Chapter 31

Early in the morning, Vey arrived at the office. After seeing the video footage her brother sent last night. He was sure that Renata was going to the office today to look for the files he wanted.

He wanted to see his reaction, because the file he was looking for was no longer in Davin's room. He thinks Vey's stupid, he won't be cheated a second time.

After waiting for an hour, the person who was waiting for him arrived. Renata's eyes glanced at Vey who was standing saluting his superior. Renata's hand held tightly to Davin's arm.

"Good morning, sir!!" sapanya, even if the one called does not respond.

Davin and Renata just walked into his room. But just two steps, Davin stopped because he heard Vey's words.

"Today there is a meeting with Mr. Devano at one noon, sir!!" vey said showing the schedule that was recorded.

"Cancel!!" Davin.

"Can't, sir. You can't suddenly cancel it."

Davin told Renata to go into the room first. With a slow step, he approached towards Vey.

"I'm the boss here. It's up to me to cancel meetings with anyone and at any time" he said, stressing every word.

"You still mad about the other day? I hope you don't confuse personal matters with work matters, sir."

Vey denied that, as she knew, her husband was still jealous of Devano. Renata who had not fully entered the room, heard the conversation of the two of them.

This was an opportunity for him to search for the files he wanted. This time he sided with Vey, and tried to persuade Davin to attend a meeting with Devano.

"Darling, this woman said. You should have been at the meeting" Renata said.

Vey smiled wryly, he already knew Renata's intention of siding with him. What else if instead of using meeting time, to unpack the files in Davin's workspace.

The wall clock kept turning and now it's showing at one o'clock in the afternoon. Vey knocked on the door of her husband's room inside. Renata is also still inside, waiting for Davin's departure to launch his intention.

Shortly Davin came out of his room and saw Vey had been standing waiting for him with some files in his hand.

Vey placed the held files on his desk. Then step closer right in front of Davin.

Vey helps justify and tidy up Davin's tucked coat collar. Davin stood glued while staring at Vey who is currently still tidying up his tie.

When she finished, Vey looked up at her husband. She felt her husband staring at her. Both are glued together and look at each other.

"It's neat, sir. Let's head to the meeting room now!!" vey said later.

"Arm!" Davin hisses sick. He held his head which suddenly felt dizzy. For some reason, after staring at Vey's face from a close distance. Suddenly came a flash of blurry memory that he had been experiencing lately.

"Sir Davin why?" Vey looked at the worried Davin while holding onto both of Davin's arms.

Davin shook his head, he closed his eyes to neutralize the pain that had plagued his head. Then he opened his eyes, after a slight decrease in dizziness.

"Let's go now!!" Take Davin, step ahead of Vey. Vey followed her husband's steps behind.

She was still thinking about the condition of her husband who had recently complained of dizziness. In his heart he felt a deep fear. She was afraid of something bad happening to Davin if the dizziness suffered by her husband was left alone.

"Sir Davin really is okay? If Mr. Davin is not healthy, Mr. Davin rest. I can represent a meeting" Vey bargained. When the two of them had been inside the elevator.

Davin looked at Vey, then said the words that made Vey exhale his coarse breath.

Vey hissed annoyed. That is what her husband discussed. But in her heart she smiled, a sign that her husband was jealous.

Vey did not respond to her husband's remarks, until they arrived at the meeting room. They were both five minutes late from the appointed hour.

Devano was already sitting waiting for their arrival from ten minutes ago. His eyes stared at Vey and Davin in turn.

"Good afternoon everyone, sorry for our delay!!" davin said greeting everyone who attended the meeting was no exception Devano.

The corner of Davin's eye glanced at the smiling Vey towards Devano as well as Devano.

"Ehm, the meeting will start soon, I expect all the focus during the meeting, do not focus on the others," Davin said, awakening Vey and Devano.

Vey smiled wryly, her husband was jealous. Surely after the meeting is over, Davin will lecture him.

During the meeting, Renata, who is still in Davin's room, is currently rummaging through a pile of company files.

"Damn, where did he put it? Nothing at home, nothing here either. Where else should I look for him?"

Business books that had been neatly arranged in the wall cabinet, are now scattered on the floor. Renata is lazy to tidy it up again. He called the office boy to tidy it up.

"Heh, come here you are!!" yelled Renata calling office boy.

Feeling called, the office boy immediately accelerated his steps toward Renata. Currently Renata was standing at the door of Davin's office, with his hands folded over his chest.

"Yes, Miss Renata. Can I help you?" 

"Get in and reassemble all the books and files that are strewn on that floor into the closet" he ordered.

Seeing his boss's work room is not much different from the junkyard storage warehouse, making the office boy dizzy first before cleaning it up.

"Why bengong? Quickly work on it before Davin gets back. I don't want to know, ten minutes has to be done. Watch out if it's not done, tomorrow you won't be working here!!" he felt like he was the boss in the office.

Hearing the commotion in front of his boss's workspace, made some employees peek. Andin who saw Renata there also tried to approach. He wanted to look for face, because the other day Renata praised him for taking his side.

"Good day, Mr. Renata. What's up with the fuss? Is there anything I can help you with, ma'am?" greet Andin smiled.

Renata glanced at Andin at a glance, after remembering who the woman in front of him was, Renata Pun returned Andien's greeting.

"Oh, I happen to be thirsty. Please make me some orange ice. And one more thing, don't call me by name, ma'am. Call me madam, because soon I'll be your boss's wife, got it?"

Andin nodded, regretting that he approached Renata. It was true what his co-workers said. Renata is arrogant, even though he is still engaged, not yet married to his boss.

Meeting's done. Davin sends Vey back to his desk. He won't let his secretary get along with Devano.

"Go back to your desk right now!!" his orders. Vey, who had just gotten up from his seat, nodded. His eyes occasionally glanced at Devano.

"I said hurry back to your desk. Didn't you hear my words, Vey?" whispered in a pressure-filled tone.

I don't know, right now she's a possessive boss or a possessive husband. Clearly, he did not want Vey to meet Devano. Vey complied with her husband's wishes. He walked first to his desk.

After exiting the elevator, his eyes saw an office boy just coming out of Davin's room. Vey stopped the office boy.

"What did you just do in Mr. Davin's room?" reproof Vey.
