#5.On the night of the party
The coffee served by aunt Elly is almost gone. But Marinka didn't come down.
"Geez lady.. How long does it actually take to get dressed". Marvin's grumbling is upset.
"Marinka hasn't gone down yet Marvin? ". Ask Mr. Louis to approach Marvin.
" I don't know uncle can-can when we come we will double as a janitor, because the party is finished ".
Mr. Louis smiled." Be patient a little more, women are like that. I heard from your uncle last night you had a fight? What's the problem huh?. Is it about work? ".

For a moment Marvin was stunned to look at Marinka. Until it doesn't blink. His heart suddenly raced a hit.

" Sorry Marvin.. I made you wait a long time ". Marinka said it was bad.
Marvin cleared his feelings.
" You made me faint on purpose waiting for you. Come on, the party's about to start.

Marvin got in the car first. Repeatedly pressing the horn.

The rest was just a silence created in the car. 30 minutes later the car had stopped at a star hotel owned by Mr. Daniel's family. Many important people came.
From a distance Marinka sees Thomas and his family also coming. A sense of tightness suddenly overwhelms Marinka.
"You all right? Marvin asked, knowing that Marinka was starting to feel uncomfortable finding herself in the same place as Thomas's family.
"No, I'm fine ". Answer Marinka briefly.
" Is he still upset with me. Since yesterday's incident I feel Marinka looks more sensitive ". Marvin's mind was watching his best friend.
The party went so well. Mr. Daniel is a famous businessman. The company is everywhere. So many business partners were invited to the event.
After meeting Mr. Daniel and congratulating him. Marinka and Marvin head to the park to enjoy live music with other guests while chatting.
While talking to some of his acquaintances, Marinka caught a figure he knew very well. Thomas and Emily. Marinka was about to dodge but was caught off guard.
"Hi Marinka how are you. Long time no see ". Thomas said as he hugged Marinka. However, Marvin was quickly arrested and pushed slowly to stay away from Marinka.
" oh hay Marvin it turns out you're here too ". Sapa Thomas was stale after knowing Marvin was there.
Thomas observes Marinka with a frightening look with a thin grin that is barely visible. It was as if she was going to strip Marinka at that moment. Then his gaze turned out to be up to Marvin's eyes which turned out at that time to catch her wet.
" what did your girlfriend say about my friend? ". Marvin asked coldly, but did not take his eyes off Thomas
" Nothing.just I heard she's a woman who likes to approach rich men, to hitchhike. And I like to ask for luxury. Is that true Miss Marinka? ". Emily said cynically.
" I don't need to approach a rich man just to survive. Or even to buy some branded bags like the one you're holding, Miss Emily ". Marinka said full of emphasis, no less cynical while glancing at the handbag that was on Emily. Emily's face was red.

" No, Dania. How's it going? When did you come? ". Sapa Marinka melts the atmosphere. Hugging his best friend's lover.
" I just came this afternoon. Good news Marinka". He said as he returned Marinka's embrace.
"ehemmmm... Are you Marvin's girlfriend? I'm Emily Thomas' future wife. It's nice to meet you ". Emily said stale while extending a hand.
" I'm Dania, nice to meet you ". Said Dania smiling back Emily's hand.
" all right... It's time we left. Please have fun ". Thomas said as he hugged Emily's waist. Marinka's eyes were staring at that. It felt like only a matter of days he really saw a drastic change in his former lover.
" why not from earlier. Quickly go ". Said Marvin seeing the change in Marinka's face.
" You're in a hurry, Mr. Marvin. Without you telling us to leave ". Then the couple passed.. Just two steps Emily turned around.
" Miss Dania.. ".
" yes.. ". Feeling called he turned towards the voice.

Dania nodded" Tomorrow I have an appointment with my friend to talk about my newly opened boutique. I'm afraid I'm late to wake up. I have to leave in the morning ". Flat talk.
Marvin was wrong. Suddenly he was confused when he had to face his friend and lover. He couldn't have taken Marinka with him. But he also couldn't possibly leave her.
" Take Dania home Marvin. I can go home on my own" said Marinka as if she knew what Marvin was thinking. And Dania can read that. And somehow that upset him a little.
