Fate Breakers
Poison

"Please... Riel..." Tears started to flow down Seira's cheeks. He remembered someone in his past.

"I-I want to eat the meat of the bu-bird." Riel stammered.

"Stupid." Riel could have comforted Seira who was worried as well as frightened.

Seira immediately moved Riel to a safer place then returned to the battlefield.

Two on one. The Harpies chuckled at Seira who was now alone.

"What?! You think I'm scared?" Challenge Seira while wiping her tears.

"Stralen!" Seira cast a spell that created a very bright light in front of the two Harpies he was facing.

The creature was flying uncorruptedly, crashing into each other as his gaze was blinded by Seira's artificial light.

"Ik ben de ruine. Ik ben de leegte's. Zondig schepsel. ga terug naar de bodem van de hel." Again Seira cast a spell with his remaining strength.

A magic circle appeared above the Harpies who still could not see anything. The magic circle grew bigger followed by the writings of the Elf language that can only be read by the Elves themselves.

"CANDY!"

From the magic-circle came a blaze that slammed down. Burn those merciless Harpies. Slowly the flames began to be accompanied by successive explosions that continued to torment the Harpies inside.

"YYYYAAAAAHHHH!!!" Seira put all his energy into it.

Booms!

The magic circle disappeared along with a very powerful explosion that exceeded Riel's explosive magic.

"Everyone, let's attack!" There was a scream behind the two teenagers.

"HOOOOOO!!!" A chorus of citizens ran towards the smoke plume left over by Seira's explosive magic.

"Ah, finally help is coming." Said Seira who then fell unconscious on the spot where she stood.

"Where did the monster go?!" Said the leader of the group of citizens who was none other than the gatekeeper of the spring.

"It looks like the girl just wiped it out with her magic." Saut one of the citizens.

"So?" Said the gatekeeper.

"We've won?" Further.

"Not us, but them." Replied one of the residents while pointing towards Riel and Seira who were lying on the ground.

"Bring them to the village physician. The others fix the problem here. Look, we've got a lot of things to take care of." Said the gatekeeper while pointing towards the dam of corpses that closed their spring.

"HOOOOOO!!!" The citizens are full of enthusiasm.

Riel and Seira are taken care of by a Physician in the Village. They were both not seriously injured, only that the poison embedded in Riel's body was very difficult to remove because only this time the Physician saw the poison possessed by Harpy.

"Uh..." Seira muttered while trying to open her eyes.

The first thing he saw was the ceiling of the room made of teak wood decorated with chandeliers that looked quite luxurious. His consciousness had not yet returned completely, he looked around and sensed that something strange was happening.

"RIEL?!" The girl's eyes were perfectly rounded. His consciousness suddenly recovered completely.

Seira tried to get up from her position but her body was not yet strong enough to move. Seira tries to move her body with great difficulty but the Physician arrives just in time as Seira almost falls from her bed.

"Hey! You can't get up yet." The Physician cried while supporting the body of Seira who lost her balance.

"Riel!" Seira did not listen to what a man in white clothes said in front of her.

"Your boyfriend? He's in the next room." Answer the Physician.

"Pa-boyfriend? He's just my partner." Seira Protest.

"Haha. Well, after all, how could a human possibly be in a relationship with an elf." The Physician replied that Seira reflexively pulled her brown hood and covered her pointed ears.

"Don't worry. You saved us from the water crisis. Even though you're an elf, we definitely appreciate you for the services you've done for this village." Said the Physician with a friendly smile.

"Oh yes, my name is Ezam. Hello to you." Ezam extended his hand.

"Yes... Seira." Seira ventured to shake Ezam's hand.

"Honestly, I'm having a hard time handling your friend. What exactly happened to him?" Ask Ezam.

"He's got Harpy's poison." Answer Seira.

"Harpy? That mythological creature really exists?" Ezam did not believe it.

"Yes. Poison is the proof." Answer Seira moody.

"Do you know how to neutralize it?" Ezam seemed curious about Seira's explanation.

