Chapter 39's

"How's it going, my sister, doc?" tanya Bagas, after seeing the doctor who handled Vey come out of the ER room.

"We need blood type A, because patients lose a lot of blood!!" said the doctor.

Bagas immediately rolled up his shirt sleeves. He asked the doctor to take the same blood as Vey.

"Take, doc. Take as much blood as possible as long as my sister can survive!!" bagas.

This was only blood, even his life would be sacrificed if he could guarantee his sister's life happy.

A nurse asked Bagas to follow her. They'll take some bagas' blood. The time required for a blood transfusion is quite long. Bagas prayed in his heart, that his brother might endure.

A few hours later after surgery the bullet in Vey's arm was successful. Vey's condition has improved even though he has not been conscious.

Bagas looked at his sister's pale face for the second time. Both lying on hospital gurneys, in different countries.

Someone sent a video recording on Bagas. Bagas moved from his seat, to the balcony of Vey's nursery.

"Campus you, Vey. Look at your face has been shapelessly broken. All this time you were a beauty pretender, had everything I wanted. Now that your face is broken, your life is floating. Goodbye, welcome to my stepbrother's paradise, hahaha." Renata laughs at the dead body of the woman he thinks is Vey.

Bagas played a video of his men's delivery. Seeing the substitute woman of his sister who has died with a sad facial condition, making the bagas want to vomit.

He would pay a heavy price to his clever men. Somehow they got a replacement woman for her sister. It does not seem easy, and Bagas will pay a large fee for the performance of his men.

"Did the woman have a family? Buried in the right way" Bagas said, commanding his men by telephone.

"We need your little presence at the funeral, to trick your brother and stepmother, sir," said one person across the street.

Bagas clenched his hands together, remembering the faces of Renata and Retno laughing at the woman's death. Although the woman is not Vey, Renata and Retno's bad actions must be countered.

Vey regained consciousness, after five hours of unconsciousness after surgery. Bagas left the balcony, approaching Vey, after hearing Vey's voice in pain.

"Vey, are you conscious?" tanya Bagas rubbed her sister's forehead.

"Sister, wasn't I in...!!"

"You survived. Fortunately, my people found you first. Recover yourself, and you'll know who's behind all this."

"Who, say?" Vey won't calm down before Bagas tells him.

"Who else if she wasn't the demon lady. They planned all of that to kill you. But they were misdirected and right now they're celebrating your death, rather the poor woman they thought you were.

"What's? How can you, brother? Who's that woman?"

Because Vey was curious and kept asking Bagas a lot of questions. Finally Bagas showed the video sent by his people earlier.

Vey smothers his mouth, his tears dripping after seeing the horrible face of the woman in the video.

"Who is he brother? How could his face be so broken?"

Vey shook his head, he was too shocked after seeing the video earlier. He felt, because the lives of others became his victims.

"Sister, pity that woman. He is innocent and this is all because of me!!" Vey was crying hysterically feeling guilty.

"Calm down, Vey. If it wasn't him then you would have died at the hands of Renata and Retno. You think I'm gonna let you die? It won't."

"But, brother. The woman is innocent, why should she die?"

Bagas clasped his sister's hand, asking Vey to calm down a little. He himself also did not know that it would end up like that.

"Sister has ordered someone to properly bury the woman. Most importantly we have this videotape evidence to put the two women in jail. Or do you want your brother to kill him?"

Vey shook his head, he didn't want his brother to be a murderer. Without Vey knowing, Bagas had already killed people. For all Vey knew, his brother was a good man.

"I didn't know it would end like this. I thought Vey would accompany Mr. Davin in the hospital. That's why I went back to the office" said Rizal.

Everyone blamed Rizal, without them knowing Rizal also felt guilty. Even if time can be rotated, surely Rizal will turn time back to yesterday.

"Enough. Please all of you blame me. You don't know how I felt yesterday? How does it feel to be surprised by reality."
