Chapter 44's

In the afternoon Davin met Bagas in Angkasa group. Ever since he remembered everything, his mind became riled up. Bringing Him to meet Bgas immediately that day.

Bagas himself was astonished, because Davin rarely visited his office. Bagas stared curiously, especially when Davin was in front of him.

"What wind are you here for?" greet Bagas, when he sees Davin enter his room and close the door.

Davin sat down unreservedly, that was his attitude towards Bagas. Bagas also saw something different in Davin. It's as if Bagas saw Davin's figure before amnesia.

"Do you know who killed my wife?" Davin. Bagas who was turning back the book in his hand was directly staring at him.

"Wife? Do you remember your wife?"

Bagas leaned his head in wait for Davin's reply. Afterwards he smiled seeing Davin nod his head.

"Please tell me who killed my wife? You must know everything!!"

Bagas did not answer directly. He picked up two glasses filled with wine. One for him and one for Davin.

After giving Davin a glass of wine, Bagas sat back in his chair. He glanced at Davin who was still waiting for an answer from him. Bagas clucked then smiled.

"I entrusted my sister to you after you proposed to her to make you your wife. I thought you could take care of her like I've been keeping her all this time. I'm responsible for my sister you can replace. But what's going on? My brother even suffered and even died."

Davin shook his head, as if Bagas' words to him were untrue. It's like Bagas thought Davin hadn't been looking after Vey all this time.

"You don't think like I'm not looking after Vey. If I can choose, I don't want amnesia and forget everything. Even if I can choose, I'd rather die if Vey can stay alive."

"Sad. Don't get too many theories, Davin. I want to see how you protect my sister, not just your talk. Now do it, I want to know how you're protecting my sister!!"

Bagas poured the wine back in his empty glass. Davin hasn't drank his wine since.

"Are you kidding me? My wife is gone, I'm too late to protect her. All I want to do now is find out who killed my wife. You know, now tell me who killed my wife."

Davin raised his voice because Bagas seemed to underestimate him and was too relaxed. He was serious, asking nicely who killed Vey.

"Your wife is safe in my place, she's not dead. You think I'll just let it go when someone else wants to kill him?"

Davin was surprised not to play, as well as feeling happy his wife was still alive.

"You're not kidding? So my wife is alive? Who was buried the other day?"

"Other people are unfortunate. My men deliberately manipulated the circumstances to save Vey back then. Do you want to know who killed him? That person is Renata and Retno" Bagas said, again making Davin surprised.

"I hope you don't take rash action. Keep pretending amnesia, do not leave a suspicious impression. I hope you can work together. Otherwise, don't expect you to be with my sister again" Bagas said, more like a threat to Davin.

"I know what I should do. Now tell me, where's my wife?"

"A place that is certainly safe. Finish your business with Renata. Drag them both into jail. Or just kill them, people like them don't deserve to live in the world."

If Bagas has said so, it is true that he limited Davin to meeting Vey. Because her sister's life would be threatened if Renata and Retno found out, Vey was still alive.

Davin tried to understand what Bagas meant by saying that. If he was in Bagas position, he would definitely behave like Bagas. Protecting his sister from things that harm Vey.

"Alright if that's best for Vey, but I want to ask for evidence of Renata and her mother's involvement in the murder case the other day" Davin continued.

Bagas immediately threw his ipad at Davin. There Bagas keeps all the evidences of the crimes of Renata and his mother. It's not just evidence of a murder the other day. Even Bagas had a cctv recording a few years ago, when Renata damaged the brakes of Vey's car and caused accidents to Vey and Davin.

Davin opened all the videos inside Bagas' ipad. It is obvious that Davin's face changes after seeing all the evidence of Renata's crimes. 

He handed back Bagas' iPad to its owner. Then Davin looked at Bagas with an expression filled with anger.

"You have all the evidence of their crimes. Then why don't you just put them in jail, huh?"

"Because there's a stupid man protecting them. Don't you remember? When you're amnesiac, you trust them more. They're taking cover behind you. Of course there is no way I was rash, there is my sister who was the victim" said Bagas casually.

Davin stood up, he was about to get out of Bagas' room. Nun Bagas held him back from rushing to leave. Fear Davin will mess up all his plans, what else is his current condition that is emotional.

"Where are you going? Don't let you act rashly and ruin all my plans!!"

"To the police station. I will reopen the accident case a few years ago and also the murder the other day!!" davin replied, his hand was about to hold the door handle.

Bagas laughed, making Davin undo his intention to leave. Then he turned to look at Bagas who was still laughing.

"No need, because I've taken care of everything. Stay a game of time that will run everything. You just keep pretending to be amnesiac. Just watch out you screwed up my plan with your stupid act. Don't expect you to see my sister again" Bagas threatened.

"I've asked my lawyer to open all these cases. It's just that they're too smart and not rash. We play smooth, the most important thing is that Vey is safe and you just run my orders" he continued.

Davin pulled his hair up. Especially what can be done besides carrying out the orders of his brother-in-law. What else did Bagas threaten him like that. It is better for Davin to obey Bagas' orders than not to be able to meet his wife.

Davin left Bagas' office, he's going back to his office. The man was still thinking about all of Bagas' words earlier, biting his thumb's fingernail.

"Renata, it turns out that this is the answer to my suspicion of you. All right, we're gonna start the game, before you and your mom pay for everything you've done to me, my wife and my future son" Davin said, staring straight ahead.