"Yes... I'm the antidote to the poison." Seira replied with her slightly reddened face.

"Eh? Meanin?" Ezam did not understand.

"Elf bodies have the ability to be immune to any poison. So, I have to contain all the poison in Riel's body." Answer Seira.

"How?" Ezam continued to ask without pause.

"There are two ways to remove toxins from a person's body. First, I have to drink the blood of the person contaminated with the poison. But this way is pretty dangerous. Moreover, Riel was exposed to a poison with a very rare type."

"Then, the second one?" Once again, Ezam was still asking Seira a question.

"Ma..." Seira's face turned red.

You can see a huge curiosity in Ezam's eyes.

"The second is safer." Seira turned her gaze towards the flower vase located beside her bed.

"Hm... Then I'll leave him to you, okay? I've already given him some antidote for poison, maybe it could slightly inhibit its spread." Ezam replied, who left Seira in his room.

Now the elf girl was alone in her room. Seira opened her brown hood and tidied up her shoulder-length black hair that was so fine to the touch. After having enough energy to walk, Seira immediately approached Riel who was still unconscious in her room.

"Riel, I'm in." Said Seira while opening the door of Riel's room.

Now Seira saw her partner lying helplessly. Seira sat on the chair that had been provided beside Riel's bed. He continued to look at the innocent face of Riel that he rarely saw during their adventure together. His hands went down every inch of his partner's gray hair.

"It turns out you're really stupid, huh, Riel." Said Seira while rubbing Riel's head gently.

"You know? If you keep saving me like this, I can like you later." Seira rambles to herself.

"Are you really responsible if I fall in love with you? You just love your Aira, don't you? Yah... What Ezam said is true." Seira was silent for a moment.

"If humans and elves would not be able to unite." After taking a long breath.

Seira looked at Riel's slightly opened lips. The second way to neutralize toxins from a person's body is kissing. That was why Seira did not dare to say it in front of Ezam.

"Sorry." Seira closed her eyes as she slowly approached Riel's face.

The distance between Seira and Riel's lips was already very close. But, Seira suddenly stopped and instead kissed Riel's cheek. Seira smiled in satisfaction then she grabbed the dagger that was in her bag.

"No, Seira. It might be his first kiss. You can't just take it." Seira rambles to herself.

"Neutralizo." Seira cast a spell and began to suck the poison in Riel's body.

Just one drop of the Harpy poison touched Seira's tongue, the girl's body felt an excruciating pain. This poison was really so powerful that it could make an elf known to be immune to the poison in pain.

Just a little more. Seira almost lost consciousness from enduring the pain caused by the poison. But, if so he could have failed to save Riel.

"Aragh!" Seira finally finished transferring the poison from Riel's body into her mouth.

The girl took out a container to remove the deadly liquid that was now collected in her mouth. The poison was pitch-black in color with a somewhat viscous texture and an almost corpse-like odor.

Seira smiled with relief. Shortly after he moved the container full of poison, Riel began to move her eyelids. The pain Seira felt suddenly disappeared and replaced by a very happy feeling. He rubbed Riel's cheek which started to open his eyes slowly.

"Good morning, Princess is sleeping." Seira said as their eyes clashed against each other.

"A-ira?" The first thing Riel saw when she opened her eyes was the beautiful face of her partner who was rubbing her cheeks gently.

The happiness in Seira's heart crumbled as soon as she heard the name. However, he tried to endure it while throwing a warm smile at Riel.

"I'm Seira, not Aira." Replied Seira who was still rubbing Riel's cheek.

"Seira?" Riel rubbed her eyes so she could see clearly.

Riel saw a sadness hidden behind Seira's eyes. However, he did not understand what had actually happened. Riel tries to get up from her position aided by Seira.

"What's going on?" Ask Riel.

"I cooked those Harpies." Answer Seira.

"really? I'm so hungry now." Riel answered excitedly.

"But the fire I used was too big to make the bird burn with nothing left." Answer Seira moody.

