Chapter 38's

"What do you mean, Ren? You talk like you're pregnant."

"Mas, I'm serious. I'm pregnant with our child. This is proof that Davin did not believe," Renata issued a pregnancy test and certificate from the doctor.

Davin's eyeballs rounded after reading all the contents. Retno soon reenters Davin's ward and holds Davin accountable for her daughter.

"You're responsible, Vin. When are you going to marry my son. Don't wait for my son's stomach to bulge you just marry him. Wanted to put where my face and my son are."

Davin felt cornered. On the other hand he felt doubtful, on the other hand he had to account for his actions. There was an innocent baby in Renata's stomach.

He could do nothing but nod in agreement with Retno's words. The mother and son looked at each other, because Davin had fallen into their trap.

"Have you ordered your men to finish off the woman?" whispered Renata.

"Berez. We wait for the news of the woman's death" whispered Retno.

If there was no Davin there, it would have been for sure that the two women's mother and son would have laughed loosely. Laughing at Vey's life who's staying some time away.

"Campus you, Vey. You think you can take Davin away from me. Don't dream, even if I can't have Davin and his treasure, you can't have it back either!!" inner Renata.

While Vey is currently sitting at the bus stop, waiting for the bus he will ride. Because of waiting too long, Vey finally chose to take a taxi.

Vey had been in the taxi he was riding in, heading to his apartment. He decided to go home and not go back to his office.

Vey reached into a small mirror in her bag to examine her face. Because he had just cried, afraid his brother would throw a lot of questions if he saw his eyes moist.

From the reflection of his small mirror, Vey saw the thing that stuck out from the back of the taxi. It seemed like a black-colored sedan car was following him. At first he thought it was a car that happened to also pass in the same lane as him.

Then Vey's gaze stared around the streets that seemed quiet different from usual. Maybe because he came home early. But there was still a sense in his heart.

Again Vey continued to look at the black sedan car from the reflection of the mirror. Vey asked the taxi driver to speed up his taxi. The more the taxi drove fast, the more the sedan car was no less fast anyway.

Vey reached into his phone which was located inside his bag. He will call Bagas and tell Bagas that there is currently a black sedan car following him.

"Hallo!!" there was a sound of Bagas across the street.

"Hallo, brother. Help me, brother. There was a black sedan following the taxi I was riding in. I can't stop and I don't know where to go, brother. The car's coming after me."

"Where is your position? Activate the gps!!" bagas's Order.

"I'm on my way home to the apartment, brother. I was from the hospital, so I went down a different path. I'll activate the gps right now, help me, brother."

Vey's tone of voice looked nervous as well as frightened. Bagas immediately ordered all of his men to split up on each of the connecting lines that Vey would cross.

The man in the sedan shot at the tire of the taxi that Vey was riding. The taxi stopped suddenly. Vey was getting scared, he ran out of the taxi he was riding.

"Sister help me!!" he said softly in the middle of chasing two men dressed all in black.

Vey continued to run with all his might, hoping that his brother would soon find him through the gps that had been activated.

Sweat soaked his forehead and all over his body. Even the pain in his leg was ignored as long as he could keep running from the pursuit of the two strangers.

The Bagas men partially stopped right where the taxi that had been on board the Vey stopped. They found the taxi driver dying. But the taxi driver was still able to tell the bailiffs that Vey was running in which direction.

The Bagas men immediately contacted their members who had split up. While Vey continued to run until his right arm was shot by Retno and Renata's men.

Vey stopped in the bushes behind a big tree. He was in pain, even fresh blood was flowing on his right arm. He picked up a thin scarf that was in his bag and used it to tie up his injured right arm.

"Where did that woman go?" ask one of Retno and Renata's men. Vey silenced her own mouth, after hearing the voice of the person chasing her getting closer.

"Lord, help me. Brother, hurry up and help me, brother!!" inner Vey begged.

After seeing that the two people who were chasing him had left. Vey ran in the other direction, hoping the two men didn't find him.

He continued to run, even his body condition had weakened and was not fine. Even the scarf used to tie up his shot hands was useless. Vey's blood remained translucent, dripping out somehow as much of his blood was wasted.

Bagas keeps tracking his sister through his cell phone. Vey got closer, Even Bagas yelled at all his men to act faster.

"If one of you no one can save my sister, then all of you will die!!" shout Bagas.

The atmosphere was getting gripping, everyone was made to panic all by Bagas. They speed up his search, looking for Vey's whereabouts.

Bagas was already impatient just sitting quietly while waiting for news from his people. Finally he also intervened to look for his sister at the location point of the current gps.

"I will kill whoever you dare to harm my sister!!" said Bagas amid his explosive emotions.

"Patience, Vey. Brother's coming, brother's gonna help you."

Bagas ran towards the point where his sister was. Vey's body has weakened, his blood has been wasted a lot. His lips paled, he no longer had the energy to run.

"I can't do it, God. I'm resigned if this is the end of my life!!" he said before he fainted.

Two men have discovered Vey's whereabouts. Either they are Bagas' man or vice versa. The two men took Vey away from the scene.

Those two guys are faster than Bagas. Even Bagas almost arrived at the point where his sister was, but first someone else.

They find Vey because Vey's blood is dripping along the direction. And the two men followed the trail of blood until it came to the man they were looking for.
