He's Not Mine

He's Not Mine
32. Griefs

Airlangga Utama Sukoco bin Irvan Firdaus Sukoco. I saw a headstone that was to be mounted on the pusara that had been prepared. Although I have never had a biological child, the pain of losing such a small child is painful. May Resti be strong for himself and accompany the husband who is now being treated.

The body has arrived at the funeral home last night, this morning it will be buried. The funeral was simple because Irvan and Resti's extended family refused to hold the ceremony militarily even though Colonel Teguh had prepared his troops.

Me and the rest of the troops were on standby from dawn until the ambulance convoy of the corpse-bearer came. The family got out of the car, I didn't see Resti in the family car. It turned out that Resti was in the hearse carrying his son, he accompanied his son who had been wrapped in a shroud. At exactly ten o'clock in the morning, Colonel Teguh went into the burrow to receive the body of his grandson. At that time Resti fainted and made the situation not conducive. The commander's mother tried to strengthen Resti. Inside the burrow were two people who arranged for the little boy's body, I think the other person was Resti's father-in-law. It must be very painful, maybe Resti's husband has not seen the condition of his son or even does not know the news of his son's death because it is rumored to be in critical condition.

After Colonel Teguh and his iron rose to the surface, the ground began to cover the burrows. Resti also disposed of the land to bury the body of his son. This time in turn, the commanding mother who fainted saw her grandson buried. Sobs rang out loudly to accompany the departure of the little boy. The best prayer is offered, may be the provision of shield in the afterlife for both parents.

Sowing flowers and watering flowers are done by large families and pandai taulan. The sun was getting higher, the mourning guests one by one left the cemetery. And so do the other troops. Wanting to get closer and strengthen Resti but I don't think right now, Suryo happens to be asking me to leave the place.

It has been a week since the death of Resti's child, the suffering is still not over. According to the news I heard, every night there was a lecture at Resti's house, but I deliberately never came to his house to take care of this heart.

Suryo called me, “halo,” I replied.

“Where is the position?” ask Suryo.

“Still in the office!”

“May be busy?”

“Gak, why?”

“So I met Colonel Teguh, he asked to see his son-in-law in the hospital!”

“You're just a badass, why bother me. You're the one Colonel Teguh told you to do!”

“So, Colonel Teguh asked me to accompany you to visit his son-in-law. He asked for you who looked up, I accompanied!”

“Colonel Teguh said so?”

“Iya, really. I was also surprised, he immediately said your name.”

“Say how?”

“Pas met, Colonel Teguh immediately asked how you were, kept saying ‘please take Imam to see Irvan my daughter-in-law at hospital’. I accept Colonel Teguh's request. It looks like Colonel Teguh is still grieving, just not excited. When I met you, you were asked. Anyway you are called a lot Colonel Teguh deh earlier.”

“Originally I'm sorry to meet her husband Resti, sick of it!”

“Colonel Teguh who asked directly you know, you are asked to visit him!”

“Let's meet Resti how ya?”

“Our goal is to visit her husband, don't flirt with Resti. Still a man's wife she is!”

“Ya, yes. When are we going to go there?”

“Later in the afternoon, later I prepare the parcel to carry.”

“Any hospital? Not dr. Ramelan right? I'm a little traumatized going there!”

“In fact, soldiers know the language of trauma. He's at Bhakti Rahayu Hospital. Forget about Utami, let's just say she never existed!”

“Iyaaaa. I'll pick you up at home in the afternoon, will I? Your wife is also not?”

“No, please do not take small children to the hospital area!”

“OK, later if you want to walk, I'll call you again!” click, phone disconnected.

In the afternoon, I still have something to do, so after the magrib I can just pick up Suryo and go together to the hospital. In the car we were more silent, tracing each other's thoughts. The awkwardness is clear in plain sight, why I was asked to visit Resti's husband. I intentionally kept away from him from before.

Arriving in front of Irvan's ward, Resti's husband stopped his steps. Suryo looks at me, “keep your heart, who is sincere to be blessed!”

I nodded and knocked on the door a few times. The door curtain is revealed from the inside, Resti's face is visible from the outside and the door opens, “assalamualaikum,” me and Suryo compactly say hello. “Waalaikumsalam,” Resti nervously replied to us, then let us into the treatment room.

