Love Without But

Love Without But
Who are You

The atmosphere at home started to get very crowded. Neighbors around have been busy helping to cook in the kitchen since a few days ago for the preparation of H day. Families from far away have gathered and come to just watch this sacred event.

Although the event that will be held is quite simple and far from the word luxury. But everything must go on purposely. The walls of the simple house were already covered by a pink makeup cloth with flower decorations in several corners of the room. Simple tents are installed in front and side of the house complete with several chairs and tables for invited guests.

The furnishing table is neatly arranged filled with various kinds of food to just entertain the guests who will attend.

I who was still in the bathroom was called Mom, because she said the makeup artist had come and was waiting for me in the room. I immediately finished my activities in the bathroom and headed to the room.

"Come, Dhin, we'll start now!" take Teh Wulan a bridal makeup artist who comes from a neighboring village next door.

"Yes, Tea, I'm sorry, I was waiting, huh?" I said at once asking.

"No, nothing, really, Teteh also just came." Wulan Tea.

I saw Teh Wulan begin to pick up and open the combat tools that had been prepared and stored in a large bag. Skilled hand Teh Wulan began to work according to her profession to decorate every bride in several villages around her who had often used her services.

My face began to be cleaned using cosmetic cotton and facial cleansing liquid, then polished with solid powder and some other makeup tools that I myself did not know and did not understand. Because it never has as many makeup tools and as complete as that. All I know is that solid powder is commonly used every day. This lip does not escape the lipstick polish with a red color.

Tea Wulan's hand was like picking up a shaver and starting to point it at the eyebrows if only I didn't exclaim and ask him.

"What's it for, Tea?

"Make eyebrow shaving so good and easy later dandaninnya," replied Teh Wulan stopped briefly the action that was about to shave the hair over my eyes.

"Sorry, Teh, Dhinil asked for his eyebrows not to be shaved," I worried.

"Lha, why, Dhin, really, does Dhinil seem so scared that his eyebrows are shaved?" Tea Wulan asked in astonishment.

"Yes, Tea, right, we can't shave or pluck our eyebrows" I replied later. Still recorded clearly in the memory of ustaz Sofyan, teacher of fiqih lessons when I studied at the boarding school explained about the law of shaving eyebrows in Islamic sharia.

Ustaz Sofyan.

"Whatever the reason if there is already a ban from the rules of our religion. As much and as much as possible we avoid and do not do." That's more or less the explanation of ustaz Sofyan that I always remember.

In small hearts intend not to shave eyebrows whatever the reason. Moreover, this beginning of myself will lead a new life in living a household that must be based on the intention of worship solely expecting the pleasure of the Almighty.

"Dipesan the same Masnya yes, Dhin, if his eyebrows can not be shaved?" tanya Teh Wulan later.

"No, it's Tea, but Dhinil himself doesn't want his eyebrows shaved."

"Son, any time Dhin, once shaved a little to just tidied doang, really." Teh Wulan is still negotiating with me which she might find strange.

"Yes, Dhinil, it's okay to know, if in an emergency like this, mah. Kan, shaved also only at this time doang, want to groom a bride who only once in a lifetime," said Fitry, my friend who happened to accompany from the beginning of the grooming process earlier.

"Alisku also used to be shaved in time when she wanted to be a bride" continued Fitry confirmed.

"Once again Dhinil apologizes, Teh, instead of Dhinil rejects the advice and enter from Teh Wulan and Fitry. But Dhinil had intended in his heart that he would never shave and pluck his eyebrows under any circumstances. Even if it is only once in a lifetime during the bridal makeup process as it is today, because shaving and plucking eyebrows is clearly no prohibition in Islamic religious law.

“God has a tattooed and tattooed woman, a woman who has her eyebrows shaved and her teeth frowned, with the aim of beautifying themselves to change the creation of Allah Ta’ala. Annamishah (an eyebrow shaver) and Al Mutanamishah (one whose eyebrows are shaved) are also haram and get the curse of Allah Ta’ala. Something that clearly has a ban we cannot break and cannot bargain anymore." I tried to explain the reason at length, hoping to be accepted by Teh Wulan and Fitry.

"Yes, Allah, Dhin, what about Teteh who has been in this work for many years. Tetah as a doer who shaves the eyebrows of people also sin and haram, huh?"

"Yes, Tea, the shaved and the shaved alike cannot. The law is clearly illegal. Something that has been forbidden if it is still done means we sin."

"Thank you, Yes, Dhin, his knowledge. From now on Teteh will not wear the ritual of shaving the eyebrows of people who will Teteh makeup. Teteh does not want to get sustenance from things that are forbidden by religion, fearing no blessings and do not care for the Teteh family," concluded Teh Wulan earnestly.

"Yes, Tea, same. Dhinil only conveys what Dhinil knows. Because maybe around us there are still people who do not know and understand it."

After going through a bit of a debate that was a bit difficult and took a few minutes, finally Teh Wulan was willing to decorate without disturbing the eyebrows perched above my two eyeballs.

A white kebaya with a matching color veil decorated with a small crown and a strand of jasmine flowers dangling in front of the chest was attached to my tiny body. I had difficulty when I wanted to walk because the songket patterned batik skirt felt limited space. So I had to be swept by Teh Wulan and Fitry on the left right side exactly like a person who was training to walk.

After approximately one hour the makeup process has been completed.

Time has almost shown ten hours but the entourage of the Great Mas family has not yet arrived. There was a sudden feeling of anxiety surging within my heart. Worried that something bad has happened to Mas Agung, who will soon become my halal lover.
