LOVE OF ORDINARY MEN

LOVE OF ORDINARY MEN
New house

The weekend, as promised by Alzam, they shopped for household furniture at a furniture store subscription Alzam, the price can be shaken to get the price of friends.

They bought a set of wooden chairs, consisting of one long chair and one single chair, complete with his desk. They also buy kitchen utensils such as gas stoves and tubes, dish shelves and cabinets to store groceries.

Not to forget also they bought a small bed, considering the size of the room that is impossible to fill a king-size mattress. Not to forget also a wardrobe to use together and also a dressing table for Olivia.

Not to forget they also bought cooking utensils and cutlery, but Alzam did not buy a dining table, and preferred to buy clothes clothes made of light steel.

He also had to withhold his expenses, because how the savings for emergencies are needed, if at any time something happens that is beyond estimate. In addition, Alzam has spent a lot of money to prepare his new residence with his wife, ranging from the cost of rent, renovation to buying furniture.

So, they also do not buy goods that are not so needed and can still be replaced with human energy.

As a result of cleaning, brooms, mops, and laundry were done manually by hand, because Alzam could not buy an automatic vacuum cleaner and washing machine for his small house.

He prioritized buying refrigerators, TVs and fans as supporting electronics.

After finishing shopping for furniture all day, they then returned to the new house, and waited for the delivery of goods to come.

“Sorry yes, Liv. I can't buy you a washing machine yet. I have to save on expenses. You're not papa, are you?” ask Alzam.

“Where are you, Mas? I'm not papa really, laundry must be around here a lot. But the words save your expenses earlier, surely you prefer to do your own holiness, right? But I can't wash myself, Mas,” Olivia said.

Alzam understood that the answer was honest from Olivia's heart. He was not angry and did not feel disappointed with the response from his wife. However, he could only ask Olivia to be patient for some time.

“You are patient first. God willing next month I buy a washing machine for you,” said Alzam.

Olivia just nodded. He did not want to make Alzam more disappointed with his honest answer.

After their goods came, everything was immediately placed in the house, assisted by the services of the furniture store, because it was impossible for Alzam and Olivia themselves to move all these items.

After all entered, then they arranged it to fit the shape of the house. Because they will not directly occupy the house at that time, so they let some items to remain wrapped in plastic, to reduce pollution from exposure to dust.

When they finished, they returned to the Abimana family home to pack up before moving.

...☕☕☕☕☕...

A few days later, the day of Alzam and Olivia's move arrives. Papah Abi and Mamah Ros took them along, as well as bringing the goods that the young couple had prepared to bring to their new home.

Previously, Alzam had rejected the offer of a house transfer gift from his father-in-law, as was the attitude of Alzam who did not want to trouble others and maintain his pride as a man.

In fact, he could have asked for something that has not been able to be bought to Papah Abi, but a sense of responsibility or maybe more appropriate prestige, but, making Alzam refuse and choose to try alone to meet unmet needs.

Papah Abi can only obey Alzam's decision. She hoped that her daughter could endure a simple life with such an ordinary man. If not, he will always be ready at any time to help them both.

While Mamah Ros, the woman continued to insinuate the condition of the house that Alzam had chosen as a place to live with Olivia. He wandered to the corner of the room, and saw how small and narrow the house was.

“You really want to stay here, Liv?” ask Mamah Ros, who has entered into the only bedroom in the house.

“Why not? After all, this house is enough to live together with Mas Al. Everything is there and complete,” replied Olivia, while she was moving clothes into the closet.

“Mah, if you do not want to help, mending Mamah sitting in front with Papah aja deh,” Olivia said.

“Dih, this child. Dikasih tau ngusir. Okay, let's see, let's see when you'll survive poor like this. Inget yes, Liv. Nathan told Mamah that he would be ready to accept you at any time, as long as you want to separate from your husband. So, continue playing your houses, until we are tired of ourselves and bright,” said Mamah Ros at the end.

The woman then leaves Olivia's room.

Outside, Papah Abi and Alzam were looking at the back garden of the house. The middle-aged man did not comment too much on the new residence of his son-in-law. He prefers to appreciate Alzam's opinion of the house which he thinks is comfortable, of course from Alzam's own point of view.

Suddenly, Mamah Ros called Papah Abi, with an annoyed face. It is certain that the woman had just had another debate with the princess, due to the ramblings of Mamah Ros who always insulted Alzam.

Seeing that, Papah Abi decided to go home soon, considering that they had been there too long.

Alzam can even only treat the two in-laws with bottled mineral water, considering there is nothing in the house.

Olivia and Alzam have both taken their parents away. Although upset, but the girl could not resist the call of the husband, who asked him to come out for a moment and greet his parents before they left.

After Papah Abi and Mamah Ros returned home, Alzam went into the room and saw his wife's suitcase and backpack empty. She saw Olivia arranging her cosmetics in a small stacking rack on the dresser.

She hugged Olivia from behind, and placed her chin on her shoulder.

“That's you getting into the closet?” ask Alzam.

“It. You think Mamah will do me what?” answer Olivia ketus.

Alzam could still see the look of an upset face on the reflection of his wife in the mirror. She knew that before, Olivia must have argued with her mother again about her poor husband.

Alzam also hugged Olivia's waist tighter, making the girl stop her activities. He reached out and touched Alzam's cheek. They looked at each other through the reflection on the mirror of the dressing table.

“Don't think macem-macem. I talked ketus because..” said Olivia.

Suddenly he stopped. When Alzam's lips unexpectedly touch his cheek and make Olivia freeze instantly.

“I know, and will always try to understand you from now on. Thank you, my wife,” said Alzam.

She hugged Olivia again, and she leaned her back against Alzam's chest. Let go of a moment of frustration at his heart over the words of the mother earlier.
