62. Dharma Day Ocean

This Ocean Dharma Day was held in front of Dankormar and led by Kasal at Ujung Surabaya base. This Ocean Dharma Day is commemorated as a form of respect when Commodore Yos Sudarso drowned in the Arafuru Sea when he captured West Irian.

After the Dharma Day commemoration, the closing apple was led by Dankoarmatim.

I stood on the sidelines watching the disbandment of the troops, "Have you had breakfast?" suddenly Resti stood parallel next to me while tinkering at his camera. Today we wear white ceremonial service clothes with black vests and purple berets. Resti used glasses with brown lenses, some of his hair flying in the wind covered part of his face.

"Not yet" I replied, since dawn we have been preparing for this ceremony, so it is only natural that this hour has not had breakfast.

"Want to eat together?" tanya Resti is still busy with her camera.

"Thank you, later. There's still something to do" I refused.

He is now standing facing me. "Mas Imam always avoids Resti, apologise for making Mas Imam uncomfortable!"

Resti's words made me feel guilty, "No, where are we eating now?"

"Near the parking lot, Resti bring a lot of sandwich bread."

There are some things that Resti does very often, which makes it seem like I can't refuse his wishes, like this time.

Resti took out a box from his car and opened it, some bread served, some sandwich bread, jam bread, chocolate toast. Resti also took out two boxes of instant milk from his car.

We ate at a place not far from the parking lot.

"New car, huh?" I asked while glancing at the white avanza.

"No, car koh Benny. He lent me, "Resti replied.

I nodded my head. "Have you given Benny permission to eat with me?"

"Just eat why he's allowed to."

"You belong to him, I'm someone else outside of you."

"No half of it is Mas. Just relax, life doesn't have to be too saklek."

"Yes. Koh Benny said he immediately proposed to you."

Resti stopped eating and then looked down. 

"He told you that, right?" added again.

Resti shook his head, "he hasn't told me, then according to Mas Imam how?"

"Istiqarah. Ask God for guidance. I'm sure he can please you. You guys already like it together, please proceed to a better level."

"Are you sure the priest will allow me to marry someone else?" Resti put his right hand on my left.

"Yes," I replied, releasing my hands from Resti's gang. His hands were cold, maybe he was nervous.

"The doctor has not yet been found, who will fill the heart of the Imam?" ask Resti.

"Well, you don't have to worry." I smiled at him and took a toast that had been brought with honey. "Receive koh Benny, be a good woman for him. I'm sure you'll be happy."

"Is this my karma, huh?"

"Karma why? Let's get married again, it's called karma, not."

"Yes karma, for marrying Irvan first, forsaking Imam."

"Take koh Benny as a better gift than Irvan used to be."

"I can create happiness for myself. You don't have to worry."

I smiled, "don't go for it, you know!"

"Should it be the same with Benny?"

"I know and trust Koh Benny. That's why I let him go for you. If the others I'm not necessarily willing to let you go." 

"Yes the same as others, let the Imam not let me go!" Resti smiled triumphantly.

"But the one who proposes to you is Koh Benny, not the other. People as good as him don't have to be rejected."

"Danyon is around again!" Resti pointed to his father who was walking followed by some people behind him, there were two Danki and some Danton people.

"The Imam didn't join?" ask Resti.

"No direction." We ignored the group of Danyon who passed our sight.

"So if koh Benny proposes to me, what should I do?"

"There's no reason to refuse, right? Just accept!" my reply relaxed even though Danton's eyes were on me.

"Kin Mas?"

"Yes!" I replied firmly and then drank the milk given by Resti earlier. "Thank you, I'm full now. I'm back first, sorry I'm still a lot of work." I stood up and then moved away. Resti stood up, "Mas!" Resti called out slowly, I turned my head. Resti saluted, I smiled then returned his respect and left. God, may my choice be right. It doesn't feel as heavy and painful as it used to be, maybe my love rate has diminished, not like it used to.

The reddish sky indicates the day will change at night. I was preparing to go home, until my steps stopped when someone patted me on the shoulder from behind, Mas Joko. "Call the commander in his room!" mas Joko told me.

"What's up?" my many.

Mas joko shrugged, "ask yourself the same commander, I just say."

I turned around and set foot towards the Danyon room.

"Come in" a reply from inside after the door.

"Sit down" colonel Teguh.

Colonel Teguh's eyes are very piercing. I sat like a sick man ready to be punished.

"So what did you do with my son?" ask the colonel firmly without stale ado. I swallowed the saliva, "breakfast." That's all I can answer.

"Say you gave up Resti for Benny, why are you approaching Resti again?" asked Colonel Teguh furiously.

"Sorry, it was just a quick breakfast. I happen to not have breakfast yet, Resti brought provisions, so we ate together for a while," I replied nervously.

"If you don't want to be with my son, stay away!" colonel Teguh said loudly.

"Koh Benny yesterday said he wanted to propose to Resti, he asked for my opinion and Suryo," I tried to explain.

"Then why did you accidentally eat with Resti?" cecar colonel Teguh.

"Things we did not intentionally. Coincidentally we met. I also advised Resti to be a good wife to koh Benny" once again.

"I don't want you to ruin Resti's relationship with Benny!"
