CHAPTER 16

Sherly can't sleep in her bed, she still wonders why Tora is so reluctant to tell about the man. Is that guy gone? thought Sherly.

Tora could not sleep anymore. He thought about the woman's words. If it was just returning the favor then the hope was very small to have it. He doesn't want to tell her now, he wants Sherly really interested in him. But that beautiful woman couldn't possibly want to be with him.

Tora came out of her room and into the kitchen, she was thirsty. While there he was shocked to death, the woman was also in the kitchen.

"Oh my God, haven't you slept?" ask Tora.

Sherly gasped and spouted a drink in her mouth and coughed. Tora immediately stroked Sherly's back. "Sorry I surprised you" said Tora.

"It's okay brother, I'm just thirsty" Sherly replied.

"Bring a drink to your room so you don't have to go up and down the stairs" Tora said.

Sherly shakes. "I rarely drink at midnight, it's because I just happen to be unable to sleep" she replied.

"I can't sleep either, will you accompany me to a movie?" ask Tora.

Sherly nodded. "Of course." she replied again.

Tora takes Sherly to the tv room, she sets up an action movie DVD. "If you don't like it you're looking for another DVD" Tora said.

"I like action movies too, even though I watch romantic movies more often" Sherly replied.

"In the drawer there is also a romantic movie" said Tora.

Sherly shakes. "This is it, it looks good."

Both of them were caught up in the movie they were watching. Many times Sherly unknowingly hugged Tora out of horror at her scene. Tora's heart kept beating with the rigors.

How could this woman do that without even knowing it, Tora thought.

He couldn't help it anymore, wanted to pull and kiss her. That's what Tora wants now. As the thought raged, the two were shocked to see the romantic scene in the movie.

Sherly gulps her saliva, only to realize that she is very close to Tora. Sherly pulls away but her waist is held back by Tora.

"It's not a mistake but I want you." whispered Tora and brought her lips closer to Sherly.

Sherly widened her eyes as Tora's lips touched her. Receiving a positive response, Tora began to kiss him passionately. Sherly moans as Tora bites her lip, and it becomes an opportunity for Tora to play with Sherly's mouth. Sherly enjoys every touch of Tora's to her. Tora further deepened her kiss by pulling the nape of Sherly's back neck.

Sherly's out of breath, Tora won't let go. "You're really sweet Sher." said Tora Parau without letting go of her kiss. After a few minutes, Tora pulled herself away. "That's the punishment for the woman who hugged me so many times" Tora said as she stroked Sherly's flushed face. "Don't think it's a mistake baby, I've wanted you for a long time" Tora said.

Sherly's confused. "What does brother mean?" tanyakanya.

"I like you Sher, I want you to be my girlfriend, not for my age now I want you to be my life partner" Tora said.

Sherly. "Then how's the woman you told me about, brother?" ask Sherly.

Tora chuckled while embracing Sherly's shoulder. "Will you be my girlfriend and companion?" ask Tora.

Sherly surprised. "Aren't you drunk?" ask Sherly.

"I'm drunk because of you Sher." Tora pulled Sherly's face and kissed her back. "I'm asking you, if you'd met the guy you're looking for, and you know that guy's still single. You will only pay your debts. Don't you want to consider being her lover?" ask Tora.

"That would not have been possible, brother, if the man was 33 years old and he was a policeman. She may be single" Sherly replied.

"I only wish you had forgotten I was single" Tora said.

"If he wants me. Maybe I'll consider it." Sherly replied again.

"Just to return the favor?" ask Tora.

"If you're with me, would you still consider it?" tora asked curiously.

Sherly chuckles. "Indeed who wants to be with sister." Sherly joked.

But Tora took it seriously. He let go of his embrace. "It looks like I'm overconfident, sorry" he said.

"Sister, I was just kidding. Of course I'll choose brother." replied Sherly.

"So?" Tora squinted her eyes.

"So?" ask Sherly back.

Tora was finally upset. He stood up "It's too late, sleep." he ordered as he walked to the DVD to turn it off.

"What is brother serious?" ask Sherly.

Tora nodded but would not look at Sherly, she was very embarrassed to be rejected.

"Do I have to give you an answer now?" ask Sherly again.

"Give up." answered Tora.

Sherly giggles until Tora notices her. "You're teasing me?" ask Tora.

"You're so sensitive, Inspector, is this the first time you've shot a woman?" ask Sherly.

"I often shoot criminals, but not with women" replied Tora flatly.

"I want you to be your girlfriend" whispered Sherly.

"What's? I didn't hear it." said Tora.

"I don't want to repeat it." Sherly replied as she ran up the stairs.

Tora's after. "Wait for Sher, you have to repeat it." Tora chases Sherly all the way to her room unconsciously.

"Why did you come in here anyway?" ask Sherly.

Tora swallowed his saliva. "Tell me one more time, I'll tell you about the man." he said.

Sherly's turned serious. "No promise, right? Alright. Sherly wants to be sister's boyfriend." she cried.

"Based on a bad girl." Tora pulled and hugged him. "Oh my God, I was really afraid of being rejected earlier." Tora kissed Sherly's face.

"It's time to go to bed, tomorrow I'll tell you" Tora said.

Sherly nodded because she didn't get an answer. Tora is fooling him now.

"Don't put on a face like that little girl. I promised I would keep it. But it's very late now, you have to rest, baby." said Tora.

"I don't like being curious, brother. I really want to know who and where that guy is" Sherly said.

"One secret I'm opening for you tonight." Tora approaches Sherly's ear. "I've loved you for 10 more years" she whispered as she kissed Sherly on the forehead. "Good night, dear." Tora leaves Sherly confused now.
