Fate Breakers

Fate Breakers
Elf

Riel's journey goes on without any change except for her arrow bow which is now getting stronger due to the magic effect that Lularia gives.

"Aaaah, why is it so difficult to find a job that can get rewards in the form of gold and such." Grumpy Riel while eating the meat of his quarry on the riverbank.

BOOM UP!

The sound of a huge explosion was heard not far from where Riel was.

"Magic?" Riel immediately finished her meal and ran over to the source of the sound.

His logic was completely unusable now after seeing things beyond reason.

Finally Riel arrived at a vast expanse of grassland visible a plume of pitch-black smoke towering high. All around him was a group of people with red pointed hats and long robes covering the entire body.

Riel tried to get to them. But his legs stopped moving as he saw the figure of the girl with short shoulder-length hair and the familiar face coming out from the wisp of smoke.

"AIRA!" Riel's shout made the witches throw angry glances at her. One of them raised his hand forward then a magic circle spun and shone brightly until it finally let out a fireball that shot fiercely towards Riel.

Riel's reflexes are great. He managed to avoid the fireball by rolling to the side and immediately running again towards the witches.

The other witch raised her hand and threw a fireball at Riel. This time he did not dodge but took his bow and fired back. Unfortunately Riel's arrow melted with the fireball and became ashes just like that. Riel didn't get to avoid it this time.

BOOM UP!

Riel fell during the fireball attack. There were no burns caused by the attack. Unknowingly Riel was enveloped in a transparent shield that came from nowhere. It turned out that the shield was protecting Riel from the fireball.

The witches looked even more angry. But they did not attack Riel but rather the shoulder-haired girl who was in front of them.

The spark of fire followed by a red electric light made the girl scream loudly.

"Shpejtsi!" Riel cast a spell of speed and slid as fast as the wind as he had against the Minotaurus.

Bugh!

A single blow landed on the face of one of the witches. The witch was helpless. Now the remaining 5 witches are ready to attack Riel at any time.

"SPHRTYES!" Riel shouted an explosive spell in front of the 5 witches and...

BOOM UP!

The same explosion occurred exactly as in the forest of Giganus. Riel did not think about how he could use magic even though he had never learned it.

The 5 witches disappeared from Riel's presence. So did the witch who had been sprawled helplessly due to Riel's punch.

Riel approached the girl behind him. He was covered in the same transparent shield as the shield that had been protecting Riel.

"You okay Aira? I-" Riel stopped talking when she saw the girl's ears. Its long and pointed shape. Not really like a human.

"Thank you." The girl hid her ears with her brown hood.

"You? Ah sorry. You're so much like someone I know."

"You saw my ears. Please don't kill me." The girl looked very scared.

"What's my reason for killing you?" Riel looked confused at the girl's words.

"I'm an Elf. You human race must hate us so much because of what happened 500 years ago."

"What happened 500 years ago? You mean the fairy tale about the disaster caused by the explosion of the Valinor tree that made half the human race extinct?" Riel tried to remember the fairy tale her mother had told her.

"bulls? It really happened. Ah it seems like the parents of the human race tell this to their grandchildren as a fairy tale. But the witch organizations you've been facing must really know everything about the tragedy in this world."

"Ah shit, why is everything that mom told me really real." Riel grumbled to herself.

"But you're really not gonna kill me, are you?" The girl did not seem to trust Riel.

"No. I don't have any grudges against the Elves. I'm just going on an adventure to meet the people I love." Riel replied a little shyly.

"But you can use magic. I thought you were one of the magic organizations."

"Hmm like that. What's your name adventurer?" The girl seemed to start believing in Riel.

"Riel Erax - no. Riel. Just Riel."

The girl was a little confused. But in the end he didn't care.

"I'm Seira. Sorry to suspect you."

Riel could not look at Seira's face. His face was completely similar to the Aira he loved. It was just that he had sharp ears that towered through his black hair.

"Where are you going Riel? Maybe I can help you because I saved my life."

"Datraoch." Riel answered briefly.

"What a coincidence. I want to go home to my village. And that goes with Datraoch. What if I go with you and leave all your needs to me?"

Riel wanted to reject him because Seira really made him miss Aira. But what happens if he leaves her here?

"Emm okay. But, can you use camouflage magic or something? I'm sorry, but you look a lot like someone I know. And that makes me-"

"All right." Seira cut Riel's speech.

The wind swirled around Seira's body. His body slowly shrunk and turned into an eagle with golden feathers.

"Well, what's this magic?" Riel was surprised to see Seira now flying around him.

"Magic transformation. We elves can use all sorts of magic thanks to the power and blessings of the stars."

"But it's daytime?" Riel confused.

"Haha. You're so funny. The stars will be up there. It's only invisible during the day because the light isn't bright enough to fight the sun."

Riel just scratched his gray hair a sign he didn't understand what Seira was saying.

"alright. Can we continue our journey?" Ask Seira who can't wait to get home soon.

"Ah yes, all right. Let's go for it."

Riel was not alone on her journey. He was accompanied by a golden eagle that could speak.

--

"Hey Riel's. You said you wanted to meet someone you love, right?" Ask Seira on their journey that is not much discussion.

"Yes. Why why?"

"What does it feel like to love someone?"

Riel never got that kind of question from anyone. He was a little confused to answer.

"I-it feels like I don't want to lose him. I want to be by her side like I used to."

"So you're separated? May the gods predestine you to meet again."

"Seira. I don't care if you think I'm stupid. But I won't let the gods rule my life. I'll set it up myself."

"Enak once yes have such determination. I'm too weak to manage my own life."

"No Seira. We are all weak. But being weak does not mean you cannot be strong. Keep fighting and achieving your goals. If your goal has been achieved, do not stop there. Help people achieve their goals. That's what I always heard from my mom when I was a kid."

"It looks like your mother was a great person huh."

They laughed and kept talking after. Riel no longer considers Seira to be similar to Aira. Seira praised him more often while Aira actually more often mocked him. But he just so missed the ledge of Aira who usually filled his days as a child first.

"Airas. Don't taunt me when I see you later." Riel murmured in his heart.
