Fate Breakers
Magic Is Real

After receiving an assignment from Lularia, Riel headed for the forest of Giganus spoken of by Lularia.

The forest is in front of the village of Peme. Maybe Riel will return through this forest when he has already got the reward from Lularia.

This Giganus forest is more foggy than the forest that Riel passed before stopping in the village of Peme. The trees are bigger and bigger. Riel also did not feel any sign of animals that could be hunted for food.

"So what should I give to Lularia? There are no animals to hunt here." Riel's muttered confused.

Krssssskkk krrsssskk

The bushes behind Riel let out her distinctive voice. Riel immediately aimed her bow at the bush earlier.

"The hunt begins!" Riel pulled out her bow and released an arrow towards the bush earlier.

Shoot it!

Looks like Riel's arrow didn't hit anything behind the bush. Riel approached the place where the arrow fell.

There's nothing there. Just an arrow stuck to the ground.

"Where'd it go? Hmm what animal was behind the bush? Haha, stupid, I didn't even see it. Just heard the sound of this bush." Riel picked up his arrows and...

Bugh!

Riel was thrown away from where she was standing and hit by a large tree behind her.

Blurry views. Only a tall figure with a large body full of fur was seen before Riel now. Riel rubbed her eyes. Then it was clear now that the creature in front of him was a Minotaurus.

With a height of about 3 meters, a muscular body full of feathers and a giant hammer in his hand. The minotaurus spouted hot steam from its blooming nose.

Riel stared at the creature. Now in his mind were filled with many questions. Why did the story you always told me come true now? Or are all the stories you tell true?

Minotaurus raised the giant hammer in his hand and prepared to launch a second attack.

Riel regained consciousness from her daydream and immediately rolled over to dodge the Minotaurus attack.

BRAAKK!

One big tree fell in one hit.

Riel prepared her bow and ran looking for the right position to attack.

Shoot it!

Riel's arrows shot out and lodged in the Monster's body. However, the monster continued to chase after Riel as if he did not feel anything from Riel's attack.

"No mempan? That's right!" Riel panic.

Punch after blow has been launched. This fight is one-sided. Riel who can only dodge must fight a Minotaurus who is immune to all his attacks.

"Then how did I beat him. Damnit damnit! If only I had a sword. I'll fight him up close."

Riel continued to dodge while devising a strategy in order to defeat the monster.

BRUGGH!

This time Riel failed to dodge the monster's attack and made it again bounce very far.

"AAA SICK! YOU FUCKING BULL!" Riel took out her dagger and ran towards the Minotaurus.

"Hap!" Riel jumped towards the minotaurus while pulling out her dagger.

BRUGH!

Vain. Riel even got one fatal attack on his right hand.

The monster approached Riel. His hammer was raised right above Riel's head and was ready to smash him in a single strike.

"If all of mom's stories are true. This spell should be used as well." Riel cast a spell with a choking sound.

"He-rthy-es..."

BOOM UP!

Riel's body was enveloped in a red light. A great explosion just happened.

The birds flew and filled the sky above the forest of Giganus. The dust clump blocked Riel's view.

He was confused about what had happened just now.

Riel tried to stand with the rest of her strength. He was surprised to see the situation around him. Everything is burning. Now Riel is standing in a small crater from an explosion.

"What happened just now? Did I cast magic? Is the explosion magic that you're telling me about real?" His head was completely confused by everything he had experienced.

Riel is too busy with his thoughts that he does not realize that the Minotaurus he is fighting has not lost.

"Oh shit, it turns out he's strong too. Hmph, it doesn't seem to hurt if I try out the spells I'd like from some mother fairy tale." Riel returned to her fighting position. This time he did not use his bow but a dagger.

"shpejtsi, force, vdekje." Riel returns to cast the spell she remembers from her mother's story.

Power flows within Riel. He felt faster and stronger. He also felt a burning desire to kill.

Riel glided towards the minotaurus as fast as the wind. His body collided with the monster along with the dagger at the heart of the minotaurus.