The VIP treatment room is very spacious with the main gurney for patients and next to it there is a small mattress for the patient companion, in the front there is a large sofa with a soft wide carpet, refrigerator, refrigerator, LED television, a long cabinet equipped with glass for makeup, on the back there is a kitchen bar, and, one door faces the balcony and another door towards the parking lot located under this inpatient room.

Suryo handed over the fruit parcel that had been prepared from home earlier on Resti, “thank you!” resti slowly.

“Still hasn't changed much, just groaned in pain all day. Maybe now it is calmer after being given pain relief medication,” replied Resti while rubbing her husband's forehead.

It was seen that Irvan's neck was bandaged, his right arm too, either part of his leg because it was covered in a blanket.

“What are the injuries?” Suryo asked.

“Hbroken right hand, cracked neck. Maybe when the airbag expands, its position does not use a seat belt. Angga slammed far ahead!” Resti lowered his head and covered both of his faces with both of his hands.

“In just let it go, he's already calm there!” I said softly, it must be difficult to get through these times.

“Now just focus on taking care of Irvan mas ya! We pray for his recovery.” Suryo.

Resti took a tissue and cleaned his tears, “please drink,” Resti took a few jars of snacks from the closet and then put on the table in front of us.

Hmm, there was a moaning sound from Irvan, Resti immediately approached her husband. “Honey, rest again yes!”

I threw away my face at Resti's words that I hated so much.

“Who is it?” ask Irvan.

“There are friends mother wants to visit father,” replied Resti.

“Who?” ask Irvan again.

“Letnan Suryo equals Lieutenant Imam!” Resti gave her husband a gap to see the guests who came to visit him.

“Priest? Where is she?” Irvan looked at us, I smiled at him. “I want to talk to Imam!” lirih.

I approached her bed, Suryo grabbed my hand as I stood up. We approached Irvan who called me.

I tried to smile towards the weakly lying Irvan, “iya, I am here!” I said while stroking his hand, “get well yes!”

“You ruined my family! You made my son die!” Irvan yells. Resti immediately shut Irvan's mouth. “It was an accident, baby. Mas Imam had nothing to do with this incident, he was innocent!” Resti hugged and kissed her husband. Suryo pulled me back.

“He killed Angga! How dare you come here! You won't be able to snatch Resti from me,” Irvan's voice choked, his chest rising and falling unstable.

“Darling, don't be. Be calm, you must be strong, you must be healed! Don't think of anything else!” Resti cried hugging her husband.

“His eyes are closed, call a doctor immediately!” Suryo. I'm still confused about what happened. Suryo retrieves the emergency phone handle located not far from the patient's gurney. “Doctor, please come here soon. Patient in danger!”

Resti was crying, her husband was not moving. The doctor and several nurses came to the room. The three of us were asked to leave the room.

Resti was still sobbing outside with us. “Propay yes, Res! Your husband will be fine!” Suryo calms Resti. Then Suryo called someone, I think he called Colonel Teguh. Half an hour passed, the doctor had not come out and we had not been allowed into the room.

Shortly thereafter, Colonel Teguh and his wife came. “What's up?” ask the Commander.

“Irvan looks shocked at Imam!” Suryo explained.

Colonel Teguh pulled me and Suryo away from the crying mother and son hugging.

“How was it?” ask Colonel Firmly to us.

“Tadi Irvan asked me to approach him, after I approached, he said that I destroyed his family, I caused the death of his son. Though I was not involved in the incident at all!” my clear.

“Truely so?” ask Colonel Teguh to Suryo.

“Ready, true Ndan!”

“He was devastated by the death of his son! I guess with your presence here can improve the situation.” Colonel Teguh rubbed his face.

“Actually what happened to Irvan? Why did the accident happen? Irvan himself was the one who brought the car?” ask Suryo.

“Iya, Irvan went with Angga from home at high speed. Single accident because it hit a roadblock. You better just go home. Thanks for visiting.” Colonel Teguh allowed us to go home.

Doctor out of the treatment room, “sorry, like the patient has to be moved to the ICU room!”

All of us in the corridor were shocked. Suryo quickly said goodbye and then invited me to leave the place immediately.
