With a step in, I walked towards one of the rooms in the hospital.
Mas Aji got a call earlier that Aksa, my second child who had just turned 5 years old was in an accident. Victims of hit-and-runs to be precise.
Thankfully, the situation is not too bad. Just bruises and blisters on some parts of his body.
"It's fine, isn't it, Doc?" ask me when I arrive.
"Now things have improved, ma'am, sir. His wounds are treated."
I sighed, relieved. Then, I approached Aksa who was now asleep. Mas Aji was outside, receiving a call from out of nowhere.
"Mother ..." Aksa woke up, calling me a wail.
"Yes, honey. Mother is here." I gently rubbed her hair. "Will you drink?"
Aksa nodded. Then, nimbly, I took him some drinking water.
"Dad's coming, Mother?"
I smiled at the question coming out of Aksa's mouth. I told you, that the children cannot be separated from their father. Especially when you are sick like this.
"Couthful. But call again first, soon it's done."
Aksa nodded.
"Any rest again, huh? Let it heal quickly."
He said, lying back down. Before long, Mas Aji came back in with a face that could be said to be bad. There's emotion there. His jaw was hardened and his eyes were red.
He was sitting in the same chair, right next to me. Curious, I asked, "Are you okay?"
He looked towards me.
"Whose phone call, Mom? Cynthia, huh? Any issues?"
Mas Aji even clucked. "Stop said her name again."
I cringe. "Why?"
Mas Aji did not answer. The next second, Mas Aji hugged my body. Hiding his face in the recess of my neck. I let. It's okay, maybe this is what he needs right now. After all, he's still my husband.
"Let's be like this. It needs calm" he said.
I'm nodding. My hands were raised to rub his back.
"Is there a problem, Mom?"
Before replying, Mas Aji inhaled in the scent of my neck. "That woman, she did it."
"Who is that woman?" many confused.
Mas Aji took off his grip. "Cynthias. He's the one who hit Aksa."
I jerked. Staring at Mas Aji asking for an explanation.
"Mas asked people to find the perpetrator who hit Aksa. And earlier, the man on the phone. He said he found the motor used by the perpetrator. After being traced it turns out the culprit is a woman, Cynthia."
"Mas ... Seriously?"
Mas Aji nodded. "Yes, honey. That woman, the one who made our Aksa like this."
"But why?" I'm still confused.
Mas Aji sighed furiously. "Maybe he was angry with Mas because Mas has finished our relationship so. He did not accept it and instead vented all this to Aksa."
I shuddered in disbelief hearing it. That woman is really reckless.
"Mas ... You have to talk to him, tell him that your relationship can continue. Because our marriage is also ..."
"Enough! Don't ever talk about it again. Our marriage will continue." Mas Aji cut my words in an unusual tone. There is anger there.
"Maos ..." I haven't finished my words yet. Someone came from the door.
"I'm sorry, sir, ma'am, if you're interrupting. I just want to give you a prescription. Later you or I can redeem at the pharmacy." The sister said while handing out a piece of paper.
After leaving, he left again.
"I take the medicine first, Mas" I said as I got up.
Mas Aji is banning. "Let's just. You wait here."
I'm shaking. "No, Mas. Let me take the medicine, you must be tired. Take care of Aksa. Also Aksa nanyain you."
Mas Aji according to. I started walking outside the room. Towards a pharmacy not far from Aksa's room.
After I finished taking the medicine according to the prescription from the Doctor, I again stepped towards the room. On the road, due to being too focused on the medicines at hand, I suddenly bumped into someone's body. As a result, some of the drugs I brought were scattered.
"Who, Salwa?"
I looked up at the face of the person I just hit. With a surprised face I said, "Karel?"
The man I called Karel chuckled at my surprise.
I smiled seeing him. "Are you here?"
Karel nodded. "Yes, it was two days ago actually. Btw, what are you doing here?"
"Oh this." I pointed to the medicine I was carrying. "The accident must be treated here."
Karel was a little surprised to hear that. "What's the situation now?" tanyanya panic.
I chuckle at hearing it. "It's getting better now, really."
Karel breathed a sigh of relief. "May I look up to Aksa?"
I nodded enthusiastically. "Of course you can dong. But you're not busy, are you?"
Karel shakes.
"Yes, come on." I took her to Aksa's room.
Until, seeing me who came with Karel, Mas Aji stood up from his seat. Looking strangely at me and Karel.
"Mas .." I said. "This is Karel, my old high school friend."
Karel thrust his hand, shaking hands. Mas Aji accepted it even though ogah-ogahan.
"Daddy."
"Carel."
"Sit down, Rail," I said.
The man smiled. "No, Wa."
I nodded, not forcing either.
"His medicine has been redeemed, dear?" Mas Aji asked.
Karel and I turned to him.
"Udah, Mas."
Mas Aji nodded. Then turned his gaze towards Karel. "Why can you meet?"
"Ah that ... I also have business in the hospital. It was accidentally papasan, and Salwa told me that Aksa was sick so I stopped by. No problem, right?" karel asked doubtfully.
Mas Aji nodded. "No problem, I'm just not comfortable" he said, turning his eyes to Aksa.
I was shocked to hear her words just now. Then I gave him a look of dislike. "Mas!" my perspiration.
"Oh yes already. Excuse me. Wa, I'll excuse you. May Aksa get better soon." Karel is a bit clumsy.
"Eh, Rail ..." My words were cut off by the sarcastic speech of Mas Aji.
"Yes please. Thanks for visiting."
Karel then left. I let out a rough breath. He glanced at Mas Aji who gave an innocent look.
"This is nothing, anyway?!"
Mas Aji frowned. "Why?"
"Why do you talk so much to Karel."
"What's wrong?"
Holy hooch!
"hey are. Disrespectful. He came here with good intentions why did Mas even throw it out?"
Mas Aji turned his gaze towards Aksa, again. "It is not good to bring another man, while your husband is here."
I pushed my eyes to hear it. Then chuckle cynically. "Bad? How are you doing, Mas?"
Mas Aji was silent.
"Karel. Not my mistress, Mom! Then what's the problem?" I said. "Mas Aji is jealous? Or how? If so, did you ever think the same thing when you had a mistress? Do you care if I get hurt and get jealous? No, right! I just want to be myself without caring about me and the kids."
I let out a rough breath. "Originally Mas know, Karel understands and cares more about me all this time."
