Distance to Heart

Distance to Heart
P a r t 11

As usual, today I am doing my job as an obstetrician, many patients come to check the pregnancy or just a consultation to get offspring. I'm happy to be able to help every patient who comes to my practice room. I also feel the joy when they are happy because they will get a new family. Even in the depths of my heart. It hurts my heart so much. Because I can't be a good mother to my own child.

At that time I would rather give up than be a tough woman to care for and raise her newborn five years ago. I would rather live out my dreams and aspirations of becoming a successful doctor than a successful mother to her child. Actually every time I see a baby. It crossed my mind. How wicked and guilty I am to the baby I gave birth to. Regrets will come later.

The clock shows lunch time. I had prepared to tidy up the practice room to head immediately to the dining room for the hospital staff including the medics to have lunch together, but before going to the room. Suddenly the room phone rings and the sound makes me a little jolted.

The crane! The crane! The crane!

"Yes, hello" I said.

"Sorry to disturb, Doctor Naya," a nurse replied on the phone.

"Yes, what's wrong?"

"Look, there's someone who wants to see the doctor,"

"Now,"

"Yes Doc, he said urgently,"

"You've asked. Who is he and what is his purpose for meeting me?"

"It's Doc, but he still doesn't want to answer the reason. If you haven't met the doctor in person,,"

"What a strange person" I murmured.

"You just find an excuse. I'm busy with a lot of patients, that's it,"

"Already Doc. He said he'd wait until the doctor finished his practice,"

"But stubborn. Who the hell is that guy?" mumbling again.

"Yes, you told him. Where is my practice room. Let me face the man" I explained as I ended the call.

"Well Doc,"

After a few minutes, the door of the practice room suddenly opened without being knocked first. By someone and that surprised me. He was a black-eyed man, dressed in a neatly-fitting suit with a maroon tie around his neck. Suddenly snuggled into this practice room.

"Come with me now!" he said as the man stood before me.

"I'm not busy anymore. You better get out of here. Get out!"

"Let's get up fast, or I'll go bopong nih,"

"I'm not scared. Please if you can, I'll call Satpam. Let you get kicked out of here!"

"OKAY. I count to three or you really I'm a bopong,"

"One... Two... Ti-i,"

I just stared cynically at Andra and immediately picked up the phone handle instead of following her wishes. This time I was not afraid of the threat.

"What are you going to do, Kanaya? Come with me quickly! I don't have much time" he said annoyed.

"I want to call Satpam now!"

"Kanaya, yeah. Don't try to kidnap that. Hurry up you lower the phone or you, I'll go bustle right now!" threaten her.

I keep flinching at his threat. Until making the man ride apitam then with a quick movement he recklessly carried me out of the practice room. All the way to the building exit. Of course we both became the center of attention of many people. Shame is certain, but what my day is that is only a woman. To face a reckless and stubborn man like Syailendra Dwiki Aditama.

Andra then lifted me up to her car, not forgetting she also put me on my seatbelt. I don't know where he's taking me? For sure as long as the man drives his vehicle. I just kept quiet and the man drove his vehicle at high speed. The direction to be addressed is not in the city but the suburbs of the capital. Until finally I was made dumbfounded because the intended place turned out to be a fairly large and elite hospital in the suburban area of Jakarta.

After getting off the car. My hands were tightly held by him. At all he did not give me any space to move anything more than to release my hand from his hand for a moment. Although several times I forced to let go of that grip, but still I lost. Because the power is certainly stronger. I really can't get away from a guy named Andra.

Looks like Andra will take me to a room she's been to before. This could be seen as he passed through many rooms without the need to ask the hospital attendant.

We both headed to the second floor by elevator. I don't know who the guy wants to take me to the nursery? Or to another room. Until finally he and I stopped in the practice room of a doctor named Doctor Atmadja Wirahadi Wijaya.

It was different when Andra walked into my practice room earlier. This time, he was so polite and did not break the rules. Andra then knocked on the door of the room and before long a voice from inside the room was heard telling us to come in.

"Good afternoon Doctor Atmadja, this is Kanaya. This is the woman I was telling you about, Doc, "it suddenly introduced me to the middle-aged doctor with that gray hair.

The middle-aged doctor nodded and invited the two of us to sit in the available chairs

While I myself am still confused by all this. Why did Andra suddenly introduce me to this middle-aged doctor, what was her true purpose?

"Oh, she's so pretty. Apparently a doctor too. Where's Doctor Kanaya?" askinya.

"Two hospitals, Doc,"

"Have been his doctor for a long time,"

"It's been seven years,"

"Oh okay. Sister please take this doctor to the blood draw room, because I need his blood right away,"

"Good, Doc,"

"But wait! Why should I have his blood drawn? What's for?" cecarku.

"For blood transfusion. To help a little boy named Asyifa," explained Dr. Atmadja.

"Razka, who is he?" I said in my heart.

Without a doubt I finally went to the blood draw room. Follow the nurse who's taking me to the lab room. There my blood was taken some CC during the taking, I kept thinking why did Andra do all this? Why don't the man just buy blood in the PMI area or the central PMI. Why should my blood? But behind all that. I'm sincere in being able to help someone with my blood.

After the blood draw, I also intend to return to my hospital immediately. Because I, have left the practice room without permission and still counted hours of duty.

"Where are you going?" asked Andra who had been waiting in the waiting room.

"To the hospital again. That was me being kidnapped by a coercive man,"

"Kidnapped you say?" he said as he crossed paths and smiled cynically.

"What his name brings people by force, it means kidnapping" I replied.

"You sure don't want to know. Who is sick and needs a blood transfusion from you?"

"No," I replied loudly.

Honestly the sentence that Andra said made me waver. I wonder who needs my blood, or it's just her wits to be with me.

"Listen yes, Kanaya. Even though I forced you, what I did was. Because I'm desperate, so inevitably you have to force me for the sake of someone valuable in my life" he explained.

The precious man, who. Or maybe it's his wife ?"

Seriate...

No one is waiting, yes. It's okay too. I just want to write. Who knows, kayak ciki? Greetings from Yellow Bucket 💛
