CHAPTER 14

Tora finally reached the gate of Sherly's house. He pushed the button many times but there was no answer. He only realized when he saw his garage there was no Sherly's car.

Where is this stubborn woman? ask Tora herself.

His head is getting pulsating. He was caught in front of the gate. Tora lowered her head.

I'm a stupid man, I'm doing something that's against the law. Fortunately I was on leave, I was drunk just because I regretted what I did. I haven't done this in years. Why do I show my bad side to the woman I love for 10 years, said Tora herself.

Both of his arms were raised by two people, it turned out that they were Ario and Darko. Tora was brought home. Ario and Darko took Tora straight into the bathroom. Ario doused his face with cold water.

"Beware, Inspector. If you're on duty, you'll be fired immediately. You're not usually weak in trouble." snapped Ario.

Tora slightly regained her senses and began to flush her body with the clothes still attached to her body. Ario really shouldn't be like this. He'll see Sherly when she gets home.

After she finished the shower. Tora's consciousness gradually recovered. He looked at his two friends who were still waiting for him. "I'm sorry." That's the first thing Tora said.

"Drink that soup, then have lunch. We're going home. When we finished our work, we did not return home. And later in the afternoon we have to be on duty again. Solve your problems with Tora's cold head. Tell me your true feelings. You've delayed it too long." said Ario, saying goodbye to go home.

"I also want to go home sir." continued Darko.

"Thank you, you guys have helped me a lot" Tora replied.

Tora drove the two home to the front of the house. "Tomorrow I'll come back, I'll cut my cut. My hands are fine too." said Tora.

"Ready man." answered both at the same time.

Tora went back to her house. He drank the wine soup Darko made and ate his lunch.

Sherly eats lunch with Mega, but she thinks back to Tora Sin. Has that man eaten? thought Sherly.

"You're eating while daydreaming Sher, what are you thinking?" ask Mega.

"No Meg, I'm enjoying my meal" Sherly replied.

"You think I'm a kid you can fool?" mega.

"Well Miss Mega, I thought about the policeman, he's still hurt, if he can eat now. And it was a mess this morning with a hangover" Sherly said.

"At last you're honest too, you're right to think about it. Are you starting to fall in love?" ask Mega.

"I'm empty, I just feel sorry for him. It's really upsetting my mind." Sherly replied.

"Can a cop get drunk too?" ask Mega again.

"I don't think so, but he's off duty. He was also drunk in his own home, not disturbing the peace of others." Sherly replied.

Mega chuckles. "You're defending him Sher. Admit it from your heart, if you've started to fall in love." teased Mega again.

"You keep teasing me Meg. I don't know why I'm like this. When I was with Ferdinan, I didn't feel Meg's worry. I only consider Ferdinan a man who can protect me." Sherly said.

"I wish a good man was with you Sher" said Mega.

"Amien." replied Sherly.

The two finished their lunch and then continued their work.

Tora is very agitated waiting for Sherly's return, he wants to apologize and ask Sherly to return to her home. He doesn't want Ferdinan's men to do anything that Tora doesn't want to do to Sherly. Another reason was so that Tora could get close to the woman. Tora doesn't want to wait any longer.

By 5pm, the woman had not returned. Tora's getting restless. He just remembered Sherly's business card. There's his cell phone number. Tora immediately picked up her phone and searched for the business card in her study drawer. The phone rings there waiting for an answer.

"Hello who is this?" ask Sherly.

"God, thank God you picked it up" said Tora.

"Why haven't you returned home yet? I'm worried about you." replied Tora.

Sherly's heart is racing. "I got stuck, maybe another half an hour until. Does your sister want to eat something? Let me buy it." asked Sherly.

"No, I was just waiting for you" Tora said.

"I'll be home soon, sister, but I'm sorry I can't be at your house" Sherly said.

"Omong empty Sher, you must remain under my protection. I'll pick you up if you don't come to my house." threatened Tora while turning off her phone.

Tora threw her phone in annoyance. Sherly was so stubborn and it was all her own fault.

Sherly let out her breath. The man gave the order. Sherly refocused on the road to her house.

Half an hour later, Sherly arrived at her house. He immediately went up and took enough clothes. This time he had to follow Tora's orders. Mega also suggests that until she is safe, she should stay with Tora.

The sound of footsteps frightened him. That move is getting closer to him.

"You're reckless Sher, you didn't close the gate and your house." snapped Tora.

"Oh my God, you're scaring me." replied Sherly.

"If not what am I?" tora asked furiously. "I've asked you, if it comes straight to my house." he snapped.

"I'll follow your orders, Inspector. I just picked up some clothes I needed while at your house" Sherly replied.

"That can be done later after you're with me." snapped Tora again.

Sherly's running out of patience. He's ruffled around the waist. "What exactly is sister? Why start managing my life. We just knew brother. I do need protection, but I don't have to be treated like a child." Sherly cried.

"For you we may have just known. But for me it's been more than 10 years" Tora said.

Sherly was surprised by the words Tora said. "What do you mean, brother?" tanyakanya.

"There is a time when I will explain. You're done, right? Now come with me back home." Tora ordered.

Sherly resentfully carries her bag and precedes Tora. As he exited the gate, he was shocked by Tora's scream.

"Sher, watch out." cried Tora as she pulled Sherly and fell by the side of the road. Tora groaned as her hand fell on Sherly's body.

"Oh my God, brother." Sherly immediately wakes up and lifts Tora's body. Blood dripped back from his hands. Sherly shook and immediately contacted Ario. Ario silently gave his mobile number to be easily contacted if something happened.

"Hello sir, what should I do? tora's arms are bleeding again." Sherly said hysterically.

Ario did not answer, his phone was dead.

"You don't cry Sher, I'm fine." Tora said.

Sherly takes Tora into the house. Sherly looks for a bandage cloth and starts cleaning Tora's wounds while crying.

"Don't cry. That's Sher's order." snapped Tora.

Instead of being quiet, Sherly cried even more. Tora hugged him. "I'm sorry sister." said Sherly.

"It's not your fault, Sher, calm down." Tora stroked Sherly's back.

Sherly nodded and began to calm down in Tora's arms.