Not enough to blow the dagger into the monster's heart, Riel tore apart the dying Minotaurus' stomach. The desire to kill him was really burning.

One. two. three. Riel's dagger was unceasingly unsheathed into the body of the already lifeless monster.

"Why? Why can't I stop? This is. This is too much fun."

DEG!

Suddenly Riel's heart seemed to stop for a moment. Riel immediately drooped limp and fainted on top of Minotaurus' body.

Lularia who apparently saw the fight Riel brought Riel back to her house. Riel was unaware of Lularia's presence due to her camouflage magic.

--

Riel wakes up in Lularia's house. He tried to sit with his body still limp and see the familiar scenery around him.

"Hey Lularia, how did I get here?" Riel guessed that Lularia was nearby.

"I saw you fight. Then I took you when you passed out on that monster's body."

A wisp of pink mist suddenly appeared before Riel. Then from inside the fog looks beautiful long hair brownish. The dark brown dress followed out from within the fog. Then the face of a woman of Riel's mother's age was seen smiling with appreciation. Finally Lularia showed her figure in front of Riel.

"Adventurer, I'm really grateful to you for defeating that monster. Even if you do something stupid like using soul-killing magic. Luckily I was there and I saved you. Lularia approached Riel and sat down next to her.

"Soul-killing magic? What'sthat?" Riel frowned.

"You don't know? You cast 3 spells at once at the end of the battle. One of them is Vdekje. It's a spell for soul-killing magic. Promise me not to use it again."

"Hey, I don't even know if the spell casing turns out to be useful." Riel answered as if she had done nothing.

"Just don't use that mantra anymore. Oh yeah, I promised you a reward. Can I borrow your bow?"

"Ah, please." Riel handed her bow.

Lularia grabbed the bow and closed her eyes and began chanting incantations that Riel could not hear.

Lularia's hands emitted a golden light. Then slowly a carving formed on top of Riel's arrow bow. It was a book he could not read.

"Done. This may not be much. But I assure you, this time your arrows will always be able to hurt monsters like minotaurs before." Lularia returned Riel's bow.

"Ah thank you Lularia. This is very helpful."

"Thank God."

"Oh yes, may I ask you a question?" Riel asked with a face full of question marks.

"What's that?"

"How do I send a letter to Datraoch? I want to call my childhood friend. I want to know what's going on, and I also want him to know that I'm going to see him soon." Riel asked expectantly.

"Ah, my friend Leteria can use message-delivery magic. He sent his message through a dream. What do you want to say? Let me tell Leteria later."

Lularia's reply made the black-shawed adventurer excited.

"Please tell Aira I'm fine and I'll see her soon. Then tell him too" Riel couldn't continue his words.

"If you love her?" Guess Lularia's origin and make Riel's face suddenly reddened.

"Ah, whatever." Riel turned her face red.

"Haha you're so innocent huh, Adventurer." Lularia tried to tease Riel.

"I'll get Leteria your message." Lularia

"All right then. I'll go back on my way." Riel stood up from her bed.

"I'll take you upstairs."

The two of them left Lularia's house and headed for the surface.

"Thank you again for your help, adventurer. May the gods always bless you."

"Thank you Lularia." Riel shook Lularia's hand and gave her farewell.

Finally, Riel returned to Datraoch after his first fight was recorded in Peme Village. He was surprised when he looked back. The entire population of Peme Village showed their form while waving their hands towards Riel. Everyone was wearing a brown robe like the one used by Lularia. Maybe it was their custom shirt. Riel smiled and returned the wave of their hands as she continued to step up.

The Datraoch kingdom

A beautiful girl with short shoulder-length hair looks good in her sleep.

"Aira, do you still remember me? I'm Riel. Someone who promised to marry you as a child. How are you doing now? I'm always waiting for you to come home to Sapphire. But it turns out you're not coming back. So I'll meet you. Wait there. I-I love you." The figure of the man he recognized suddenly disappeared from his sight and turned into the dark ceiling of his house. The girl woke up from her dream.

"Riel, you better not come here."
