10. Don't be so good

Marvin was surprised not to play. Found Marinka not in the car. Oh, my God, where is he. He tried to contact her but her phone was not active. Finally Marvin tried to call Marinka's house.

"Hello aunt elly... Is Marinka home already ".

" Yes, he just got into the room. He ate first. He said he was hungry. He came in a pale state. Where else did you leave him?.. Aunt elly's words were so cold. Marvin doesn't know what else to say.

" introduce me... Looks like it's fun to play around with a girl who's still innocent". Eric laughed loudly.

Marvin is upset. Keep your word you criminal. Makes Eric more laugh to see his best friend put on a scary face.

"If I introduce you then my problems will multiply. I know what your history is with girls. Where could I give Marinka to you". Marvin is at length. Eric just chuckled at his best friend.

"I wonder what he looks like. Is she pretty.. Huh uh? ". Temptation Eric.

" it's quiet. Don't talk about it ". Marvin's words made Eric grow stifling. Marvin can only grumble indistinctly.

Eventually they switched to discussing the employment contract they had planned. They talk until night. Marvin finally ended the meeting. He remembered not visiting Marinka.

They also split up according to their respective goals.

When he was about to go to Marinka's house Marvin accidentally passed the cake shop. She remembers Marinka loves tiramissu cake. Finally Marvin went down to buy Marinka's favorite cake. The girl loves sweet and savory food.

"Marinka's still asleep... ". Aunt elly replied as Marvin asked her whereabouts.

" Has she eaten?".

"It's been... Even very greedy. Like a man who hasn't eaten in a year ". Aunt elly's words were full of emphasis.

" I offered him a meal outside but he didn't want to ". Marvin said slowly he felt guilty.

" where are you going? Why did he come home in a taxi? ".

" In the middle of the road Dania called me bi.. I have a little business. When I got back he wasn't there". Obviously Marvin.

"Always.... ". Aunt elly then passed. For God's sake, his head was about to explode. Think of some work that requires him to concentrate fully. Thinking of Dania who is now more chatty. Marinka is now like away from him. Now plus the unfriendly aunt Elly again.

Finally he left there following Mr. Louis who was relaxing in the back garden on the side of the kitchen.

" I'm so hungry.. ". Marinka then got out of bed. Time shows at 10 p.m. Jeez all day he's exhausted to sleep. Marinka walked slowly down the stairs to the kitchen. He was looking for something to eat. Then his eyes sparkled to see that there was a box of cookies at the table of eating. Aromamya instantly pierced his sense of smell.

" tiramissu.... ". He said happily while taking a small plate to put down the pieces of cake.

Three pieces...

He ate his favorite cake very well.

" You're awake, baby... ". Hello aunt elly who suddenly appeared.

" yes aunt.. I'm hungry". He said while shaming. "Where's dad? ".

"In the back garden with Marvin ". Aunt elly said and sat down. Marinka reflexes. And pulled the cake spoon from his mouth slowly.

" Yes... He's been here since. Maybe about two hours. She's waiting for you".Obviously aunt elly while glancing noticed the change in the look of Marinka's face.

"You're awake, baby... ". Greet Mr. Louis who appeared from the side door of the kitchen.

" it's papa... ". He answered with a sweet smile. But it faded away when he saw Marvin emerging from the back of his papa.

" Do you need anything? ".

" No papa.. I was enjoying my favorite tiramisu cake. Aunt Elly bought it ". He was happy like a child who was given candy. While continuing to put some pieces of cake into his mouth.

" Auntie didn't buy it. Marvin brought it for you ". Obviously aunt elly.

Marinka stopped eating. Put down his spoon and push his cake plate which left 3 small pieces. Marvin stared pushyly. Marinka acts like a child.

" Spend dear.. You like it ". Said Mr. Louis.

" No papa I'm full ". He said then sipped white water in front of him to the toilet. Move over. Then turned.

" Next time don't come, I can see my own doctor check my legs. And one more... Don't bring me anything. I don't like the cake you brought". Said cold. Marvin stared intently at Marinka's eyes. He doesn't know what he's been through today.

He chose to wait for her here to ignore her drowsiness, fatigue and hunger in order to see her condition.

"Marinka....". Sent Mr. Louis and aunt Elly together.

Marinka was surprised to tremble but tried to act calm.

"don't act disrespectfully. Marvin was waiting for you from earlier to see how you were. Your attitude is so insolent Marinka ". Said Mr. Louis angry.

" I didn't ask him papa, he came alone. Oh yeah one more don't be so nice to me. I don't want to get into trouble with Dania later on ".

Thats enough.... Marvin's patience is over...

" all right... If that's what you want, I'm tired too. Who do you think you are, can do as you please. You're like a child. I won't come even if you ask. You said you didn't like this cake. All right, I'll throw it away".Marvin tidied up the cardboard cake and the old Marinka plate and threw it in the trash.

Aunt Elly and Mr. Louis were surprised not to see Marvin. Marvin was never angry. Any anger he can hold back. They just look at each other. Marinka was scared.

"If you're not satisfied you can spit out what you eat". Marvin said to leave. Then turned around for a moment staring at aunt Elly and Lord Louis alternately.

Their faces looked hurt and sad. How not. Marvin and Marinka have been together since childhood. They depend on each other and tonight they fight.

Marvin approaches aunt Elly and Mr. Marvin. Then hold their hands.

"Uncle, aunt, I'm sorry. Maybe I'm overreacting. But I've tried my best. I've apologized but your daughter won't understand. Maybe after tonight I'll rarely visit ". Marvin. It looks like aunt Elly wiped the corner of her eye. Mr. Louis's eyes glazed over at the young man in front of him who was like his son.

" I'm sorry. I'm sorry". His voice trembled while looking at Marinka who was also equally affected. Marvin disappeared from his sight.

Mr. Louis looked at Marinka disappointed. While aunt Elly could only stare in concern. Both men left the place.

There were no tears of Marinka. Marinka closed her eyes.
