Indeed Allah SWT gives a test to humans to see how much human ability in living and passing through the problems of life. Like an exam at school, where the teacher provides a test problem sheet that aims to enable students to solve problems, then the results will be assessed by the teacher until the end of the semester.

It is also the same as the test of life, Allah SWT gives a test to man to know every ability of His servants in solving the problems of life, whether the problem of property, children, family, workplace & family , or any other problem.

Allah SWT said: "And truly, We have tested you with a little fear, hunger, monetary crisis, crisis of the soul and crisis of fruits.Deliver good tidings to those who are patient. Those who, when doomed, say, ‘Innalilahi wa ina ilaihi rajiun (We belong to Allah and only to Him will we return)’. They are the ones who get the blessing and the affection of their Lord and they are the ones who get the guidance,” (QS. Al Baqara: 155-157).

Even the Prophet SAW said: “Really, the magnitude of the reward along with the magnitude of the ordeal. When God loves a people, He will test them. Whoever is willing, then for him His pleasure, and whosoever hates, then he will get His hatred,” (HR. Tirmidhi AT). Quoting some sources, there are some wisdom that we can take lessons when we are hit by a disaster or a test of life, including:

Based on the Prophet SAW's hadith above which reads, “..If Allah loves a people, He will test them..”. So this indicates that every test man receives is as a form of the love of Allah SWT to His servants.

The test of life makes us more patient. As in the word of Allah SWT : “Do you want to be patient?”,(QS. Al Furqon :20). It means that God gives the test wants to train our habits to learn patience.

Training us to learn gratitude. This is as explained in the words of Allah SWT: "And (remember) when your Lord declares, "Verily if you are grateful, then I will add (merciful) to you, but if you deny (my mercy), then I will not be satisfied, then surely My punishment is very good (QS. Abraham 7).

There are trials and disasters

This is explained in the words of his – letter Al Anbiya verse 35, the explanation is as follows: It means :“Every soulful will feel dead. We will test you with ugliness and kindness as trials (the real ones). And only to Us are you returned.” (al – Anbiya’ :35)

Awake from the life of the world

Allah will always take care of his servants – servants – of His who believe and fear in the world. Will not let fall into disobedience. And always take care of the servant with peace and also calmness of heart.

” Verily Allah will take care of His believing servant –and He loves Him - just as you take care of the food and drink of the sick (among) you, for you fear his (death).” (CHR. Al Hakim, Ibn Abi ’Ashim and Al Baihaqi)

There is Hallucination

Happiness is an incomparable gift. Do not forget that the blessing is one of the blessings and signs of affection in Islam given by Allah SWT to us. ” God gave the world to those He loved and hated . But He does not give (consciousness) religion, except to the One He Loves. Then whomever is given (religious awareness by Allah, means he is loved by – His.” ( HR. Imam Ahmad, Al Hakim and Al Baihaqi)

Better understand religion

Ease in understanding religion will be given by God gradually little by little. His – Servant will be led to the right path with certain clues. So that the learning process can be followed well.

The more obedient

Then when the heart feels calm and encouraged continuously to keep worship or even carry out the command either obligatory worship or sunah, it can be said as one of the signs of affection that Allah Swt gives.

Difficult to do the work

Among the many signs of God's love for his – servant that will feel difficulty when going to do things – things related to maksiat. He could not do it easily because God always took care of him.

Husnul khatimah

The real affection is Allah SWT closing the age of his servant with charity. This is a very important moment, many of His – servants who spent their age in terms of obedience, but died in the condition of committing acts to God.

This you can see from Abu Bakr's conversation with the Prophet SAW: Abu Bakr said: ” If one foot is in heaven, and the other foot is out of heaven, then I am not aman” If we do things – things that lead to acts of evil, fear death, and be careful if we die in a state of maksiat.

Prophet Muhammad SAW said: ” If Allah loves a servant, He will sweeten him” Friend asked: ” What does it provoke him O Messenger of Allah? ” He said : ” He will give him instructions to do good at the time of his death, so that neighbors will grieve him - or he says - people around him.” (CHR. Al Hakim)

Given enough sustenance

Allah must give sufficient fortune to every servant of His – through one of them is the practice of facilitating sustenance that is recommended in Islam. It means : “And We have glorified the posterity of Adam, We lift them up on land and in the sea, We give them good nutrition and We give them a perfect advantage over most of the creatures We have created.” (QS. Al-Isra’: 70).

Raised his degree

It means: “O you who believe, when it is said to you, give spaciousness in the assemblies, then spread them out. Allah Almighty will give you a spaciousness. When it says, stand up, then stand up. Allah will lift up (degrees) those who believe among you and those who are given some degree of knowledge. Allah Ta'ala. Research what you are working on.” (QS. Al-Muj is: 11)

Replying all good deeds with reward Means: “Whosoever brings good charity then for him (merit) tenfold his charity; and whosoever brings evil deeds then he is not given vengeance but is balanced with his crimes, while they are not at least persecuted (hurtured).” (QS. Al – An’am: 160)

His prayers granted Allah SWT always grant do’a – do’a of all his – servants. It only takes time, so you have to be patient and wait. Because God knows the right time to grant every do’a. God will give you what you need, not what you want. That must be good for you.
