“Mrs Olivia,” call a nurse
“Ya, I,” Olivia said.
Currently, Alzam and Olivia are in one of the puskesmas which happens to be close to their national complex.
Alzam initially wants to take Olivia to the hospital, but Olivia does not want to because she thinks she will just throw away her husband's money.
Plus he is not one of the recipients of government assistance in terms of health, given his background which is the son of a rich businessman.
Olivia remembers very well that Alzam had sacrificed a lot to give up his dream of opening a new branch for his shop, because all his savings he used to marry him.
As a result, they are currently in the health center after having had a debate for a while on the road.
After getting a call from the nurse, Olivia accompanied by Alzam entered the examination room.
The general practitioner on duty directed Olivia to go up to the patient's bed to be examined.
“What's the complaint, Bu?” ask the doctor before starting the examination.
“Mual vomit, Doc. I think I ate wrong,” replied Olivia.
The doctor then examined the woman using a stethoscope from the chest to the abdomen. She patted the surface of Olivia's stomach several times and then returned to her seat.
Olivia wakes up aided by Alzam, and sits at the doctor's desk.
“How is my wife's condition, Doc?” ask Alzam
“The stomach is not papa. Everything's fine. This is just a possibility, but I recommend you to do a lab check and ask for a urine test to his lab clerk,” exclaimed the doctor.
“Cek lab? Is it that bad?” ask Olivia worried.
The doctor was writing something on a piece of paper. He then gives the paper to Alzam always Olivia's guardian.
“Do a lab check first to ensure the condition of your wife, Sir. I can't say it now, before the lab results come out,” exclaimed the doctor.
Finally, Alzam inevitably went out with Olivia and headed to the laboratory that was still in the puskesmas area.
Olivia was asked to take a urine sample and store it in a small tube. He then gave the object back to the officer to be tested.
Not long after, the lab officers came out and brought a paper containing the results of a lab check conducted by Olivia. However, the officer did not direct Alzam and Olivia to return to the general practitioner's room, but they were asked to go to the midwife on duty.
Without much questioning, Alzam also memapah Olivia headed to the place indicated.
Arriving there, they had to wait in line for a while, because there were two pregnant women who were waiting for the turn of the examination.
Looking at the conditions around him, Alzam seemed to have a premonition that there was good news they would get there. He began to hope that what he was thinking was really happening. Alzam clasped Olivia's hand tightly, until she turned and looked confusedly at her husband.
“Why are you, Mas? How tense is that?” ask Olivia.
“Ngak papa. I'm just another shadow, if you're pregnant will be kekiman huh?” sahut Alzam's.
“What is clear will be fat like the mother,” said Olivia while pointing to pregnant women who just came out of the examination room.
This time, Olivia's turn came. He came in and just like before, he was asked to lie down on the patient's bed.
The midwife closed her waist down with a blanket, and lowered the leggings she wore until the lush forest was almost visible.
Olivia was not aware of the medical procedures the midwife had done to her. While Alzam, the young man continued to pay attention to the treatment of the field to his wife.
The midwife was seen pressing on the lower part of Olivia's stomach and as if pushing her up, causing a slight pain there.
“Ehm... already there is this,” murmured.
He then asked Olivia to come down and sit in front of his desk.
Olivia seems to think and remember the last time she got her period. However, not yet Olivia found the answer, Alzam first voiced.
“Last month,” says Alzam fast.
Olivia turned her head while frowning, looking at the husband who was so sorry for his period.
“What's the hell, Mas?” ask Olivia.
“I'm sure. You want, you menstruate right two weeks we married. You could say we married for two months. So really last month,” replied Alzam.
“Oh yes, Madam midwife. Around the date ten months ago,” says Olivia.
The midwife then picks up a round, paper-like object with many numbers, similar to a calendar but much different in shape.
She then picks up a pink book with a cover of a small family consisting of a father, a daughter and a mother who is pregnant.
The midwife wrote something on one of the pages.
“Mom's dependency is six weeks old. So naturally if the mother has vomiting, especially in the morning,” said the midwife.
Olivia turned her head to hear the midwife's words earlier. His brain could not yet digest what the woman in front of him had just said. While Alzam, he grabbed the wife's hand and grasped it tightly.
“Mas, what does it mean?” ask Olivia.
“Honey, you are pregnant,” replied Alzam.
“What? Ha... Pregnant?” peekik Olivia shocked.
“True, Mom. As I said earlier, your gestational age is not even two months. It is natural that you experience nausea, vomiting, dizziness and weakness, especially in the morning. That's what people often call morning sickness."
"I recommend that you maintain your diet, in order to keep getting nutritional intake. Be sure to avoid food items that smell sharp, or objects that can trigger your nausea reaction. Eat a little but often. Expand nyemil to anticipate an empty stomach because lazy to eat."
"One more. For husbands, please avoid having sex first, before the mother enters the final second trimester. Because the present is very risky miscarriage due to strenuous and exhausting activities. I'll get you some vitamins. Please drink regularly."
"Then, this is a KIA book. Please take it every time you come for routine checks or when to the nearest posyandu,” explained the midwife at length.
After giving instructions on what can and cannot be done to Alzma and Olivia, both resigned and redeemed drugs in the pharmaceutical department.
Since coming out of the midwife's room, Alzam continued to embrace his wife's shoulder and make sure that she did not fall down, given her still limp condition from vomiting earlier this morning.
Plus the happy news that he will soon become a father.
While in the parking lot of the puskesmas, Alzam took a bogo helmet and dressed it to Olivia. But after that, he didn't wear his own.
He looked down at Olivia's stomach, which still looked flat. Alzam then crouched down and faced right in front of the woman's stomach.
Gently, he rubbed the flat stomach and kissed it.
“Darling, healthy continues well. See you in eight months,” said Alzam.
Seeing her husband who was so happy with her pregnancy, Olivia also smiled warmly and stroked the hair of the husband who was still at home hugging his stomach.