"Stupid! I told you I wanted to eat bird meat." Replied Riel who had fully recovered.

"At the same time, only their wings are birds. The rest is just the sexy body of the woman so-called events." Seira turned her face pouting.

"Or don't-don't... You got a fetish like that?" Continue with perfectly rounded eyes.

"Stupid!" Riel pinched Seira's cheek anxiously.

"Aaaaa let go, fool!" Seira tried to let go of Riel's hand that pinched her cheek.

"You're a fool, you fool!" Riel does not want to lose.

"What the fuck?! You even fainted first against that Harpy." Complain Seira.

"Because I didn't know that smoke was poisonous."

"That's a sign you're stupid!"

"You're the fool for telling me too late, you fool!"

"Sorry." Seira's expression changed instantly.

"Well?" Riel has no idea what happened to Seira when she was unconscious.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier." Said Seira moody.

"You are yes!" Riel pinched Seira's cheek again. This time it was louder.

"Ooh-duh-duh-duh! Riel!" Seira did not understand why Riel was not angry at him. Though due to Seira's carelessness, Riel almost died.

Ezam was already in the room when the two teenagers were joking. He smiled faintly at this extremely rare occurrence. Elves and humans are so familiar with each other.

"Ehem!" Ezam tried to get the attention of the two of them who had ignored him.

The two of them turned towards the 30-year-old man wearing all-white clothes.

"Eh, Eham?" Said Seira with the cheek that was still pinched by Riel.

"Who is he?" Riel asked Seira.

"I'm Ezam. The healer who took care of you two after your fight against the two monsters that were troubling the citizens." Ezam replied as he walked closer to the two of them.

"Have you taken out the poison?" Ask Ezam to Seira.

"It's been. Hey, Hiel. Is he helepashan hananhu hini? (Already. Hey, Riel. Can you take your hand off this?)" Said Seira who had difficulty speaking.

"Ah, yes. Sorry." Riel let go of the pinch.

"Did you swallow the poison?" Ask Ezam again.

"I am an Elf. Not a Vampire." Answer Seira.

"yes too. Then where did you put the poison?" Ezam asked with a suspicious smile.

"Do you want what poison is?" Riel asked suspiciously.

"I just want to learn a little bit." Ezam looked at Riel with a sharp look.

"The poison is very dangerous. I was even in a lot of pain when I took it out." Seira.

"You? Take out the poison?" Riel looked at Seira in disbelief.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Seira briefly.

"How do you get the poison out? What does it mean you're not a vampire?" Riel checked his neck trying to find bite marks.

Seira's face flushed. Then he clasped Riel's arm and showed the scar Seira made with his dagger.

"It's amazing." Said Ezam who managed to find the poison container while Riel and Seira were chatting.

"Ezam!" Seru Seira's.

"I just checked it. I promise." Said Ezam while grinning.

"No, Ezam. The poison must be secured." Said the Village Chief who came escorted by his two personal guards.

Ezam gasped to see a figure he respected so much standing in front of him. His hand reflexively gave the container containing a very dangerous poison to the Village Chief's personal bodyguard.

"Riel and Seira, you are our heroes, you are the heroes of Vandkilder! With all due respect, I represent all the villagers to say a big thank you." Said the Village Chief while bowing his body.

Seira who was standing next to Riel immediately clasped the Village Chief's shoulder, telling him not to bend the body of everything.

"Is there anything we can help you with as a sign of our gratitude?" The Village Head. This time he stood tall in front of the two teenagers.

"Ma.mmm..." Riel and Seira were confused to answer. Only this time there was someone who offered such a thing to them.

"Then just take my gift from me, okay?" Said the Village Chief while taking out a pouch filled with gold coins.

"DOLL?!" Riel was very surprised to see the golden bag in the hands of the Village Chief.

"Don't worry. If you leave immediately tomorrow, stop by every store you like. I've ordered them to give you their merchandise for free." Continue the Village Chief with his friendly smile.

"WHICH IS TRUE?!" The two teenagers said together.
