29. Utami Promise

“There can I help?” the sound from behind made me turn my head, Utami then ran for cover behind the owner of the voice. I looked up to see what Utami was doing. He's like a little boy who takes refuge in his parents from the bad guys.

"I want to talk to Dr. Utami" I replied.

"Please, I think he can hear you talking!" said the man I thought was Aaron's doctor.

"Why did Utami leave Surabaya and avoid me?" I asked softly.

"Doctor Utami has decided to live and work here. Sorry, where do you know Dr Utami?" doctor Aaron answered my question, while Utami from earlier just kept quiet and hid behind the body of Doctor Aaron.

"I'm not sure about the decision, because Utami never said it before. Let me speak four eyes with Utami!" I cupped both hands in front of my chest pleading with Utami and Dr. Aaron.

"Let's come to my room!" harun's doctor let me follow him, Utami refused but Aaron's doctor clasped his hand. They were holding hands right in front of my eyes. All this time Lita had often seen me join hands with Utami, like this is the pain I felt.

Doctor Aaron entered his spacious room, a luxurious chair behind his desk which was also luxurious and spacious. In front of him was a pair of chairs that one of his chairs was sliding to the side of the table. He allowed me to sit on the chair opposite to him, while Utami sat on the side.

Utami looked agitated, his head bowed staring at the cellphone that had been held earlier.

"May I know your name?" doctor Aaron took me by the hand.

"I'm the Imam" I returned his hand.

"Harun," the man introduced himself.

"Well, this is Utami. Please, what to talk about. This is a drink too please drink!"

I looked at Utami who was sitting uneasily, then looked at Dr. Aaron again, "i think, I need a little time alone with Dr. Utami."

"Can't do it" Utami replied spontaneously.

I exhaled a rough breath. "Alright, Utami. Please come back to me, let's continue our plan. We have no reason to stop the story we have put together. I came here to apologize for the mistakes and mistakes I have done, I really hope we can return to how we used to be," I said.

"I can't, I don't want to!" utami replied briefly without even raising her face.

"Why?" reply fast.

"I want to stay here and marry Aaron's doctor!" utami said vibrating.

“Sorry I am busy, soon there is a practice schedule. Excuse me first!” Utami stood up to lift her bag towards the door. I immediately followed towards the door, then held back the door with my left hand before Utami managed to open the door. “Stay with me, no matter what. I will not let you go, I love to die with you!” I put my face closer to his forehead.

Doctor Aaron stands by pressing the table, “you can't force Utami. I never forced her to love you or me, but now she's willing to marry me. I hope you respect his decision!”

I looked down close to her tiny face, “are you under pressure? I'll help you!” i whisper.

Utami stay away from me. “I don't want to be like this, don't come near me again.”

I pulled Utami's hand and took her out of Aaron's doctor's room, then ran towards the parking lot. 

“What the heck are you, I don't like diginiin!” utami shouted releasing his hand from my grasp.

“Why are you so quick to change. What wrong? Don't play me like this!”

“Kan from the beginning I told you that I would marry Aaron's doctor. Therefore, stay away from me!”

“So, you're lying. Surely you're under pressure, I know it!”

“I can already choose what is best for me, but it is not you!”

I was surprised to hear his words. “You are not the Utami I know!”

“Iya, indeed. It's obvious, right? Now, go!” yell Utami.

“Release Utami, or I report to the authorities!” doctor Aaron's voice came from behind towards the position we were standing in.

Utami ran to the back of Doctor Aaron's back, “call the security officer, that person is dangerous!” pekik Utami's.

“Go, Utami doesn't want to be with you anymore. I hope you respect his decision,” said the doctor aaron triumphantly.

“I ask for one more chance, please allow Utami to say once more to me about her current feelings! I sanctioned with what Utami said,” I'm still insistent.

“I think Utami is no longer on your side, you should not be forced, because it can make it disturbed!” reply doctor Aaron.

“No, you made it like this. I'm sure Utami is under great pressure in this environment right now!” I don't want to lose.

“Mas Imam, thank you for everything we've been through. Now let me choose my own life. I'm sorry I prefer Dr. Aaron over you. I am sure of this decision. I hope after listening to this explanation, you can leave this place.” Utami said from behind the back of Doctor Aaron.

“Say the reason?” my door.

“Nothing needs to be explained anymore, please leave this place!” hardik doctor Aaron.

“Utami, tell me why. I just want to hear what the reason is, after that I promise to leave this place.” I still hope Utami will change her decision.

“Because I know, doctor Aaron is the most appropriate person for me, right now and forever!” utami's voice sounded trembling.

I felt like I lost my spirit hearing Utami's words. I tried to set my heart, trying to accept Utami's decision even though it was difficult. 

“Alright, I give up. Thank you for this opportunity.” I greet Doctor Aaron, “congratulations, you are the winner!” doctor Aaron returned my handshake. Utami came out from behind Dr. Aaron's back. I looked at him, then gave him my right hand and then he returned my handshake, just a moment ago I took off.

I turned towards the car with a hollow heart. Utami, it's easy for you to turn away from me. Are you honest with what you say? I feel this is so awkward. I really can't believe what happened, what Utami said. Enough of me who is sad, may Utami be happy and never regret his decision. I'm actually very curious about Dr. Aaron. Who her? According to Utami first, he helped the economy of his family, how indebted the Utami family to abandon the feelings of the heart.

Phone rings, Aisyah my sister calls, “Halo.”

“Mas Imam again where?” ask Aisyah.

“I want to ask for permission,” Aisyah voice slowly once.

“Izin what?” I was a bit worried by Aisyah's words.

“Mas Ardi wants to propose to me, I said wait for permission from Mas Imam first. If Mas Imam allows it, I accept his proposal. If Mas Imam does not allow, I will reject Mas Ardi's proposal!” aisyah.

“Ha .. ha …. Thank God Mas's sister proposed. If Dek Aisyah is happy, father and mother agree, yes accepted,” good news from Aisyah improves my mood booster.

“But Mas Imam was overstepped again, Mas Imam when was his marriage with the doctor? Who knows Mas Imam can get married first than Aisyah,” Aisyah's voice sounded doubtful.

“Yes, see you at home. Assalamualaikum,” I hung up.
