49. Marry me

Marvin's scheduled vacation ended a few days ago. But he just worked today. He was reluctant to go to the office. He still faithfully holds Marinka's body in his arms.

"Are you not working anymore? ". Ask Marinka.

" I don't know, I'm so lazy. But surely Leo will scold me again ". Marvin pa rau said that people wake up.

" Wake up, work today. Don't be lazy. Or your employees will follow your laziness. I'll also be working today ". Marinka said while stroking her husband's hair right in front of her face.

" All right, I'll take a shower soon. Can you get me breakfast? ". Ask Marvin softly.

Marvin rushed to clean himself up. A few minutes later Marvin was ready with his work clothes on. Suddenly his phone rang.

" Yes Leo.. ". Answer Marvin lazily.

" I'm waiting for you at the office. It's about Arina ".

" Don't mess up my morning, you know I don't care about him. So you don't talk about it in front of me ". Marvin was getting upset.

" He's being held now ".

" What? Arina held captive? Who pe__".

Marinka is seen opening the door to her room. Slightly surprised to see Marvin who suddenly disconnects his phone nervously.

"Call from whom? ". Marinka asked full of questions.

" Nobody, this is from Leo ". Marvin answered nervously.

" Come on, baby, you can check my phone. Look at the name still on here ". Marvin showed Marinka his phone screen. It's true that there's a Leo name there.

" All right, you get down. I'll get ready first ". Marvin nods. Then down for breakfast.

Marvin rushed to his room. The greetings from his employees were ignored in order to meet Leo in his room. When the door opened Marvin found Leo sitting on his couch in his study.

" What did you mean this morning?". Marvin asked and sat his body on one side of the sofa.

"I accidentally saw it, when I was about to go to your apartment. There was a man carrying her unconscious and I followed him. And it turns out it was Jimy's man.

"Jimy? ".

" Yes, Jimy. He is Mr. Andrew's personal assistant. I don't know what happened until Arina got caught up in a problem like this ".

" How many days has Arina been held? ". Marvin asked worried.

" Nearly five days, I had one of my men stand guard at that place. To this day Arina is still there ". Obviously Leo.

" Where was he held captive? ".

" Used factory warehouse, far from here. It takes an hour to get there. It is far from the city ".

" Why don't you let go? ". Marvin asked annoyed.

Cold water hit Arina's face. The girl looked pale with her lips wound and bruises on her cheeks. The slap that Jimy gave some time ago is still there. Arina hissed feeling the pain all over her body.

I don't know how many days he's been tied up here. Nor does Arina know what Jimy really wants. If only he had chosen to live. If he had not been tempted by the luxury Mr. Andrew offered. Maybe he won't experience this. And maybe he won't be a household bully either.

"Open your eyes?! ". Jimy's orders. Arina was still reluctant to open her eyes even though her ears were sharp enough to hear Jimy's orders. " At least follow my orders. Have you eaten yet? ". Jimy asked then crouched down and removed the straps on Arina's hands and feet.

" Don't be so good to me. I don't like ". Said Arina coldly.

" I've been kind enough to offer a decent life. But you yourself refused and chose to live here ".

"You think which woman would marry a mean man like you?you have no feelings and now you're begging for love? Oh, that's embarrassing". Arina said boldly. Makes Jimy clench his hands.

"How dare you judge me. Who do you think you are? ". Jimy said.

" I'm the only woman who's rejected you among the thousands of women who want you. Do you understand ". Shouted Arina.

One loud slap landed again on Arina's cheek. Make Arina fall. One bullet of Arina's tears fell back he rubbed it rough making Jimy rustle. Why could he be this cruel when clearly he wanted this girl in front of him.

"I'm sorry ". Jimy said. Arina turned around in disbelief. Since when did the monster man turn out to be good. Jimy left the place before long he returned with a small white box containing drugs.

" Come here, let me cure your wounds ". Jimy's words softened.

" No need, I can do it myself ".

" Don't argue and be quiet ". Jimy started applying some medicine on the corners of Arina's bruised lips and cheeks. Arina hissing withstanding the pain.

" Is it really painful? ".

" A pretty stupid question ". Replied Arina upset.

" Can you be sweet? ".

" Can you please not arrange me? ". Arina sharpens. Jimy just sighed tiredly.

" I mean it with my words. Marry me. I don't know how to talk to you anymore. But I mean it. I'll protect you from Mr. Andrew".

"You're a weird guy, you proposed to a girl by torturing her like this. Do you think I'll take it? ". Said Arina steady.

" Alright, I'll let you go, but you have to stay with me. My apartment. Only there's a safe place ". Jimy said firmly. Arina seemed to think and then nodded.

" I'll pretend to accept, the important thing is I can get out of here ".

Arina nodded in agreement. The flat-faced man finally left from there after promising to take him away from the place tomorrow.
