CHAPTER 8

Tora Sin is next to Sherly Lee. He was very worried about the woman. Many times Tora checked her pulse, and thankfully it was back to normal. Tora is very sleepy as a result of not sleeping at all and finally she sleeps next to Sherly.

Two hours later Sherly opened her eyes, surprised by the breathing apparatus and the infusion tube on her body. And also one hand held by someone. Sherly tries to remember the events of last night and is shocked when those memories come back. Ferdinan almost killed him and someone helped him. Sherly looked at who was holding her hand. A man who fell down and fell asleep. Sherly could not see her face because she looked down but her posture was very similar to that of Tora Sin.

Sherly tried to get up slowly, her movements made the man wake up. And sure enough, it was Tora Sin.

"You're conscious. What the hell are you doing? You can't get up first." said Tora.

"I'm fine, thank you brother. So you helped me." replied Sherly.

"No problem, it's my job to protect you, Sher. I'll call the doctor." Tora said.

Sherly just nodded. But he noticed the traces of blood on Tora's shirt. Sherly tried to think, and came back surprised. The man struck Ferdinan with his injured hand. It must be very painful. A few minutes later, Tora and the doctor came in. Doctor examined.

"Thank God it's stable, Tora, I'll take off the breathing apparatus." Jack started releasing the oxygen device.

"Thank you Jack." said Tora.

"You need to get your hands checked out, Tora. If the infection is very dangerous." Jack said.

"You're so chatty, I'm fine." replied Tora.

"Basic stubborn Inspector. Well, I have another assignment. Miss Sherly take care of your health." said Jack and left the ward.

"Thank you doctor." Sherly replied and got a nod from Jack.

Sherly turned to look at Tora. "I'm sorry, brother, because I'm getting hurt again" he said.

"Who said it was because of you Sher, it was my job to protect you and the community. Don't talk about it. I'm fine, the stitches just miss a little." said Tora. "Oh yes, there will be a police officer who will ask for information about the man. You're the main witness and the victim. Tell me the truth, put him in jail." Tora continued.

"Is Ferdinan arrested?" ask Sherly.

"Of course, he will be exposed to layered chapters. I'll make sure he gets the right punishment for what he did. I won't let that jerk get away with it." replied Tora.

"It's just my emotions, he's been so good to me" Sherly said.

"Omong empty, that man who was with you for 7 years right, he never appreciated you that long how he could be a good man." Tora's upset.

Sherly surprised. "How did Tora know she was my lover for 7 years?" ask Sherly.

Tora gulped her saliva, she couldn't possibly reveal it now if she'd been following Sherly for 10 years and kept looking for information about him. "Of course Sher's interrogation, the man has been questioned by the police. So I know." Tora replied lying.

"Oh sister Tora is right, you're an inspector of course you know everything." Sherly said.

"You rest it's still very early Sher, I'll wake you up if the police come." Tora ordered.

Sherly nodded and began to close her eyes again as she was still sleepy.

Tora to the sofa in the room and she closed her eyes there.

Ario took Tora's change of clothes, he remembered that Tora's clothes were covered in blood. But he's confused how to take Sherly's change of clothes. There was no way he could have entered his house without permission. There was no job this morning. So Ario approached Tora to the hospital. Tora borrowed some clothes from his wife for Sherly.

"You think I can cheat and sacrifice my job. You always talk shit baby, I just love you and the kids." Ario kissed his wife.

"You borrowed my shirt, it was very special for the woman" Ica said again.

Ario whispered something to Ica. "really? So..."

"Sssstttt.this is a secret dear, Tora has not been willing to reveal it." said Ario cut off his wife's speech.

"Based on stupid single men, please tell her baby, don't take too long. If again the woman is taken by another man, he will regret 2 times" said Ica.

"I've warned him dear, I see this time Tora is very persistent" Ario said with a chuckle.

"You don't keep teasing Ario, you're so happy to do that." Ica reminded.

"Alright lady Ario, it's time I leave now. Thank you for the shirt." said Ario as he stepped out.

"Not to be returned, it's a new dress for the woman." cried Ica.

"Thank you dear." Ario replied as he got into his car and headed to the hospital.

Tora wakes up when two police officers enter the room. Both of them paid their respects to Tora.

"The patient is still in shock, so don't ask too many questions." Tora orders before waking up Sherly.

"Ready man." answered both at the same time.

Tora woke Sherly up gently. The woman woke up. Minutes later, police officers began to question him about Ferdinan's assault on him. Tora continues to be next to Sherly. Tora was relieved and satisfied by Sherly's reply to the police. He revealed all the things that would incriminate Ferdinan.

"Thank you, Miss Sherly, we'll call you back if that's necessary" one of the policemen said.

Sherly just nodded. The two saluted Tora and left.

"How do you feel after saying it, is it so relieved?" ask Tora.

"I'm satisfied, brother, I just realized that all this time I've been used by him." replied Sherly.

Tora nodded and picked up the tray of food provided from the hospital. "It's time to eat, let me feed you" said Tora.

Sherly shakes. "No need, brother, I can do it myself" he replied.

"With infusion in your hand? You don't argue with Sher, you just need to open your mouth." Tora's orders can't be denied.

"Alright." replied Sherly giving up.

Ario watched the scene from outside. Tora really likes Sherly, the assertive man can be very gentle when with the woman. Ario just smiled while waiting for them outside to finish.
