In the midst of the Rain

It is now into January. Time really quickly passed.

"Nic." call me to Nico who's focused on his laptop.

"What?"

"There's something I want to talk about" I said.

He immediately looked at me.

"What?" ask again.

"There was a serious problem in my uterus that made it difficult for me to have children" I said.

I was sitting looking at the window with a blank look.

Jres...

It's raining outside now.

When does this rain stop? How's Nico doing? Is the work going well?

Drrt... Drrtt...

Whose HP number is this?

"Hello?"

"Hey, Bri. It's me Steven" he said on the phone.

"Stevens?"

My mouth was unable to say anything else, other than saying his name earlier.

"Bri." call Steven.

"Eh? Yea?"

"I'm in front of your house right now, can you open the door for me?"

"Wait a minute. I'll open it soon."

I moved out of my seat. And open the door.

"Stev." call me while looking for his whereabouts.

Is he lying? Never mind, what I wish for him.

"Bri." call Steven who's outside the fence.

I hurriedly opened the fence.

"Stev." call me clean.

Our eyes met each other and the taste that once existed, began to return again in the midst of the torrential rain.

"I miss" said Steven.

He immediately hugged me. The hug I missed so far, I can feel back today.

I want time to stop.

I want to remember this moment for the rest of my life.

He took off his embrace and looked at me. Holding my chin, and then kissed my lips that were wet with rain.

That day might be a day I won't forget. Where he came back to see me, and gave me the feeling I always wanted back.

"Now, the hot chocolate" I said, giving him the cup.

"Thank you." Steven replied.

He drank the hot chocolate slowly.

"Is it okay for me to borrow Nico's clothes?" ask Steven.

"Father."

Things get awkward back.

"Why did you cancel your marriage to Karin?" my many.

"I went to neutralize my thoughts. And I canceled the wedding because I realized it wasn't the wedding I wanted."

"You mean?"

"It's not Karin I want to be my wife" she replied, looking at me.

"Then? Who do you want?"

"You. You're the one I want."

"We can't possibly unite, Stev. Our paths are different."

He just looked at me with a look I couldn't understand.

"Is there any love between you and Nico?" tanyakanya.

"Maybe."

He went back to silence and drank his hot chocolate.

"Why didn't you ever tell me you had cancer?" my many.

"So I told you yes?"

"Yes. And I need clarity from you."

"I don't know how I got this disease, but obviously I only found out in High School."

"Then? Why don't you do the treatment?"

"If, I do the treatment. Will I be able to recover completely?"

"But we can slow it down."

"The doctor said I'm not long anymore. And he told me to spend time with the people I love before I leave."

"Is there no hope for you to heal?" many sad.

"none. The doctor said the chances are small."

My Steven is leaving this world soon? What does it mean I'll never see her back?

"Bri, I would love it if you were with me at the end of my life" Steven said, holding both my hands.

"Stev." I said softly.
