Chapter 41's

Davin woke up after fainting for several hours. As if he had been at a funeral. But why suddenly now he was in his room.

Davin got up from his bed, out of the room. The house looked quiet, there was only Mita down there preparing evening dishes.

"Why does the house seem lonely, where are the others?" ask Davin when he's at the dinner table.

"Sir Davin is conscious?" tanya Mita approached Davin. Davin scrunched his forehead feeling strange with Mita's question.

Davin does not respond to Mita's remarks, he asks once again why the house seems deserted and where other people like Renata and Retno are.

"Last afternoon madam and Miss Renata came out, sir. Looks like going to the party."

"Oh yes, sir. Non Renata left this to me. He said you were asked to choose which design you think you like," said Mita handed me five pieces of wedding invitation design.

Davin looked one by one at the invitation design in his hand. She is still in a state of grief, already faced with the reality of her marriage to Renata.

After looking through the invitation, Davin put it back on the dining table. He got up from his seat, towards his study.

"Sir Davin didn't eat dinner?" mita asked and was only answered with a headband by Davin.

He is still grieving and has yet to accept the reality of Vey's passing. Arriving at his study, he immediately locked the door. He did not want to be disturbed by anyone at this moment.

Davin was pensive while smoking a cigarette and alcohol. For him only cigarettes and alcohol can treat his dukan.

"I'm sorry, Vey!!" Davin was unclear. He began to get drunk, after spending one and a half bottles of alcoholic beverages at his desk.

At midnight Renata and Retno return home after celebrating Vey's death party. All the lights in the room were out.

Renata walks towards the room she is in with Davin. After he entered the room, his eyes did not see Davin's whereabouts. Then he went out again to Davin's study.

"Damn, locked from the inside!!"

Renata did not take the dizziness, as she was also very tired and sleepy. He prefers to lay his body on his bedroom bed.

"You drunk, mas?" he asked, but Davin passed by.

There is no such thing as a mute, Davin is silent. He continued to step into his room towards the bathroom.

Renata doesn't care about Davin, he walks downstairs to the dining room. There Retno had sat down from earlier eating her morning breakfast.

"Where's davin, Ren?" ask Retno.

"Mandy. It seemed like all night he was drunk!!" said Renata, his hand while rubbing a piece of bread with blueband.

"Drunken? Is he still thinking about Vey?" retno asked and was only answered with a nod of Renata's head.

Renata enjoys his bread and does not want to bother about Davin. The most important thing for him is that Vey is dead. So he felt calmer and more able to relax.

"Dead people are still thinking!!" said Retno, back to enjoying breakfast in the morning.

"It's so weird, Davin. Tumben he didn't say hello to mama, Ren?"

"Just let him, ma, he still thinks of Vey!!" sahut Renata shook his hand.

The sound of Davin's car had been turned on, before long his car went out of the gate of his house to the office. Renata and Retno did not bother with Davin's attitude.

Arriving at the office, after getting out of his car. Davin saw so many wreaths of mourning complete vey photo plastered there.

Davin stopped his steps, looking at the sender of the flowers. Devano, Bagas, and his other business colleagues sent wreaths of condolence for Vey's death.

Later he saw a picture of Vey in the wreath. Unable to be lied to, there was still a wound in his heart when he saw Vey's photo.

Especially when he goes through the desk that Vey usually has there. No more good morning greetings. There was no sweet smile from his secretary anymore.

Unbeknownst to him, Davin sat in the chair Vey usually occupied. The view is blank, even the files that Vey has done are still neatly arranged on his desk.

Davin was silent in his daydream, recalling the moment with his secretary. Without him realizing other employees had seen him.

"It looks like Mr. Davin has lost the Vey!!" say one employee.

"It's not just Mr. Davin. But we're all here to lose Vey. What's more I, I haven't had time to apologize to Vey," Sarah said.

"Here, the man is dead, why are you talking!!" sahut Andin who doesn't like Vey.

"Shut up, Andin. Don't you know, Vey is Mr. Davin's wife. You didn't hear what Rizal said the other day?" Sarah rebukes Andin.

"Thank God he's dead, so I'm safe!!" andin said then passed leaving other employees who were still standing watching Davin.

Rizal walked over to Davin who was still sitting in Vey's chair. He greets Davin, making Davin aware of his daydream.

"Good morning, Mr. Davin. Whether Mr. Davin needs something, I can help Mr. Davin!!"

Davin immediately stood up after knowing that the one who greeted him was Rizal. He recalled the words of another employee who discussed his stupor the other day.

"Gue was upset with Rizal, if Rizal had not left Vey, Vey would still be alive today. Because Rizal left Vey, Vey died!!"

Davin recalled the words of another employee he had accidentally heard. His eyes stared intently at Rizal. Like there is anger that must be resolved on Rizal.

Rizal stared confusedly at the change in his boss' expression. Moreover, Rizal was increasingly surprised when Davin pulled the collar of his shirt.

"Why did you leave Vey alone, huh? Why don't you protect her? because you Vey died!!"

"Detachable. Do you all want me to fire?" shouts Davin's doom. It makes all employees afraid of it.

Davin did not hit Rizal, he entered his room and slammed the door of his room. All the employees were looking at the anger of his boss.

Rizal again felt guilty, even these days he was always haunted by guilt.

"Patience, Zal. Mr. Davin is still grieving, how much better we leave him alone first!!" said Sarah. Then everyone disperse, back to their desks.

"Aarrrr!!" Davin slammed all the furniture in his room. She vented all her grief and anger by slamming everything inside her study.
