"Son, tomorrow you are home, right?", asked Ms Ratmi shortly after Abhimanyu kissed the back of her hand before going to the office.

"Yes, why, Mom?"

Ms. Ratmi smiled, "Tomorrow there is a special guest coming. Mom invited him to lunch with us at home. I hope you are willing to meet her" said Ms Ratmi.

Abhimanyu reviewed a thin smile and without asking any more he nodded his head.

Ms. Ratmi smiled happily, she looked at her son's departure with a happy heart.

Today the work of Abhimanyu is quite a lot. He should lead three important meetings with clients.

"Bi, this is the file you asked for our company's cooperation scheme with company X", Jessi came to Abhimanyu who seemed busy struggling in front of his laptop.

"Oh, yes, thank you very much, Jess" Abhimanyu replied without even a hint of taking his eyes off the screen.

"Yes", Jessi replied shortly. His feet immediately stepped outside, leaving Abhimanyu who ignored him.

"Hmm.job is more interesting for you, yes. I'm envious", Jessi murmured after she was outdoors.

The incident some time ago when Jessi expressed her feelings to Abhimanyu is still recorded clearly. On the one hand, he can accept the decision of the kind man, but on the other hand, Jessi is actually quite difficult to really condition his heart.

"Ah, stop, Jessi. Move on so hard", he murmured again and chose to pass to immediately return to his room.

Saturday morning

Abhimanyu finished refreshing himself after dawn he jogged and exercised lightly at home.

Some of his mother's catering employees seemed busy milling around arranging various kinds of menus on the dining table and living room.

"It is not just a special guest, but it seems that what is coming is a great guest" whispered Abhimanyu's small heart.

He sat in the family room after picking up some fruit cakes served in the living room.

"Eh, let's start first", Ms. Ratmi came with two cups of warm tea.

"Sorry, Mom, Abi's hungry. This cake just looks so tempting", replied Abhimanyu before putting the fruit cake into his mouth.

Ms. Ratmi smiled, she sat down next to her beloved son.

"Son, I'm gonna ask you something, okay?"

"Of course, Mom. I replied if I could", Abhimanyu said casually.

Ms. Ratmi smiled faintly, she took a breath, "Mother is not good at small talk, son. I'd like to ask you, when are you planning to get married?".

Uhuk..

Abhimanyu chokes. Ms. Ratmi immediately gave her a cup of warm tea that she had just served on the table.

"Geez, I'm sorry, mother's question surprised you", Ms. Ratmi stroked her son's back.

After Abhimanyu could control himself, he looked at his mother.

"It's okay, Mom. I was too excited to eat this cake", Abhimanyu reasoned even though he knew his mother had understood the surprising question.

"Do you want to have a daughter-in-law?", Abhimanyu asked.

Ms. Ratmi smiled faintly, "Of course. Which mother does not want to see her son marry, have a wife, and give grandchildren? mother's age is getting older, sometimes I think I have a chance or not to see you married".

Abhimanyu held the mother's hand, "God must have allowed the mother to see Abi married. Pray for Abi, Mom. It's not easy for Abi to find a companion".

Abhimanyu smiled faintly, for a moment his memory floated on Anika's figure but ah, he tried to forget that figure because it was clear Anika was someone else's.

"Nothing, Ma'am", replied Abhimanyu in short.

"Oh so. Son, I don't mean to coerce or oppose your choice if you have a choice. But if there is no one close to you yet and you don't mind, will you be a matchmaker?", again, Ms Ratmi spoke very carefully.

Abhimanyu was silent for a moment. I don't know what's on his mind right now. Hearing the mother's words, one side of his heart was filled, he understood the meaning of his mother's words, but on the other hand Abhimanyu was confused to respond how.

"Mom, mother is the one who knows Abi the most. Regarding the matchmaking that mother talked about, Abi had no reason to refuse. Abi believes that whoever I choose for Abi is definitely the best" Abhimanyu replied earnestly.

Ms. Ratmi smiled happily, she stroked the head of her beloved son.

"Assalamualaikum", came the sound of someone coming.

"Waalaikumusalam. Son, looks like the guest we've been waiting for has arrived. Let's welcome" Ms. Ratmi asked.

Abhimanyu nodded his head and walked with his mother.

"Good day, ma'am", said a woman who was now standing in front of Ms Ratmi and Abhimanyu. He kissed the back of the house.

The woman looked graceful wearing a long blue floral dress that she combined with a matching color hijab.

"Good day, son. Come on in", take Ms. Ratmi friendly.

"Thank you" replied the woman kindly. He glanced slightly at Abhimanyu and smiled faintly.

Abhimanyu was still stunned in his place. It turns out that the special guest that her mother told her was Anika.

"Please sit down, son. I'm gonna grab a drink for a second. Oh yes, Abi, sit down, accompany our guest", Ms Ratmi looked at her still stunned son beside the door.

"Oh, i.iya, ma'am", Abhimanyu replied.

He immediately sat himself on the sofa opposite Anika. The atmosphere turned stiff. Abhimanyu didn't know what to say.

"How are you, Bi? my arrival here must have surprised you, yes", Anika opened her voice.

"My news is good, how about you? yeah, very surprising. The last time we met about two months ago was at the wedding of Jaka and Laras", Abhimanyu responded.

Anika nodded her head while smiling.

"Good news. Yes, we haven't seen each other in a long time".

From behind the wall of the living room, the incense of Bu Ratmi heard a stiff conversation between Abhimanyu and Anika. He could only smile at the situation.

Silent mood. Just a glimpse of the opening conversation that occurred between Anika and Abhimanyu. Now the two are back in their minds.

"Lho, how about being quiet like this? come on, tasted the dishes", the arrival of Bu Ratmi broke the silence between Abhimanyu and Anika.

Second darkest. Anika accepted Bu Ratmi's offer and the two now seemed to have a small talk. Ms. Ratmi asked about the development of Anika's boutique and convection. While Abhimanyu, he chose to be a spectator only, enjoying the familiarity of the woman he once loved with his mother.

"Oh yeah, Mom, I almost forgot. This is a little parcel that I brought for mom", Anika handed over the paper bag that she brought.

"Oh, why bring all the parcels. Thank you", replied Ms. Ratmi happily accepting the parcel.

Anika smiled kindly, "Just a little, Mom. May mother and Abhimanyu like her" Anika said again as she glanced slightly at Abhimanyu who smiled at her.

"Thank you" said Abhimanyu.

Anika answered him with a nod of her head.

After the small talk was over, Ms. Ratmi invited Anika and Abhimanyu to enjoy lunch together.

There were more than ten special menus that Bu Ratmi deliberately prepared today.

"Come, enjoy lunch. I want Nak Anika and Abi to eat a lot because this is a special cooking mom for you. Don't hesitate", Ms. Ratmi with full hospitality and warmth entertained Anika.

Lunch together went well. The previous stiffness slowly melted when Bu Ratmi managed to reacquaint Anika and her son.
