Dad's Reproval
Morning at the Nico residence.
Cynthia wakes up earlier than usual, and is seen talking seriously with her father Nico at the dinner table, where Nico sips coffee made by his wife Lestari. Nico made the mangosteen hear Cynthia's story about last night's events. Nico didn't know it because he was already asleep when it happened. In front of Cynthia Nico put on a relaxed face as if not too concerned about the events of last night in the story of Cynthia.
Leon who just came out of his room with a neat appearance looked suspiciously at Cynthia talking so seriously to her father.
Be aware of Leon's presence and get a suspicious look. Cynthia ended her conversation with Nico. He wanted to go into his room. He walked past Leon with his ease. But as his body passed by Leon, Leon clutched Cynthia's arm.
"What are you talking about with Dad, are you complaining about last night to Dad, SAY!" said Leon with a sharp gaze like the gaze of a hungry lion wants to eat its prey.
"It's none of your business Bang" Cynthia replied throwing her gaze aside.
"If you're right to complain to Dad and make Daddy mad at Jessica. You're in big trouble Cynthia!" leon said with great emphasis.
"What do you mean bang?" ask Cynthia.
"I mean, with your attitude like this constantly on Jessica, just like you're digging your own grave, it's Cynthia I don't want anything bad to happen to you" leon's words make Cynthia clueless, but Leon's words can scare Cynthia.
"Bang, I don't understand at all what you mean Bang" Cynthia said.
"You managed to destroy Jessica's relationship with Leon, you managed to put her down but now whatever your attempt to hurt your own sister will never succeed Cynthia will instead be a time bomb to you, change and don't pretend you don't understand. The guy you saw talking to me last night wasn't just any Cynthia. She could crush you like a dust grain if you tried to hurt Jessica even though you were her older sister. Take good care of my words!" leon told Cynthia. After finishing his speech Leon released the grip of his hand on his sister's arm and went to sit together with his father on the dining table chair.
"Why are Bang Leon's words so scary. How is this where I've been talking to dad. Die me!" inner Cynthia.
Cynthia went into her room, along with Jessica who had just come out of her room. Cynthia stared at Jessica's puffy face as if she had been crying all night. Jessica did not care about Cynthia's gaze She preferred to ignore it and not greet the older sister who did not like it. He stepped out of the dining room to join Nico and Leon.
"Good morning Dad, good morning Bang" Jessica said as she shifted the chair at the dinner table.
"Where's Dad?" ask Jessica to Nico.
"In the bathroom." answered Nico briefly.
"What time did you come home last night?" ask Jessica Nico.
"Dad ask me or ask bang Leon?" jessica asked who did not understand her father was asking who because he did not mention his name at the beginning of his sentence.
"Dad asked you Jessica" replied the father with a sharp look at her son's face.
"I came home late at about 11 p.m." Jessica replied honestly.
"Where did you come home that late? I don't think there is a company that hires part-time employees like you until that late" Nico said in a high tone.
"Today I didn't work dad. My brother and I took a photo together at Claudia Boutique with my two best friends. I went home to eat first with my friends because the streets were so crowded yesterday so I got home at that hour." Jessica replied honestly.
"Why is your face so swollen like that, are you crying?" ask Nico about Jessica's face.
"Yes dad." Jessica replied.
"Do you cry about last night?" nico asks again, Jessica is surprised Nico found out about last night's incident.
"Yes Dad." Jessica replied with a bow to her face avoiding Nico's sharp gaze.
"Brugh.." the sound of the dining table being hit hard by Nico.
"Dad was very disappointed in you. Why is there such a commotion in front of our house? You're embarrassing Jessica. You shouldn't have cultivated that love of yours. Are you proud of being fought over by them huh? You're glad they fought because of you?" ask Daddy with a high tone.
"Leon, why are you fighting instead of separating them? You're not ashamed of your neighbors, are you?" nico asked Leon with a sharp look at Leon who was sipping coffee in his hand.
"I'm just doing my job as a big brother protecting his sister from a bad man, to hell with Dad's neighbor's response" Leon replied casually.
"What do you mean Leon, Fabian is such a good person why are you talking like that? We live next door to Leon. Prioritize your shame." asked Nico to the boy.
"On what basis did you say Fabian was good? Dad doesn't know him and I never investigate who's close to Dad's daughter. I never asked what really happened to my kids. What are they going through out there? Dad is just busy with his own father's world and I prefer to be busy responding to the neighbors' words rather than responding to the feelings of the father's children" Leon said in a rising tone
"Leon watch your words!!!" nico Benthic.
"Dad, Brother just don't go on. I was wrong I'm sorry. Because I'm gonna have a fight." Jessica asked the two.
"Silence you are Jessica! It's all because of your fault. Can you not cause trouble in this house? You see now Cynthia is pregnant because of your ex-boyfriend! now Leon dares to fight Dad too because he's defending you. It's always related to you. You're causing trouble in this family right now." Nico snapped, blaming it all on Jessica.
Jessica covered her mouth with both hands while listening to Nico's words to her. He was crying so much. He breezed away without touching the breakfast that mother had prepared for him. A glass of warm chocolate milk is a must-eat breakfast for Jessica, who has never been missed and today must be missed by her due to the commotion orchestrated by Cynthia.
Leon glanced at the glass of milk that had not been touched by Jessica. Then Leon stood up from his seat chasing Jessica's steps. He knew very well that his brother needed him very much.
"It's not supposed to be me saying that to Jessica, you just add to the wound in her heart. I don't know what Cynthia told you, until you can be like this" Leon told Nico before he passed away leaving Nico standing there. Nico dropped himself sitting back on the chair.
Leon chased after Jessica who ran out of the house. Leon pulls Jessica's hand and stops Jessica's footsteps.
"Where are you going?"ask Jessica about Leon.
"I want to go to work bang." replied Jessica.
"this long? you still want to work for his company after last night?" leon asked his brother.
"I'm under a contract to work bang, I have to finish my contract to work bang." Jessica replied.
"All right, brother will take you. From today, brother will take you. Brother will not let you go alone or picked up by others let alone Fabian" Leon told Jessica. Leon took his brother's hand to get into his car. They left together and missed their morning meal. Because they do not touch at all the mother's dishes that are already available at the dining table.
Mother who just came out of the room looking for the whereabouts of her two children.
"Leon is Jessica where's Dad?" ask Lestari for her husband.
"It's gone" Dad replied briefly, Dad's face looked wrinkled.
"Why go without breakfast first? I'm tired of cooking but not eating, haduhh Jessica also has not drank her milk surely she will drown all day without drinking milk." lestari lamented.
"Mom let them go. They are adults do not always continue to spoil them." said Nico with his tangled face.
"What's going on dad why does dad's face look that tangled?" tanya Lestari but Nico who was asked instead breezed out of the house.
"Father had scolded Jessica ma'am for last night's incident, and dad had a fight with Bang Leon" Cynthia answered Lestari's question to her husband. Actually Lestari also saw the commotion last night behind her window. But Lestari chose to be quiet because she believed in Leon's only son that could solve the problem experienced by her sister Jessica.
"Are you the one who told me about Thia last night?" ask Lestari to Cynthia.
"Yes mom. I told you." Cynthia replied guiltlessly.
"Why are you doing that Cynthia? should have let mom alone pass it on to your dad, you have no end in hurting your own sister Cynthia. I don't think about you. How very you Cynthia. You really upset me" said Lestari, then left Cynthia alone in the dining room.
