hands tightly. Anyone can hurt her, but not Lyn. Lyn more than her own life, she must protect him. Lyn was never guilty, and had nothing to do with the problem.

“I hope you listen to some of my words Jess. Corrine is not an easy opponent to beat."

Jessica was still seen flying with her mind, the girl was daydreaming but her face looked irritated with her strong fist. Mike sighed and stared at the watch.

“I have to go, I'm afraid Matt came and came back misunderstood me.” Mike stood up from the chair, he glanced at the still dreamy Jessica. And next, he turned around, heading towards the exit of the room.

“Mike!” Mike stopped and turned to look at Jessica who was also staring at him.

“Thank you, thank you so much for helping me.” Mike just smiled thinly and nodded.

“Mommy!”

Both Mike and Jessica gasped, Lyn entering the room and hugging Jessica. Jessica returned Lyn's embrace and carried her into her arms. Jessica sobbed, finally, Lyn finally came back again in her arms. He would really blame himself if there was one wound of any kind on his daughter's body.

Matt followed, entering the room. The man was surprised to see Mike who was also there, Matt clenched his hands tightly. He smiled sadly, so as long as he saved Lyn from Mr Villegas, Jessica and Mike were together? Matt looked at Jessica with disappointment.

“Uncle, Uncle took care of my Mommy huh? Thanks Uncle, I love Mommy.”

Lyn said as Jessica let go of her embrace, Mike seemed surprised to hear Lyn's remark. Matt clenched his hand, and Mike was able to grab Lyn's attention, which made him even more angry. With annoyance, Matt came out without saying a single word. Mike and Jessica who saw Matt come out in anger just looked at each other. Again and again, Matt misunderstood them.

“Sama-sama Darling. Uncle will catch up with your Daddy, this time you have to take care of Mommy okay?”

“Siap, Uncle.”

Mike comes out of the room, hoping Matt isn't far away. To be honest, he was tired of all this misunderstanding. Jessica prefers Matt, which is a fact she should accept.

“Matt! Matthew!”

Mike runs when he sees Matt leaving the hospital. Mike touches Matt's shoulder, but he flinches when Matt suddenly turns around and pulls his collar. Some of the people who were still there looked towards them.

“Matt, you've misunderstood. Me and Jessica-“

“Never mention my wife's name, bastard!”

Matt pushes her against the hospital wall, Mike sees the receptionist picking up the phone. Mike thinks he's calling the security guard. But this time Mike resigned, if Matt had to beat him he would have accepted it all.

“Why are you back Mike? Why go back to my life with Jessica?!”

Matt spoke sharply, as if he was pulling out his fangs. Mike sighed, it had been almost seven years and Matt still had not forgiven him. Actually he came back to this country because of cooperation with one of the companies here. But after seeing Jessica at Pizza’s Luv a few days ago, he also realized her stupidity. He approached Jessica, because he missed the girl so much.

“You are indeed a bastard Mike, until whenever you are always a bastard!”

Matt pushed him, making his back hit the hospital wall hard. If from the beginning he did not approach Jessica, maybe this would not happen. He must have been watching Jessica from a distance, and Corrine probably wouldn't have hurt Jessica. It's all because of his mistake.

Mike clenched his hand tightly, Matt should have thanked him. Matt was too stupid to ever understand how Jessica was doing.
