41. Emotion

Marvin guides Marinka into Mr. Louis' house. It seemed that aunt Elly welcomed her with the sweetest smile. Though she wanted to cry, aunt Elly held her back. Didn't want to make Marinka worse. But it is different from the view of Mr. Louis. He was clearly disappointed. His gaze at the child and daughter-in-law implied such deep disappointment.

"Darling you've come? ". Hello aunt elly warm while continuing to kiss the cheek of her master's child.

" Yes aunt, I miss you so much ". Marinka said while hugging aunt Elly tightly. Then he turned to look at his papa. Marinka knew that her father was very sad. He dreamed of a grandchild. But the dream ran aground. Her father may have been hurt because Marinka was dishonest about her pregnancy. And his papa learned of his grandson's whereabouts when his grandson was gone, just like Marvin.

Mr. Louis also knew about the proximity of Marvin and Arina. That made him furious as if he wanted to hit Marvin who had injured his favorite daughter. Marvin is negligent of his promise, Marvin neglects his duties as a husband. And that really disappointed him.

"I miss you papa ". Marinka said choked while bending over to hug her father who was still sitting in his wheelchair. Mr. Louis said nothing. He just rubbed Marinka's back. Marvin was about to come closer to say hello but Mr. Louis immediately broke Marinka's embrace and left the place. It was as if he was completely unwilling to talk to Marvin as a form of disappointment.

"rest, I also want to rest ". Said Mr. Louis and left the room. Marinka's chest seemed to want to explode seeing the attitude of her father. In Marinka's life she only saw the disappointed face of her father twice. The first was during the commotion at Mr. Daniel's party and the second was today.

Marvin who knew that could only sigh deeply. It feels so stifling. Marinka gets cold treatment because of her papa. If Marvin could control his anger that time, maybe everything would be fine. They will not lose their baby.

Marinka breaks her body. It felt like his head was throbbing again considering the attitude of his father who was too disappointed.

" Are you not hungry? You haven't eaten since we came this afternoon". Marvin said as he sat on the bed. Next to her hand she tucked Marinka's hair behind her ear.

" I'm not hungry yet, Marvin. You can eat first ". Marinka said slowly. Makes Marvin exhale rough. It felt like Marvin wanted to scream. All day he tried to do his best but it seems Marinka did not intend to invite him to really make peace.

He is just as tired. Lack of rest and have not eaten properly since Marinka was treated.

" All right, it's up to you. I apologized and did what I could. But it seems to be in vain ". His words are soft but Marinka can still hear it.

Hearing Marvin's words made Marinka's heart rustle in pain. He felt no tears in his closed eyes.

" I'm sorry to always bother you. You can leave me alone and do what you like. Don't mind me. I'm okay ". Say Marinka carefully. Marvin momentarily closed his eyes and inhaled a deep breath to ease his emotions. He had to get out of this room immediately so that he would not vent his emotions.

" You want me to not care about you? Well I grant you your wish ". Marvin said with great emphasis and then left the room leaving Marinka alone. Marinka was only able to sob after Marvin's departure.

" this won't work. Our relationship was complicated from the beginning. I'm not sure I can get through it ". Marinka Mumbles.

Marvin sat in the family room checking out the myriad of jobs he had left in recent days. Before long she found Marinka coming down the stairs slowly and then headed for the kitchen. Maybe he's hungry. Marvin looked at it briefly and then refocused on his work.

Marvin looked at Marinka. Apparently the woman wanted to enjoy bread with her favorite strawberry jam. But it seems like the woman had trouble opening the jar cover. Until tried opened many times but always seems to fail.

Marvin who saw it became anxious then walked closer to Marinka. He took the jar from Marinka's hand. It surprised the woman. And with one turn.. Tara's.... The bottle is open. Marinka just hung down.

Marvin then apply 3 sprigs of fresh bread and put on a plate that has been prepared Marinka. Cut it diagonally into small pieces to make it easy to eat.

" Sit down and eat ". Said Marvin coldly full of orders. I don't want Marinka to obey him.

Marinka sat awkwardly while putting the small piece of bread into her mouth. Marvin was making two glasses of warm milk. White milk is plain to her while brown to Marinka.

"drink ". Marvin spoke while pulling a chair across from Marinka. Marvin noticed the awkward attitude of Marinka who was eating in front of him.

" You can be mad at me, you can slap me. Do what you want to do. But don't shut me up ". Marvin said later after being unable to hold back his emotions.

" That doesn't need Marvin ". Marinka said slowly trying not to hurt Marvin's feelings.

" Don't need to say? You don't feel how tortured I am. Since yesterday you've been cold to me. You can do what you want. You can say everything you like and what you dislike. Don't hold it down "., Marvin's starting to lose his temper.

" You're my wife I'm your husband you deserve me. And don't shut me down. Do you really want us to be like this? They hurt each other. You don't want to fix this relationship? ". Marvin said a little emotional. Instantly Marinka slammed the fork she had used to eat. He stood with hunting breath and tears that had already been spilled. His gaze was staring at the direction of origin not looking at Marvin. Sometimes he removes his rough tears.

" I've tried it. But I can't be ordinary with you yet. I feel tormented every time I remember my baby. You know that". Marinka said a little scream. Maybe it was the first time in his life that he had expressed his emotions.

"You don't think I lost my son. Just imagine, I'm his father. A father knows his son's whereabouts the day he is gone. You never think of me. You always draw your own conclusions in the way you think. You never asked me about all your doubts. Then you still blame me? ". Marvin was just as yelling. It made Marinka tremble in fear and cry even more. Even the screams of the two reached the ears of Mr. Louis who was in his room. Hearing her two children screaming at each other broke her heart. He could only cry in silence. So did aunt Elly who also heard the quarrel clearly from inside her room.

" I didn't mean it. I am also guilty. I'm sorry ". Marinka said with great difficulty among her cries.

" You think it'll all end with an apology? I've apologized to you dozens of times, but you don't consider me. And now you're apologizing to me? But I don't think you mean what you say. You purposely let our relationship drift apart. Do you want us to end up like this? ". Marvin yelled starting to get out of control.

"Stop...!". Marinka sat her body back trembling while continuing to cover both her ears with her palms.

"Just Marvin stop ". He begged. His face returned. Body shaking. Marinka has not fully recovered. He has to rest a lot and should not be depressed. She's been traumatized since the baby died. Marvin who saw that immediately cursed his stupidity.

Oh.. Damnit... Marvin approached Marinka. Hugging the body of his wife who was sitting trembling.

"I'm sorry I overstepped the mark. I didn't mean to scream at you. I'm sorry ". His words were full of regret as he continued to kiss the top of Marinka's head. And continuing to rub the woman's arm gave her calmness.

" Don't be like this, it hurts. Don't be like this. Don't leave me Marvin. Give me time to feel my feelings. ". The mess is still with eyes closed and fear of abandonment.

" My promise is still the same. I'm not leaving you ". Marvin's whisperer was sincere.
