CHAPTER 15

Ario with doctor Jack suddenly rushed inside. Doctor Jack immediately examined Tora's hand. The silence happened for a while as they focused on Tora's hand treatment.

"Find out the black-plated avanza car***, the driver of the car was trying to hit Sherly." Tora orders Ario.

"I'll look for him, but you and Sherly are okay, right?" ask Ario.

Tora nodded. "Did I not look okay?" tanyakanya.

"You're not okay, Tora. You really want to lose your hand." said Dr. Jack.

Tora kicks Jack's doctor's leg and sees Sherly sobbing again.

"I'm just kidding Miss Sherly, Tora's hand is fine. The wound was only slightly open." Jack's doctor assured. He forgot there was a Sherly here.

"You heard, right? I'm fine. Now bathe. You just got home from work, right?" tora's orders.

Sherly nodded and left the others.

"You're crazy, your stitches are open again" Jack said.

"I pulled Sherly's body as the car sped towards her. We fell and my hand fell on Sherly's body. But what I'm thinking isn't Jack's fucking hand. I believe the car was ordered by Ferdinan's men." said Tora.

"Still you have to look after him. You could really lose your hand if this stitch were to rot." Jack threatened.

"You scared me all the time Jack. Don't say anything in front of Sherly. The woman was very afraid of losing. I could see from his face when I saw my blood. Past trauma seems to still be felt." said Tora. Jack nodded.

Ario was busy with his phone. "Your guess is right Tora, the owner of the car is now at his headquarters. We just have to wait for the right time to catch them. My God, as long as you're not healed we won't do it." said Ario.

"I promise I'll get well soon and get Ario back on duty. Tomorrow I'll go to work." replied Tora.

"No Tora, wait another day. You're hurt again" said Ario.

"Ario's right, Tora, you have to make a full recovery and one more thing, I'm going to inject you to death if you try to consume alcohol while taking antibiotics." Jack threatened.

"Well, doctor, no more" promised Tora. "Do you want to have dinner together?" tanyakanya.

Both shakes. "I have an operation tonight." replied Jack.

"And I'm on duty." replied Ario.

"Thank you, and happy working again" said Tora.

Both return to their activities. "Greetings to your future wife, Inspector" Jack said, chuckling.

Tora just chuckled at hearing that.

Sherly had finished her bath and changed her clothes. "Where are the others?" ask Sherly as she approaches Tora.

"They're still a lot of work." answered Tora.

"Where are your clothes, I'll pick them up and help you change" Sherly said.

Tora shook her head. "I'm just hungry now" replied Tora.

"Well I'll cook something in the kitchen" Sherly replied.

"I've already cooked Sher, you'll just warm him up." Tora ordered.

"All right." Sherly steps into the kitchen and starts warming up her food.

Tora went upstairs and went into her room to change her own clothes. He doesn't want to keep bothering Sherly, the finger he keeps wearing his shirt.

A few minutes later, the two were at the dinner table.

"You can cook with your hands like this really great" Sherly said.

"Is Mr Darko very good at cooking?" ask Sherly.

Tora nodded. "Darko's the smartest cook on our team, he's so happy to be able to cook for me. I never refused anything she cooked. That's why he's so happy to do it." he replied.

Sherly nodded. "Thank God there are good people around you. I don't have to worry anymore" he said.

"Don't you want to know who wanted to hit you?" ask Tora.

"Don't say brother. I already know." replied Sherly.

"Now you know why I want to protect you. Don't be stubborn Sher, I'm your neighbor's security guard too. You want to be safe." Tora said.

Sherly nodded again. "I'm sorry, brother, if I made a mistake. Thank you for protecting me." she replied.

"It's my job, Sher, and I want to apologize to you for what happened last night. I shouldn't kiss you and judge your life." Tora said.

"Forget it, sister, just think of it as a mistake" Sherly replied.

It wasn't Sher's fault, I did it because I wanted you. Tora's heart said.

"I'll get Ario or Darko to pick you up for work" Tora said.

Sherly shakes. "No brother, I'll be taken to pick up my friend Mega."

"Don't argue. This is my order as a security guard" Tora said firmly.

"All right." replied Sherly.

They both enjoyed their dinner. Tora takes Sherly to the lounge and talks there.

"What brother did you have in Polantas about 10 years ago?" ask Sherly.

Tora nodded.

"Do you know of any fatal accident that happened to a family in cross-Sumatra?" ask Sherly again.

Tora squinted her eyes. Why did Sherly ask. "What's up Sher?" ask Tora.

"Actually I want to ask you something about the accident, brother. Actually that one family is my family." Sherly said.

"Continue." replied Tora, he did not want to tell Sherly everything.

"At that time there was a policeman who helped us, hospital fees even until my parents' funeral was on his charge. I just want to know who the good cop is. Can you find out the police on duty at the time?" ask Sherly again.

"What do you want to do when you meet him?" ask Tora.

"I want to thank him and give him back everything he gave back then, for 10 years I've been raising money to pay him back" Sherly replied.

"Is that all you have in mind?" ask Tora.

"Of course, I want something else. I just want to return the favor. Because it's the biggest debt of my life." Sherly replied again.

Tora hated what she was hearing now. It turned out that this woman's mind was only paying her debt.

"I'm getting tired, Sher, we should rest now" Tora said as she stood up.

"Can you help?" Sherly curious.

"We'll see." replied Tora, leaving Sherly upset.
